Chapter Four: The Informant

They all let out a war-cry, loudest being Giratina and Rayquaza. Everyone in the world knew then, that someone committed a deliberate act of war against the legendaries and that they wanted only thing: revenge.

On with the show;

The legends searched the planet, for weeks without success. They searched, grew more frustrated with every fail. Though, one day, Mewtwo was expressing his frustration with Rayquaza. "We've searched the whole planet twice and can't find them," "I know, and with every day that passes Ash suffers even more," "When I get my hands on Giovanni, I am going to ring his neck."

"Excuse me," the two legends turned to see a mail man. "Yes?" "You two are legendaries, correct?" "Yes what is it to you? We are busy" "You are Lord Mewtwo, are you not?" Mewtwo just nodded. "I have a letter for you, milord." Mewtwo took the letter and opened it, Ray reading over his shoulder, in red ink, it said, "Dear Lord Mewtwo, I know that you search for Ash and those who kidnapped him. I know where they are. Meet me in the café at three o'clock. Signed, a friend." "Do you think it could be a trap?" Ray asked Mewtwo. "I don't think so, doesn't feel like it, but never the less, it might be." "Should I come with you?" "No, but stay close, just in case," Ray nodded.

When the clock struck three, Mewtwo made his way to café, Ray watching from the sky. Once inside, everyone turned to him. "Lord Mewtwo," Mewtwo just gave an acknowledging salute, walked up to the counter and sat down. Dave, the manager, came up, "Hey, Mewtwo, want the usual?" "No, I need something stronger than my normal tea." Dave gave him a strong lemon tea. "Thanks," "No problem, so tell me, what is going on that has made the legends so mad?" "Long story," "I'm all ears," Mewtwo told a short version. "Oh, I hope you find him," "So do I, when we find those who did it, not even Arceus' mercy, like she would give it, can save them from Kyogre's wrath." "She certainly cares about him." "Yes."

Mewtwo got the feeling he was being watched. He turned to see a person sitting in the corner booth with a hooded cloak on. He paid for his tea and walked over to the booth. "What be your purpose here?" "I'm waiting for someone." The voice was familiar and feminine, Mewtwo sat down. "First things first, I want to know who my informant is." "Now, don't be angry with me." She lowered her hood the woman was recognizable anywhere with her dark red-purplish hair, it was Jessie, from Team 0Rocket. Mewtwo's eyes lit up with fury. Team Rocket had a part in Ash's kidnapping, and this woman had the audacity to contact him. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't blast you into oblivion." He said low enough for her to hear, but with full venom. "I'm here to help you." "You earned yourself two minutes, start talking, and I might spare you." Jessie pulled up a world map on her PokeDex. "The base is here." She said pointing to a small island, located in between the five regions. "Defenses?" "Cloaking, easily taken down, and an anti-teleportation device, I don't know how to remove it, so you'll have to fly in. The villainous leaders are here," gesturing to a highlighted area of the top level of the base. "Where is Ash?" Pointing to the portion of the base that was underground, "Around here, I don't know for sure. I'm escorted there every day by a grunt, and the elevator is by keycard." Now, Mewtwo was curious. "What would you have to do with my nephew?" "I am his caretaker. He his your nephew?" "Forget I said it. Now, let me ask, what do you hope to gain from telling me this?" "I don't hope to get anything, but I want a chance at," "Redemption?" She just nodded. "That will depend on the answer to this, what would make you betray Giovanni and Team Rocket?" "An innocent life suffers, among other things. I never got to be the true me, I was inducted into team Rocket at a young age," she began to tear up, "Also, the condition Ash is in, it's horrible, he shouldn't have to suffer," "You ask for redemption for yourself, but not for James, why?" "He doesn't deserve it after what he did." "What did he do?" She leaned closer and whispered in his ear, "he raped me," Mewtwo's eyes flashed red and his hand formed a fist, unknowingly causing a cup to shatter. "That is a sin that is unforgivable, kidnapping Pokémon' we can look past, but not this, That alone earns a person a place in one of the lowest circles of the fiery abyss of eternal torment and suffering that await all who do evil, under the eye of Giratina himself ." "Ever since that happened, I've been wanting Lord Giratina to come and take him away." "You got my vote for redemption, but the decision lies with the council and Lady Arceus. Be with Ash tomorrow when we assault the base, we'll get you out of there." She just nodded, "You're a good person," with that he left.

When he got outside, he didn't see Rayquaza anywhere, but knew he was around there somewhere. He spotted the dragon's human form in the diner across the street, 'figured he'd be there,' ducking into the alley and changing into his human form before anyone threw a pokéball at him and went across the street, After using his powers to get in and sat down across from his friend. "I thought you going to wait for me." "Sorry, I got hungry," "I can see that," "So, what did you find out?" "Everything, except for what floor Ash is on," "We'll find out when we Assault the place tomorrow," "you'll never believe who my contact was," "Who?" "Jessie," Ray nearly choked on his food, "What?" Mewtwo told him everything. "Well that was interesting, you and I both know that Giratina will be all over this, and you're right, she does deserve redemption," "we better get back to the hall," and they teleported away.

"That is all I know," Mewtwo finished his report, "That is all we need." Arceus replied. "We leave at dawn. Also, the person asked for only one thing: a chance at redemption." "Who is this person?" Ho-oh asked. Knowing the firestorm that was about to be unleashed, he took a breath and said it, "Jessie." It was a massive uproar. "Quiet!" Arceus yelled, "Mewtwo is right, she does deserve redemption," "And why is that?" Cressila asked. "I watched over her, since a young age. She is a good person deep down, just never get to show it. She was inducted at a young age, after her mother died on the search for Mew." Arceus explained. "Oh, Giratina," "Yes?" "She would like you to drag James' soul to one of lowest circles of the Abyss." "Why?" Lugia asked, "Because he raped her." All the others blanched at that, Giratina got a wicked smile on his face, "Sure, I'd happy to."

That night, Rayquaza and Mewtwo crashed early for they would leave at dawn, and they had to fly in. they went to bed thinking, 'Tomorrow, Ash will be safe and justice will dealt to the villainous leaders.'

Well that was interesting, I expect that many of you didn't think it was Jessie who was the informant. Next time, the attack and rescue of Ash. Also you'll see how Ash found out that he was the son of two legends. I try to update faster but no promises. Please leave a review.
