Chapter 2: Stories around the fire.
The crescent moon had taken its place in the sky as two people where sitting by a campfire. It was the Rebellion group, Juan and Annelotte. "Lovely night, isn't it?" Annelotte said as she saw Juan looking at the moon.
"Yep." He said smiling. "I hope everyone is alright back home..." He said looking at moon with a frown.
"Family?" She asked him as Juan didn't reply for about 5 seconds.
"Yeah..." He answered, looking down at the fire. "Everyone I love is back at the home... And I'm hoping for the time I've been gone from home... I hope their all okay..." He said still thinking back when he left. Everyone he held dear was still there. "Naomi, Nyx, Melpha, Shizuka, and Irma..." He said their names, making Annelotte wonder why there were so many girls living with him. "I know Nanael is working, Tomoe is still in Hinomoto, but I'm still wondering where Leina, Risty, Melona and Echidna might be..."
"Wait, did you say Leina?" She asked him as he nodded. "You lived with Leina? The Wandering Warrior?" She asked him again.
"I married her." He said to the half-demon girl with her eyes widen in surprise. "I also married all the others too." He said getting a questionable look from Annelotte. It looked like something heavy just fell on her head as she needed to process all this in... There was only one question she needed to ask.
"Um... Juan...?" She got his attention. "Are you a pervert?" This... Caused the Rebel to hit the floor with a face fault. He got back up with some dirt on his face but wiped it off.
"Well... I don't blame you for asking that..." He gave a nervous chuckle with Annelotte still looking at him questioned. "But, the reason why I married all of them is because they needed a heart." He said to her as it started to make sense. "I've witnessed this place for some time, and there are hardly any good men..." He stated as he remembered something. "About when we entered Gainos for the first time, is where Nowa was about to be raped..."
"W-what?!" Annelotte looked serious at this. "Did you stop them?!"
"Thankfully I did before it was too late... Nowa is a good kid." He admitted, remembering how happy and cheery she could be. Always getting excited even over the smallest things, but that's what was so bright about her. "I hope she finds a good guy out there... Somewhere..."
"She's like a little sister to you?" Annelotte made him think.
"A little sister, and a daughter..." He smiled. "I could see her getting along with Sonata in a heart beat."
"Who's Sonata?"
"Mine and Nyx's daughter. We named her that from a song I used to listen." The Rebel had looked back at the moon, remembering the time she was born. "The song was called, Moonlight Sonata, and it was beautiful song."
"It does sound peaceful." She smiled at the Nephilim. "But, do you have anymore children?"
"Yes I do." He said to her. "But they all miss their mothers dearly. Risa, Maria, Medusa, and Lala." The Rebel frowned at this, still missing them. "I'm hoping their okay..."
"What happened to them?"
"It happened like this... about some years ago." He started telling what had happened in the past...
FLASHBACK
The day was normal at best, but sometimes there were different things. "Leina! Melona! Risty!" Naomi called their names. All three of them came down from the stairs, as Risty had a towel over her neck while only wearing a black bikini sweating. She was busy in the training room of the home. Leina was in a bath towel knowing she took a bath and Melona was naked but still had the white cloth covering her down part. Knowing her, she was sleeping somewhere. "You guys got letters."
"From who?" Melona asked as Naomi shrugged her shoulders. Everyone open their letters with Leina smiling at hers, Risty too but Melona frowned and whined. "Aww man! The Swamp Witch wants me to come back!" She complained. "She's making a revival of 2 people and wants me to watch over them..." The slime only sighed in disbelief, not wanting to go.
"Too bad." Leina felt sorry for her. "But, there's a village that calls for my help." Leina said showing them the letter.
"I got a letter from a group of other bandits saying they know where to get a lot of gold!" Risty sounded happy, getting looks from everyone. "Don't worry. Were not attacking some good guy. Says this guys is the biggest asshole in the continent and won't even spend a bronze or silver coin on ANYTHING!"
"But it's still wrong to steal." Melpha said to the bandit. "But you are the Benevolent Bandit of the wild."
"Damn right I am!" The amazon like woman cheered. They all were about to disembarked with a sad Juan looking at them, but he smiled at him. "Don't worry, Sugar." Risty said to her husband.
"She's right. We'll be back..." Leina said hugging Juan.
"I'll try hard so she can let me off more." Melona said with a smile, but Juan hugged her tightly. Risty saw the three of them hugging and felt left out, so she joined in too. They left the home after that...
FLASHBACK END
"And that's how it happened..." He said to them. "I pray everyday that they're okay..."
"And Echidna?" Annelotte asked him.
"She left not too long ago. About a month." Juan answered. "She said that there was a job she took, but Meda would miss her mother so much." He started speaking, still wondering what job it was. "She told me that she got intel from other mercenaries... Saying that she'll take the job."
"Do you think she's okay?" Annelotte asked him.
"No yeah, no doubt about it. When it comes to Echidna, she can totally handle herself." He smiled at this, causing Annelotte to smile aswell. "I'm happy. To have everyone with me, you know?" Annelotte nodded. "Some might think I'm the luckiest man in the world, but I just think I'm a regular guy."
"When does, "A regular guy" turn into either demon or angel?" She asked getting them to laugh at this. "But enough about that though. Why don't you tell me an adventure you had before?" She requested him as he nodded.
"I'll tell you a story that happened some time ago." He started.
The day was average as always, but for some people it wasn't. On this day though, a certain Nephilim was walking the roads with his hood up. It was Juan before his hoodie turned into a hooded coat, yet he still had that 5 o'clock shadow beard on his face to know he aged a bit. The Nephilim looked at the town in front of him. "So this is the Town, huh?" He asked himself. Juan kept on walking to the town, seeing lots of people. Thankfully he had his hood up so no could see his face.
Everyone looked at him, thinking he was a trouble maker. He didn't blame the towns people, since he carried the large sword on his back. Not to mention his clothing also looked like a trouble maker, but he didn't care. "EVERYONE! BEHOLD!" He heard a very familiar voice in his ears. The Rebel looked to his right, seeing a short but very loud person he knew. "WITH EVERY WEAPON YOU BUY! YOU BECOME EVEN MORE STRONGER! THE STRONGER YOU BECOME, THE MORE YOU CAN DEFEND YOURSELF!" This was none other than the Steel Princess, Ymir. Dressed in her usual get up as always.
"I'll take one!" One man said holding up some gold coins.
"Give me two!" It was then that everyone bought Ymir's weaponry as she made good business.
Ymir looked at the money she got from her customers, having a giggle of happiness. "Another day-"
"Another dollar?" She was interrupted by someone. She looked to her left to see a good friend of hers. "Hey Ymir! Long time no see!"
"Well, well, well, if it ain't the First King of Gainos himself." She said with Juan thanking that no one was around to hear that. "How's everything going Juan?" She asked sitting on a box she stood up on.
"Life's great. How about you?" He asked the dwarf.
"Same here. I heard you got married."
"Yeah I did. I also have a daughter too." He admitted with the Princess smiling at him. Yet that smile turned into a grin.
"You're one lucky bastard! Having all those big boobs surrounded by you!" She yelled out with some people looking as the Rebel who blushed in embarrassment.
"S-shut up! We're in public!" He scolded her as she laughed. Juan couldn't believe that he was getting insulted from a girl that's older than him but looks like a 7 year old. "Anyway, I'm headed to the Tavern for a bite. Wanna join?"
"Sure! And you know what?" She asked getting off the box. "I'll buy! My treat today!" He nodded. The two friends walked to the tavern, getting the highest level in the Tavern. This was a tavern of three levels. Everyone was talking, eating, music was playing and having a good time. The two sat at their table, waiting for a waitress to come. "Place sure is big."
"Well from your height it is." He joked with the dwarf getting angry at him.
"Are you making fun of me?" She had a mean glare at him.
"Sorry. Couldn't help it." The Rebel placed his feet on the table, kicking back and relaxing. It wasn't until a waitress arrived at their table.
"What would you two like to drink?" She asked them.
"We'll have the same orders." Ymir stated. "The normal food. Cooked meat, bread, potatoes. And some juice please?"
"Oh my! Aren't you Ymir?" She asked with the Steel Princess nodding. "Well ma'am! You're order will come in at no time!" This made Ymir glad, because she just wanted to eat and go. The waitress was about to leave but looked at the hooded man with his feet on the table, looking at him with a puzzled look. "You..."
"Can I help you?" He asked normally, not rude. It was then the Waitress then got a wide smile on her face.
"You're Juan! The Renegade Swordsmen!" She shouted out loud with everyone looking at the table Juan sat at... "Oh my God! This is amazing!" The waitress stated loudly. "The King of Gainos is at OUR tavern!"
"Uh, Miss?" He stood up from the table. "I think you got me confused with someone else."
"Nope! I'm positive it's you!" She took down his hood to see his face. "Yep! No doubt!" This would take about some time. Everyone in the tavern ran up to the Renegade Swordsman, only having in a panick. He needed to think of something...
Couple minutes later
"Holy crap... That was a close one..." He said flatly. After about so many people running towards the Rebel, be it a man or a woman, it felt like he knew what the celebrity life was like now. Thankfully he lied and said he just looked like himself, with everyone believing it. "Man... This blows..." He said complained.
"Oh come on! It's not that bad." Ymir tried to cheer him up, but knew it wasn't working. "Think about it, everyone likes you."
"Everyone may like me... But It's still a bother. I'm in hiding because of that..." He said with Ymir thinking back... It was then she had a sweatdropped with her head looking at the ground.
"You... Got a point..." She stated flatly. It was time when their food finally arrived, making the two feel like they were blessed. The two began eating their plates of food as it was delicious food! Conversations were still being talked, but he couldn't help but listen to a group of 3 girls having a party of their own.
"Man! That hit the spot!" One of them said as she chugged down a mug of alcohol.
"Hey!" One of them called the waitress. "Bring more ale and meat!" The one in a green outfit said to her. The group were just like ordinary girls, but something went down.
"Seriously, God is so lame!" One of them said as Juan kept on listening. He respected if someone was a different religion, but at least have the respect of religion of that one person. "He never does anything!" The one with dark skin said to her friends.
"Yep! We even tried that praying crap." The red head stated. "You know what? Worshipping Satan might not be a bad idea, especially if it makes me stronger!"
"ENOUGH!" This was bad. Juan and Ymir looked to see a woman standing there near the group of three. She was so beautiful at that too, with her hair a dirty blond like color. "I will not tolerate such blasphemy!" She stated to them, with Juan grabbing his sword just in case.
A mug dropped from the groups table. "YOU TRYING TO PICK A FIGHT?!" She asked the nun, standing up from her chair. "Can't you see were enjoying our drinks?"
"How are you gonna make up for that?!" The one with the red hair asked.
"Cease this immediately!" She told them, holding her weapon. It was that of bronze rob, looking like a cross. "Otherwise you'll be tagged as heretics and be judged guilty!" The nun was getting angry, and Juan could see it. "All heretics will be burned at the stake!"
"Check it out... She thinks she's an inquisitor or something." The red head stated.
"Wow really? What a joke..." The one in the green dress said with a grin on her face. "You can tell she's still in training!" They began to laugh at the Nun for she had a light blush on her cheeks, but shrugged it off.
"Silence! You're going to regret it!" She threatened the two, making them confused. "Holy Pose..." Those two words made Juan's eyes become wide... Those two words were ones that only Nanael and Melpha knew. He thought the Holy Poses were only found at the Church, but it seems he was wrong. As she was about to use the pose, the Nun tumbled on the steps! "W-wait! What's going on?" She asked, with her rump stuck between the railing of the stairs.
The trio of drunkards had only gotten angrier. "Now I'm pissed!" The dark skinned one yelled drawing out her sword. She was about to charge in at the Nun but something got in the way... In front of her was a sword... That went straight into the wall! She looked to her left to see a man with his arm in a postion that he threw his blade. He walked over to his sword, grabbing it with one hand and pulling it out like no problem...
"Whoa..." The red head was amazed, seeing him carry his massive sword with just one hand. "Wait a sec... He looks..."
"What are you doing?" He interrupted as he had a serious look in his eyes. "You should respect the Sister... Not harm her..." He stated, placing his sword on his back as it remained there.
"W-wait a second! I remember him!" The green dress girl panicked. "Those eyes... The sword... The clothes... He's... Juan the Renegade Swordsman!"
"THE KING OF GAINOS?!" The dark skinned girl asked in shock.
"Juan! You're making even more of a ruckus!" Ymir walked to the Rebel eating a piece of bread.
"No way!" Everyone in Tavern heard.
"I knew it was him!" The Waitress stated. "And Ymir the Steel Princess too!"
"I heard their really strong..." A man in the back said.
"But... Ymir... She's so small..." Another woman said looking at the dwarf.
"And flat..."
"ALRIGHT, WHO SAID THAT?!" She hissed at the people. Everyone was still silent at this moment, seeing two fighters right in front of them. But for Ymir she only got an idea from these three. "By the way, who said about getting stronger?" She asked the group, taking out a large bag filled with weapons. "In that case, the fastest way is too buy my weapons from Steel Mountain!" Juan only sighed in disbelief. Knowing Ymir, she'd sell her weapons to ANYONE just to make some gold... "Quite the beauties, eh? Buy one now and you get one free!" She picked up a handful of weapons in her right hand, having the group of three afraid.
"PLEASE EXCUSE US!" The one in the green dress said to her. "WE'RE SORRY!" She said to the Rebel as she ran down stairs.
"SORRY!" The darkskinned girl ran down with her friend. The red head ran with them, running out of the tavern. Juan walked to the Nun as she looked at him. He was smiling at her.
"You okay?" He asked the Nun, giving her his hand. The woman accepted as he pulled her out so she wasn't stuck anymore. "Come on. Sit with us." He said to the woman as he walked back to his table.
"Thank you for saving me." The nun said to the Rebel as she pulled up a seat next at the table. Ymir sat back down, eating her food again. "I'm Sigui of the 19th Holy Order." She introduced herself politely as lady. "It must be God's plan that we meet like this."
"Amen to that." He said holding up a cup of juice then drinking it.
"But you're certainly one rash Sister." Ymir said, looking at her weapons with her keen eye. "It's not a good idea to get in trouble with an unruly lot."
"She's right you know?" Juan agreed with the Steel Princess. "You could've of avoided that kind of thing." He suggested with Sigui only having a serious look.
"But it is my duty to rid those who speak ill of God." She stated with Juan only sighing. He knew what kind of type she was, but he had to keep it to himself.
"Anyway, you were planning on using the Holy Poses, right?" He asked her as she nodded. "Thought so..."
"You know about them?" She asked with him nodding in response. "Sorry. It's a foolish question no doubt, since you're a Nephilim." Sigui apologized with Juan only smiling at her, knowing it was alright. "But even with God's help, I couldn't do a thing." The nun looked at the table, not looking at either of them. "I've hated heretics all my life... I wish they would all die in a fire..."
"And I wish my middle school principle would too..." He joked remembering when he and Naomi were still in America. "But listen Sigui..." He got the Nun's attention. "Sometimes, we need to believe in ourselves, or the people we care about believe in us and we believe in them."
"Are you sure about that?" She asked him as the Rebel nodded at her.
"Yeah. I believe in you." He said to the Nun as she felt happy that the First King of Gainos believed in her.
"Thank you, Juan." Sigui said to him. "But, I must do my duty." Sigui stated to him. "I must not let the seeds of heresy take root. To overlook them is to betray God's trust."
Juan only smirked at her. "You're a protector..." He said with Sigui nodding at this.
Sigui was about to speak. "The protector-"
"Must rise to confront destiny head on." He looked at the Nun with her smiling. "I've read books of many kind."
"Are you a protector aswell, Juan?" Sigui asked him.
"No, I'm a hunter." He admitted with Sigui frowning at this. With Ymir feeling like this conversation got off track somehow. "Speaking of that, there's one thing that has been in my mind that I can't figure out..." He leaned back to relax.
"What is it? Tell me." She requested him.
"Well... "When the Hunter and the Protector meet, the mystery will be given and solved." - Clause 9; Guidepost for the Hunters." He stated with Sigui being confused. What could that mean? "But anyway, I'm just glad I got to meet you."
"Oh yes! It is indeed a very amazing encounter!" Sigui smiled at him. "I did not expect that you, The Renegade Swordsman would be here."
"Maybe you were right. Maybe it is God's plan that we meet." He chuckled at her.
"Hey Juan?" Ymir got his attention. "You never told me, but what're you doing here in the first place?" She asked him as Juan pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket. "A letter?"
"A letter from Heaven." He told them as he opened the letter, showing them what it said. However, the words were strange like it was a different language."Turns out, there's a demon here that took a shape of a human woman... Not far too..."
"Where is it?" Sigui asked the Nephilim.
"The letter said that it would be in the mountain forest outside of town." He told the two. "I took the job in a heartbeat... I can't let anyone get hurt..."
"I'll join you!" Sigui stood up. "It also my solumn duty to banish all evil from this world!"
"Thank you Sigui."
"Oh brother..." Ymir, thinking that this was pretty stupid. Thankfully, she could separate and head off to her destination.
The morning rose up from the east, as Ymir smiled at it. "In this time, I can reach Gainos in no time!" She grinned. The Steel Princess turned around but saw two people standing there, facing the sun aswell... "Really?"
"Oh, good morning." Sigui stood there with Juan just smiling at the Princess. All three of them walked along the same path, were it felt like an adventure.
"So you're off to Gainos too?" Ymir asked as Sigui nodded.
"I've been ordered by the Holy See to pray at the cathedral."
"That's good." Juan said to her. "There gonna need someone there, since me and Melpha got married." Sigui only looked at the Nephilim with her eyes widen.
"Y-you MARRIED Master Melpha?!" Sigui asked him as he nodded. This was surprise to her. "I did hear that... The King married many including a Holy Priestess and an Angel... But I thought it wasn't true." Sigui still surprised by this. "B-but, what about you Miss Ymir?" She asked her.
"Business!" Ymir said in no hesitation. "I plan on selling the finest weapons to Claudette."
"Splendid!" The Nun complemented. "Queen Claudette is an esteemed figure who favors the church and has given greater authority to it." Juan could tell that Sigui was happy to hear what Ymir said. "These amazing weapons shall be used to hack demon worshippers or users into bloody chuncks!"
"Hey... I'm cursed with demon energy remember?" Juan said to the Nun, as she gave a nervous chuckle. "Don't hack me to pieces, okay?"
"Never!" Sigui said to him. "We know of your cursed powers, but you are still Nephilim! And son of the Demon Hunter Micheal and the Great Angel Anna!" The Nun stabbed the ground with her weapon and grabbed both Nephilim's hands. "Killing an Angel or Nephilim is strictly unholy!"
"R-right..." The Rebel blushed, as Sigui was near him. She was so beautiful... Just that smile on her face almost made him have a nosebleed.
Yet, the three started to hear voices of a crowd of people. They look to see many people surrounding someone... They ran up to them as a woman held a boy in her arms, knowing it was a mother. "Coms! Coms!" She held her child as he didn't look good.
"What happened?" Sigui asked a man. He turned around to face the group.
"This child is ill... It's very serious..." He answered her questioned. They came close to the child, as they couldn't bear to see him in pain. A man looked at the group, placing a hand on his mouth so the mother wouldn't hear him as he whispered.
"Someone left to town a while ago, but it looks like he won't make it..." He told them. Ymir looked at the Nephilim.
"Juan," She got his attention. "You're a Nephilim right? There has to be some healing spell or something you know."
"I've been training with my Aunt, but we haven't gotten to that yet..." He said to her as he looked at the Nun next to him. "Sigui, I know there's a Holy Pose for healing... Can you do it?"
"Yes." Sigui answered him. "Just leave it to me..." She walked forward to the mother, having her question who Sigui was. "Don't worry. You're son will be fresh as rain soon." She said with a confident smile, having Juan and Ymir cross their fingers. Sigui's back was facing the mother and her child, as Sigui leaned forward. Next thing she did was lift her skirt, as Juan only had a small nosebleed from this. Next thing that happened was she placed her staff between her buttocks... "Holy Pose." She started. "Healing." Next thing that happened was Sigui started to move her buttocks up and down that staff, as Juan then had a massive nosebleed! Everyone was confused by this, but Sigui kept on going, as the next thing that happened, the staff began to surge with holy energy! "Lord! Please save this young boy!" She prayed as the Holy Pose began to work, as Juan and Ymir looked at this.
The young boy began to open his eyes, looking at his mother. "Mother?" He looked at her with a smile.
"Coms!" The mother held her son tightly, never letting him go. "Thank you so much, Sister!" The mother said to the Nun.
"Thank goodness." She looked at the sky. "God's power is so wonderful!" She commented.
Ymir only sighed. "Oh please..." She whispered silently so Sigui couldn't hear her. "God's power is nothing compared to..." The Steel Princess looked at the men. "Your ass." All the men were given nosebleeds, as Juan was a victim himself. They continued down the path to Gainos, with Juan now having tissues up nose. "Wow... You think since living with all those girls with giant boobs, you'd be used to stuff like that."
"Shut up..." Juan said to the dwarf. "Anyway, Sigui. Last night you couldn't use you're holy pose, but you just did now."
"Yes, because I kept calm." She admitted. Ymir couldn't blame her if she couldn't do it with a sword being pointed at her. "Power is needed aswell to punish heretics. In order to do so, I've learned some martial arts..."
"Quite impressive!" Ymir commented. The group kept on walking towards their destination, where a forest was. Yet something about these woods gave them a bad vibe. Just the air made them cautious. "Hey Juan?"
"What's up?"
"Is this the forest you were talking about?" Ymir asked as Juan nodded. "Thought so..." They all entered the forest together, knowing this place isn't a fun house for anyone. "From what I heard, this forest is kinda dangerous..."
"Don't be dispirited, Miss Ymir." Sigui tried to hold her spirits up. "God is always with us."
"Even if God is with us, snakes will still appear!" She said to the nun as she became a little paranoid. "Anyway, let's stay close, please?"
"Don't worry. After we find that demon, it will possibly be morning." Juan said relaxed as always. "But Sigui, you seem to be enjoying yourself."
"Why of course!" Sigui said to the Nephilim. "With this torch, I can burn those demons or heretics!" Juan only sighed as that was possibly the only thing on her mind. They kept on walking through the forest as everything was good and clear.
"HELP!" They heard an old mans voice.
Ymir only became more paranoid but tried to remain calm. "From what I heard, mountain bandits have been appearing here lately..." She informed them. "Someone must've gotten attacked."
"How unforgivable!" Sigui stated, thinking this. "To attack an innocent person... Juan! Ymir! Let's go!"
"No way!" Ymir said to her. "I don't want to get involved." She said looking away, but then the whole place got dimmer... She looked to see Sigui and Juan running in the same direction where the shout came from. "Hey! Don't take the torch with you!" She yelled at the two. Ymir examined her surroundings, hearing many things as she became paranoid as ever. She had no choice but to follow the two, not wanting snakes to come by.
Bandits surrounded an old man. Knowing he wasn't capable of fighting any of them at all. "P-please! Don't kill me!" He begged them.
"Then drop you're possessions and get lost!"
"Or should I cut you in half?" One of the bandits held a sword and licked the blade. However, three loud bangs were heard as it startled the bandits. "What the hell?!"
"HEY!" There they saw Juan holding a gun up in the air with Sigui by his side.
"Who the hell are you?!" One of the bandits asked him.
"The guy that's gonna kick your asses!" He threatened.
"A servant of God!" Sigui told them. "To ganged up on a frailed old man is unforgivable!" Ymir had finally caught up to the two, counting how many bandits were there.
"Hey guys!" Ymir said as she opened her bag, showing the weapons she had in it. "Look guys, you want to be great bandits right?" Ymir asked them a question. "Well, with Steel Mountain weaponry, you can be the best bandits ever!" Juan only facepalmed in annoyance... Did she really need to get every chance she had to sell her weapons? "So what do you say?"
"KILL HER FIRST!" One of them announced with Ymir sighing.
"Geez... They didn't give me a time to tell the good part..." She said completely annoyed, seeing many of the bandits charging at them. "Guess I'm gonna have to give em' a taste of my Steel Mountain weapons!" The Steel Princess smirked, knowing who was going to win.
"Sigui... Get ready..." He told her as she placed the torch into an open hole of a tree. The Nephilim jumped in the air with guns in hand, firing them at the bandits blades. Each and everyone of their weapons were shattered or broke in half. Causing them to freak out, with the Rebel landing behind them. They looked at his back in fear, not knowing what kind of capabilities he had.
Sigui charged for at a bandit with her staff, but the bandit saw this coming as he slashed down at her staff! The one swipe broke the staff, causing the Nun to be in serious trouble! "Sigui! Use this!" Ymir tossed her a staff that looked identical to the other, but more stronger. Sigui grabbed the staff as she blocked an incoming attack from a bandit, as his sword broke. This made the nun smirk at the irony as she kicked hard right in the face.
"Nice kick." Juan said as sliced off the other bandits blades. "Come on! Is that all you got?" He questioned them as they looked pale.
"You bandits are way too weak!" Ymir said as she stood near her bag. Surrounding her though, were a pile of bandits that were knocked out. "So, want to buy some?" She gave them a choice as the bandits hesitated at first. Yet the bandits gave in. "Keep on going guys! Business is awesome!" Ymir cheered on the two as they kept on fighting.
Juan punched a bandit right in his face, with Sigui kicking him in the gut. The Rebel had then pointed two guns right at a group of them still using their old weapons but broke them. The two smirked as they were all completely defenseless. With Ymir however, all the bandits held up gold and silver coins.
"Alright! Everyone line up!" She yelled having everything looking a like a shop now. Business was booming for the Princess as she had the old man help her with giving them the items.
Sigui had destroyed another sword, but another bandit came in! His sword was completely new too. Sigui blocked his attack, yet the bandit had a blood lust smile on his face. "It's not the same!" He said while breaking the staff! "Nice expression on your face!" The staff was spilt in two, as he swung down still to make connection at Sigui's body!
"SIGUI!" Juan looked at the nun as he threw a bandit into many others. The Rebel jumped in the air with leg out, diving right at the bandit! He made connection with the man flying back, and Juan checking up on the Sister. "Sigui! Are you okay?!" He asked her then blushed brightly, seeing her bare breast revealed! She was okay, but her shirt wasn't...
"Boss! We're sorry!" The two heard a voice, looking where it came from. The two saw two sword swipes, seeing two bandits go down in death... Juan felt an uneasy feeling going on in his body right now... Out of the shadows appeared a woman, having silver hair with red eyes. She dressed in a red tank top and black skirt. On her feet were red high heels and stockings.
"All of you are pathetic..." She said to the other bandits. Her sword was stained in fresh blood... Something that made them feel uneasy. "You can't handle one sister and one bounty hunter..." She put them down.
"I ain't no bounty hunter..." Juan stated as he pointer his sword at her. "You're their leader, huh?"
"Sadly yes." She admitted to them with a sigh in disappointment.
Sigui stepped up bravely, being by Juan's side. "Pray to God. He'll forgive a person such as yourself." The Nun pointed one of the pieces of the broken staff at the leader. "Please, turn over a new leaf and serve God."
"Don't look down on me..." The Leader said with a smile.
"I'm not looking down at you..." Juan said as he began walking forward to her. "I thought I sensed something off about you... And that there's something inside your body..." The Leader had her eyes widen for a moment but tried to remain calm. "You can stop hiding... Come out and show yourself you demon bastard..."
"W-what are you talking about?!" The Leader questioned him.
"Sigui..." He had gotten the Nun's attention. "I'm going to buy you some time. In the meanwhile, use one of your Holy Poses."
"Got it!" The Nun agreed to the plan. The Nephilim kept on facing the Leader, as she smirked at him.
"Get out of her body." Juan ordered pulling out his gun with his left hand. "That woman bears no sins... Now get out!"
"I don't know what you're talking about!" She charged in at the Nephilim but he started shooting at her. He entirely missed her, not wanting to hurt the woman's body. She charged at the Nephilim who grabbed her by the wrist and punched her right in the abdomen. He pushed her away as she felt great pain now. "Damn you..." She pointed her sword upwards to the sky as flames were being lit on the upper part of the valley. There were many of them surrounding the group, but Juan only smirked. The Rebel had jumped up into the sky as he fired at the bandits with the bows. He only pierced their hands as they bled.
He landed right on the spot as the Leader only began to panick at what just happened. "Ready to give up?" He asked.
"No way!" The Leader charged in at the Rebel.
"Sigui! NOW!" He jumped to dodge a swipe of her sword, as Sigui was right in front of the bandit. She lifted up her skirt, showing her white thong like underwear.
"Holy Pose. Worship." Sigui began to have holy energy shining from her body, as everyone started to bow down. The Bandit Leader was pushed back from the Holy energy with Ymir and Juan looking at this. However, the Bandit Leader had gotten up from the ground with her sword in her hands.
Juan jumped right in front of the Nun, having nothing in his hands to defend himself. "I won't let you defeat me!" She shouted at him. The Leader was about to pierce the Nephilim as the only thing he did was open up his arm, but they did not expect something. The Nephilim hugged the Leader as a light surrounded the both of them... Juan used his abilities as he transformed into his Angel Trigger.
The Leader began feeling something coming out of her back, a black aura with red eyes! The aura took the form of a demon, with Juan shooting it with many bullets. It's blood was splattered on the ground and made into a puddles, dying on the spot. The Leader had then started crying... "You're free." Juan said to her. The Bandit Leader's body started to become orbs of light as The Nephilim made his wings cover the both of them, with the Leader only smiling.
"Thank you... I can finally be at peace..." She said with her body turning into nothing but a bright orb in the Rebels hands. Juan transformed back into his normal form as he saw the orb in hands now. That orb had then become a bird, flying into the sky. "Thank you... Thank you so much!" They heard the woman's voice from the bird. "I'm free!" The bird disappeared as Juan smiled at what happened... But that smile became an angry look as he stared down at the other bandits.
"I ain't doing the same thing for you..." He said as Juan started walking away...
"BASTARD!" One of them said as all the bandits started changing... "We don't know what you did... BUT YOU WILL DIE!"
"Of course... All of you gave your souls up..." He said gripping his sword. The Rebel smirked at what was happening right about now. "Sigui..."
"Yes..." The Nun stood by his side... This would be over in an instant...
The next morning finally shined on the group. Sigui had a piece of white cloth covering her breast, and Juan had parts of his hoodie dirty or shredded. "Finally! We made it!" Ymir said finally seeing the Capital.
"So this is Gainos!" The Nun smiled at the beautiful sight of the place.
"I guess this is where I leave..." Juan started walking away from the two. The Nun however grabbed the Rebel sleeve as he became confused. "What's up?"
"Thank you!" Sigui said to the Nephilim. "I'm glad we have gotten to meet each other, Juan."
"Yeah." He said to the Nun, offering her his hand. Both of them shook, smiling at each other. "See you later..."
Present
"And that's what happened." Juan said with Annelotte amazed at the story.
"This Sigui person... She sounds strong." The knight said thinking of what she was like now.
"Tell me about it..." The Nephilim said as he looked at the fire. That one single fire reminded of that night when Sigui burned them all. "Purifying someone by flame... Weird way to make someone pure..." He stated with Annelotte nodded. The two remained silent for a while...
"Hey Juan?"
"What's up?"
"You hunt, Demons..."
"Yeah..." He answered his question. "My father's family were Demon Hunters... Then I was next in line." He smirked when remembering the time when he figured this out. Not too long ago at that. "We're a like, you know?"
"Really?" Annelotte looked at the Nephilim who kept on looking at the fire.
"Yes." He answered. "We both lost our parents... We both want to make peace, and we both want everyone to be happy..."
"You witnessed you're parent's deaths aswell?" She asked him with Juan having his smile turn into a frown... She could tell that it was yes from him... "I see..." She didn't look at him anymore but the fire instead... "I'm a devil..." She started talking with the Rebel looking at her. "My mother and father were killed by a devil..." Was she... Crying? "It makes me worry that I might hurt someone too... Because..." The Knight only had tears coming down her eyes, with Juan looking at her with sadness... "I'm a devil! I'm a devil and you know it!"
"No..." The Rebel got close to the Princess as he grabbed her hand gently. They were soft to the touch. She looked at him with tears in her eyes that streamed down her cheeks. The Rebel only wiped the tears off as she was confused. "...Devils never cry, Annelotte..." He told her, making her question this. "Tears are a gift only humans have. In my eyes, you're not a Devil, you're a human..."
"Juan..." She smiled at this as she hugged him. The Rebel embraced her... "Thank you..."
"You're welcome..." He said to her as they stopped hugging. "Now, let's get some sleep."
"Right." The two slept separately. Juan slept on one side by the fire, not having a sleeping bag or anything. Annelotte on the other hand slept on the other side of the camp fire, seeing the Rebel sleeping peacefully. "See you in the morning." She said with a smile before resting. This journey would be one long adventure for the both of them...
