The next day John went to Fitness Zone in Manhattan. It was Lexie's gym. He was working out. A trainer at the gym and Lexie's friend Katie went into Lexie's office. Lexie was sitting behind her desk.

"Lexie that really cute wrestler friend of yours is here." Katie said.

"Which one?" "When your brother-in-law is Randy Orton, you have lots of them."

"John Cena.."

"I think I'll go say hi." She said getting up.

She went out and found John lifting weights.

"Funny running into you here." She said.

"Hey." He said surprised.

"Hi."

"I would've come and said hi but I didn't think you'd be here today." "It being Saturday and all."

"I'm just doing some paperwork I'm behind on." "Well I'll let you get back to your work out." "I just wanted to say hi."

"I'm glad you did."

An hour later Lexie was back behind her desk. The door was open but John knocked on it anyway. She looked up from what she was doing.

"Hey." She said.

"Hey."

"Did you have a nice work out?"

"Great."

"Good."

"It's my last night here." "Can I interest you in dinner, as friends?" "Unless you already have plans."

"I'll call you when I leave here." "We'll make plans."

"Alright."

Later that night John picked Lexie up at her apartment in Manhattan. They went to a restaurant.

"Do you want to order some wine?" John asked.

"White." The waitress came up to the table and they ordered. "Separate checks please."

"You got it." The waitress said. She walked away.

"Why separate checks?" John asked.

"Well this isn't a date." Lexie said. "We're here as friends."

They were eating, talking and drinking.

"Do you think you'll ever get married again?" John asked.

"No definitely not." "I'd have to date for that to remotely be a possibility anyway." "My last relationship was two years ago." "I guess I just wasn't meant to be in love." "I don't need a man." "I'm perfectly happy with my kids."

"I don't think I was meant to be in love either."

"Well I don't know what happened with that but it's her loss." "You're a great guy."

"It's Ricky's loss to." "I don't know why anyone would not want to be with someone as beautiful and sweet as you."

"Aw thank you."

After dinner John walked Lexie to her door. They were standing outside of it.

"I had a good time tonight." Lexie said.

"Me to." "I would really love to kiss you." "I don't think I should though."

"I agree." "As much as I would really like that, I think we can both agree that doing that would be a mistake." "I mean I know where you stand in certain aspects of your life and that's ok." "It doesn't mean we can't be friends."

"Exactly." "Goodnight."

"Goodnight." She went inside. He left.
