Aerith gets out of the bed first and for a girl, that's supposed to be grieving, she certainly isn't acting that way.

There isn't any point in me staying here all day so I quickly get off the bed and follow her and the map turns green.

"My son"

"My boy"

I hear the voices of two people talking to me, but there isn't anyone here besides the girl and myself.

I look around but nothing is different right now the only different thing is the color of the map, for some reason its red now, rather than white or black and the circles themselves are blue or bright red.

As I walk out the door and begin to walk down the stairs, I notice Aerith eating some bananas that were left on the table, she briefly looks up and notices me before waving at me.

She grabs one of the bananas and brings it to me, I take it from her and begin to peel it.

"Look he is already altering your course"

"And denying your place"

Again I hear the voices, they sound as if they belong to a man and a woman who are talking to each other.

Screw it I'll deal with them when the time comes, right now, I need to find out where the hell I am.

"Do you want to go outside?" I ask Aerith, who immediately looks at me with bright eyes, her answer, however, to simply take my right hand and look at the direction of the front door.

We immediately walk outside and its no different from yesterday, a town built out of scrap metal and broken machines.

Aerith is starting to pull me towards a bunch of flowers nearby, how didn't I see them yesterday, still she is insisting we head in that direction and it's not like I have anything better to do so I allow her to lead me to them.

She immediately lets go of my hand and begins to dance on top of the flowers.

"Listen, there talking, the flowers are talking" Aerith says before she stops dancing and kneels in front of a bunch of yellow flowers.

"You're like a bunny you know that you jump around and then stop to hide behind a lot of grass," I say to her, but she doesn't answer, she just continues to look at the flowers.

"The girl's path is set, it can't be changed" I hear the woman say before the map returns to its original color.

"What going on?" ask but nothing answers back.

I look at Aerith as she looks at the flowers and there's no point in me looking at her all day, so I might as well do something useful, the floor beneath me is a mixture of broken.

No, not broken, loose pieces of metal and floor tiles, it looks like if the area where Aerith is playing in, is nothing more than an undeveloped lot.

The metal doesn't look too heavy so I pike up a pice and put it back in its place, luckily for me it's not heavy at all, so I might as well put the ones that are loose back in there place.

you know what, there are a bunch over there too and Aerith isn't far from where I'm at, so I might as well do those too.

There aren't a lot of people around and the few that are walking around aren't putting any attention to me or they get out of my way.

"That's the last one" Aerith says to me.

Waite wasn't she playing with the flowers? when did she? I began to ask myself but I stopped as a bag filled with clothes appeared in front of me.

I looked up and found a woman handing me the bag, with her was an older woman she was handing Aerith another bag.

"Thank you, kids, for fixing the floor for us, here take these old cloths. My kids already have grown up, so I don't need them anymore" the old woman that handed the bag to Aerith said to us.

She smiled at Aerith before turning around and picking up a brume and starting to sweet the street in front of what I assume is her house.

The bag the other woman gave me is heavy, thankfully I can use the map in front of me to get back to the house, unfortunately, the bag is heavier than I carry and I'm starting to get tired.

I turn to look at Aerith and she has already given up, there aren't a lot of people around and I can't see anyone so even if I use the power, it shouldn't cause a lot of problems.

"Aerith don't tell anyone about this," I say to her, and even before I say anything the map has already started to change.

"The world" the sound of the world around me vanishes and even Aerith isn't anywhere, her bag is in front of me but she isn't anywhere to be seen.

Her bag is starting to float but it's acting strange like if something was pulling it down.

Waite, could she be holding on to the bag?

The bag begins to glow and there she is floating slightly of the ground and holding on to the bag as if her life depended on it.

"Aerith you can let go I can carry it here" I say to her and she looks at me with wide eyes.

She immediately lets go of the bag and hugs me tightly

"Fatesend, you disappeared," she says to me but her voice sounds like if it's breaking.

"Don't disappear again, don't leave me alone again!" she says to me but her voice sounds like if she's crying.

"I'm not going anywhere kid, look nothing can hurt you here" I say to her but the girl just hugs me tighter and refuses to let go, normally there wouldn't be a problem, but the timmer is going down.

I don't have another choice, so I look at her and she begins to float in the air, I hope she isn't scared of heights.

Ting dong- ting dong- ting dong. The bell rings and we barely make it back to the house before the time runs out.

Two seconds, I made it back with two seconds left, I watch as the clock hits zero and whatever ability The World gives me vanish and both Aerith and the bags of cloths fall in front of me.

"Aerith remember don't tell anyone about what you just saw me do" I tell her before she tackles me o the floor.

"You're a hero, mommy was right she said to me that you can save me"

What am I supposed to say in this situation?

"You know when the neighbors said that the two of you were fixing the streets, I didn't believe them but both of you did such a good job you deserve a treat," the blond woman says to us as she looks at us both on the floor.

"So where did you get the bags?" she asks us.

"These two women gave them to us for fixing the street," I say to her, as I struggle to get Aerith off me.

"Alright, that settles that, now how about some banana bread" she says to us before opening the front door.

Didn't she say she had to work, it's not even that late.

No, she has two kids at home, not to mention that those two kids are strangers, so she probably asked for a day off.

She leans down to pick up the bags and I notice the logo on her clothes.

Shinra is the tag on her cloths, perhaps its both the logo and the tag at the same time.

"I work for Shinra, everyone here does and those that don't are either unemployed or work for someone that works for Shinra," she says to me the moment she notices that I'm looking at the logo.

"Would you like to cause a ripple and see what a single action can do?" I hear the man's voice say to me.

"Yes"

The woman looks at me with a confused expression before pointing at a nearby fan, next to it are a bunch of broken solar powered toys and a Shinra battery.

"See that, people still have a lot of the old technology so a lot of it ends up here, most of us separate what's good from what isn't."

"No one uses solar power anymore, so we break the parts down and the company pays us for whatever comes out," she says to me.

Again the map changes color, it's red again, the woman lets go of me but the parts are glowing red this time.

I walk up to the broken machine parts and I notice that they aren't broken, at least not visibly broken.

The fan's motor isn't broken, but it's not a fan, no its something else.

the woman keeps a lot of tools just lying around so I just let the ability do its thing, the solar panels aren't big, but I connect them to both the battery and the motor.

The fan starts to spin around and its slowly gaining speed, now I know this place is different, the fan is flying near me, and its blowing cold wind in my direction.

I read about these things in Warhammer 40k, they are drones, that follow people around on hot days, the solar panels charge the battery, so it never runs out of power and the battery does its job when the sun vanishes behind clouds.

"Can you make more of those?" the woman asks me.

I just look at her and give her a thumbs-up, the woman looks like if she wants to say something, however, Aerith walks up to me before the woman can say anything and sits in front of me.

"This is my spot," Aerith says to me as the wind blows on her face.
