Crona's Confession

It was another typical day at the DWMA, where Crona Gorgon was hiding behind a support beam, looking over at Death the Kid talking to the Thompson Sisters, elder Liz, and younger Patty. More specifically Crona was looking at Liz Thompson, who he had a very large crush on. Crona was in the middle of making mental notes on Liz's appearance today, before feeling a hand on his shoulder, causing him to jump. Before he screamed, a hand clamped over his mouth and turned him around, revealing Soul Eater Evans.

"Shhhhhh…Liz will hear you," Soul whispered, before taking his hand off of Crona's mouth.

"That was really gross Soul. I mean, I don't even know if you washed your hands or anything. And you interrupted me," Crona whispered back.

"Yeah, I interrupted your daily stalking of Liz," Soul replied with an eye roll and a smirk on his face, causing Crona to blush.

"I'm not stalking her. I'm just…observing her," Crona whispered back.

"Because that's totally different. Anyway, if you like her so much, why don't you just ask her out?" Soul asked, which Crona responded to with a vigorous shake of the head.

"No, no, no, no. She'll never agree to it, and I don't think I can handle rejection," Crona explained, looking down on the floor with a blush on his face, not noticing that Liz, Patty, and Kid were heading towards him.

"Well, you'll never know if you don't ask her," Soul replied, pointing behind Crona. When he turned around, he was face to face with Liz, causing Crona to jump up, hitting his back lightly onto the support beam.

"You wanted to ask me something Crona?" Liz asked, with Death and Patty looking at Crona with a vested interest. Crona was about to turn around and make a run for it, but Soul was standing behind him with a smirk still on his face and his arms crossed over his chest, clearly not planning on letting Crona leave. Crona decided to turn back to Liz and take several deep breaths before he responded to her.

"Liz…I…I really…re…really l…l…lik…like you. And…I…I…wanted to…ask…if…if…you wanted to…go out…on…on a date…with…with me," Crona stuttered out with his face as red as a tomato and his eyes completely focused on the ground. Soul gave him a reassuring pat on the back while Liz looked at Crona with a look that he couldn't identify, which made him even more nervous. Crona was about to apologize and leave before Liz put a hand on his shoulder.

"This was an unexpected turn of events, but sure. I will go out with you, it could be a lot of fun," Liz said with a smile on her face. Crona looked at Liz's smiling face with surprise and awe, before his mouth turned to a smile of his own.

"Oh…wow! Really!?" Crona asked, still not entirely sure if what he was hearing was true.

"Yes, really, I'll go on a date with you," Liz restated, causing Patty to coo and Kid to nod at Crona, who was still blushing and flustered from happiness and excitement. "I know an old coffee shop me and Patty used to work at, and we can go there 5 O'clock on Friday," Liz offered, which Crona responded to with lightning speed nods.

"Yes! I…I'd love to!" Crona exclaimed, as Liz chucked before she took a piece of paper and a pen out of her jeans pocket and wrote on it before handing it to Crona.

"Alrighty then. Here's my phone number, and I'll talk to you later," Liz said before she, Patty, and Kid walked down the hallway. Soul looked at Crona, who was still frozen in excitement, and gave him another pat on the back.

"See? I told you that you had nothing to worry about," Soul said with a sense of victory in his voice. However, as soon as Soul finished talking, Crona fainted, falling face first onto the tiled floor.

"Oh crap! Are you alright Crona!?" Soul asked before he picked Crona up and walked him to the infirmary.
