John woke up first the next morning. He looked at Lexie who was still asleep. He couldn't resist the urge to kiss. He kissed her. About ten seconds later she started kissing him back. He got on top of her.
"Good morning." He said in between kisses.
"Good morning."
He looked down at her. "I'm miserable without you."
"I know the feeling."
"Please let me come back."
"John, as much as I miss you and as I love you, we still have our issue." "It's not like it's a little issue, it's big."
"I know." "In two weeks I'm supposed to go home for a day." "What if instead, I come to your house and spend time with you and the kids?"
"Are you sure you want to?"
"Yes." "I want to get to know the kids.
"You do?" She said smiling.
"Yes."
"Let me talk to them about it first." "I just don't want to spring on them." "Hey guys mommy's boyfriend's coming over." He smiled. "What?"
"You called me your boyfriend."
"I'll call you tonight and let you know how it goes."
"Ok."
After they got up and dressed Lexie walked John to the door. They kissed.
"I love you." John said.
"I love you too." "Bye."
"Bye." He left.
Later that night Lexie, Max and Marybeth had just finished dinner and went into the living room.
"Guys, come sit on the couch with mommy." Lexie said. "We need to talk about something." They all sat down. "Guys, mommy has a boyfriend."
"You do?" Marybeth said.
"Yes."
"Who?" Max asked.
"Well you don't know him very well but you both know John Cena."
"Yeah I remember him." Max said.
"Me to." Marybeth said.
"He wants to come here in two weeks and spend time with all of us." "He wants to get to know you guys." "Would you be ok with that?"
"It's fine." Marybeth said.
"Yeah he can come over." Max said.
"Good."
After she put the kids to bed Lexie and John were talking on the phone.
"What did the kids say?" John asked.
"They said you can come over."
"Good." "Were they surprised?"
"Yeah." "You know, I have to tell Kim about us now."
"I know."
"I kind of told her already but I didn't say who you were."
"I'm a little scared." "I know she's gonna put me through the ringer."
"I'll talk to her."
"I have to go but I'm excited."
"Me to." "I love you."
"I love you too." "Bye."
"Bye." They hung up. Lexie was excited about John spending time with the kids but she was also very nervous about it.
