I am aware you're not really supposed to post just an author's note. However it seemed sporting to do so in this case. This story is just over 10 years dead. I had reread it with the intention of restarting it, or rewriting it. However I found that it no longer met my standards and that the plot such as it was was bare and no longer interested me as it once did. Thus I am closing the door on this fic. It will not be continued. However that doesn't mean i'm done with FF8 or with this idea wholly. I have started a new story. The evolution of this one and hopefully a marked improvement. A less slice-of-life take on the concept but one that is hopefully more compelling and faster moving. Echo Through Eternity is the name of the spiritual successor and chapter 1 is already up. Chapter 2 is being drafted right now. It is currently in parallel with my other story being written for Naruto, a complete rewrite of the series more or less from the ground up. I write whenever the mood takes me and I hope you will find my skills quite improved from my younger self.
I've grown more ambitious.
I hope some of you might forgive my letting this work die.
