Thanksgiving was next week. John was coming to town for a date with Lexie. She was planning on breaking things off with him tonight. She normally looked forward to a date not with John but tonight she was completely dreading it. She and Katie went out to lunch. Lexie had barely ate anything.

"Lexie are you alright?" Katie asked.

"No I'm not." She said depressed.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Come on, tell me."

"I have to do something I really, really don't want to tonight."

"What?"

"I have to break with my, well my boyfriend I guess."

"The guy that sent you the birthday present?"

"Yeah."

"How long have you been seeing each other?"

"Seven months."

"What?! She said shocked.

"We never intended to start a relationship." "If that had been the original intention I never would have started it."

"What was the original intention?"

"Friendship." "It started off that way then slowly it evolved." "At first we just talked, sex wasn't even part of it for the first three months."

"What's his name?"

"John."

"John what?"

"Cena."

"You're dating John Cena?"

"Not after tonight."

"What's the problem?"

"He hasn't spent any time with the kids." "He doesn't want kids." "He never has."

"That is problematic."

"Yeah." "So we have to break up."

Later that night Lexie and John met at the restaurant.

"Hi." He said.

"Hi." They hugged and kissed.

They were eating. Lexie knew she couldn't put it off anymore.

"John, we have to talk." She got a sad look on her face.

"What is it Lexie?"

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry but I can't see you anymore."

"I'd ask why but I know." "Max and Marybeth."

"Yeah." "I think we can agree that even though we never meant for it to get here, we're in a relationship."

"Agreed."

"I know how you feel about wanting kids and I a hundred percent respect it." "However, I do have kids and they are part of the package of me being with someone." "Since you don't want kids, we can't be together."

"I completely understand."

"This is very hard for me." "If it were just me we'd have no issues but it isn't." "I hope you're not angry."

"Not angry." He said sadly. "I'm really sad." "I'll really miss you Lexie."

"I'll miss you to John." "I wish things could be different."

"Me to." "I sincerely hope you find a man who can give you, Max and Marybeth everything you deserve."

"I'm gonna go now."

"Ok bye."

"Bye." She went out and got in her car. After a few seconds she broke into tears. John just sat at the table. He was absolutely heartbroken, even though he knew it was for the best.
