Chapter 24: The Pirates life is free!
When you're on a way to get something back, believe everyone that it will be hell, no matter how big or small. And this was going to be a pain in the damn ass for our group of 3 right now. However, one thing that is off was Juan did not have his coat on right at the moment. We saw that he only wore his shirt that was underneath. His sword was on his back still, confusing the little elf. "How can you do that?"
"Huh?"
Annelotte looked at the sword latched onto his back. "I must ask too... How do you do that?"
"I use my ablities to have it attach onto my back." He answered. "Think of it like metal being attracted to a magnet that turns off and on."
"Oh. I guess that makes sense." Yuit said still thinking, but finally got back to thinking right. "Anyway, I have a good feeling Liliana's ship will be here."
"Let's wish it the best of luck." They nodded. This is gonna be one hell of a task to do for the three of them. "Juan..." Annelotte got his attention. "Do you really think it was wise to give something THAT precious to Mirim?"
"Yes." He answered. "I believe she'll take care of it," He looked at the sky. "And that necklace has given me a lot of luck."
Back with Luna Luna however, she wasn't having as much fun. She had to do some escorting for a certain someone. "Hey! You better keep up, other wise I'm going to leave you behind!"
"Y-yes! Please wait for me!" That was Mirim, keeping up with Luna Luna... However she fell on the floor... Again. "Oww..." She groaned with her eyes in swirls. She was not doing a good job at the moment from low stamina, but she still held on.
"Jeez..." Luna Luna scratched the back of her head. "How can I get this done faster?" She asked herself, remembering how she got this job stuck to her...
Everyone was at a small pond, having to clean some bruises or scrapes off. Mirim however was still in depression of what happened. "You were right..." Mirim said to Yuit. "Lady Ymir, wasn't really..."
"Even though she did... I can still feel the sadness in her." Juan said to her. "I know for a fact that Ymir is very upset at herself for what she has done."
"I don't blame her!" Yuit pouted, still holding a grudge against the dwarf. She calmed for a bit to talk to her friend. "Oh, Mirim?" The little elf pulled an envelope from her pouch, handing it to her. "Since you're out of work, it's a letter to recommendation."
"Thanks, Yuit." Mirim had tears in her eyes. But then, she felt something placed on her back. It was warm for her, feeling a bit better. She felt a hand placed on her head, seeing Juan smiling at her. Then a loving embrace from Annelotte.
"Take care of your family, and be strong." She said to her.
"I-I will." Her lips curved into a small smile. All of them stood up from their places, ready to leave.
"Mirim..." Juan got her attention, seeing him take off his necklace. "Here." The Rebel started hooking his mother's locket onto girl, seeing it hanging off her neck. "This is something precious to me... I want you to hold onto it."
"R-really?" She looked into his eyes, seeing the enormous amount of trust in her. "B-but this is..."
"When you're strong enough to give it back, hang onto it and never let it go." He hugged the girl, feeling her head on his chest. "Luna Luna." She got his attention. "It's safer if you escort Mirim to her home."
"Huh?! Why me?!"
"I know that I might be asking too much..." He looked down. "But please, do this for me." He bowed at her, making the Dancer blush in happiness.
"The bowing didn't have to be used." She walked over to him as she placed a kiss on his lips. "All I needed was that."
"Thank you." He smiled.
The Dancer began to make fantasies in her mind, making them perverse as possible of her and Juan. She was giddy as a school girl. Mirim, looked at the item around her neck, opening it to show a photo of an infant Juan with his mother... Something this precious, was given and trusted to her? She looked back at the way she was taken, just astounded by this. "Juan... Annelotte..." She said their names.
Back with them however, they saw the town in front of them. The placed looked like a happy go lucky town, not a care in the world... Considering this place is also the world's best Hot Spring Resort! Where you could just relax finally for as long as you want. However, there's no time for that and they knew it in their hearts.
The group of three made their way to the town, with many people looking at them. "This place is something." Juan was amazed at the sight of people and the buildings.
"Look at that!" Yuit pointed at a golden tower in the middle of the city. "That's the most popluar place of Tamia!"
"Tamia? That's what this town is called?" Juan asked as Yuit nodded. "Impressive..." Was the word he could only say to it. "Since we're here, someone must've seen Liliana's ship go by..."
"Correct. Let's try to find someone." With them nodding, someone's stomach grumpled loudly... Juan whistled not looking at the glare they were giving them. "Seriously...?" Yuit deadpanned.
"Is eating really on your mind now?"
"I tried to hold it in... Sorry..." He felt guilty now as they sighed... Their feet kept guided them to a near by restraunt to chow down before the fight... Although a lot of noise was happening inside... What came out of the blue was the door burst opened with men shouting!
"IT'S A DINE AND DASH!"
"Oh crap..." Was all Juan could say before seeing the two culprits they knew full well...
"Don't make us out to be the bad guys here!" A familiar voice spoke up to the owner who carried a cooking machete looking knife. "Afterall, what you're serving here is not real Shai-Fang food!"
"THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S HINOMOTO CUISINE!" He yelled out loudly that had blood veins appearing on his neck and fore head!
"... Tarnyang and... Sainyang?" They're names were said by Annelotte as they saw her with Juan and Yuit.
"I-it's you guys again!" Tarnyang bursted out in surprise. Juan sighed as he walked over to the owner, placing his hand on his shoulder. At that moment, he bowed in respect with his hands together.
"I'm sorry sir... Please, let me pay for them."
"Finally! Someone with manners! That'll be 110 gold coins since they broke my door!"
"Yes sir." He pulled out his pouche giving him enough for it. "Will this do?"
"Yes, thank you kindly." Annelotte and Yuit sighed at how much a nice guy the Nephilim had to be... Was it really an option to be kind to everyone? "Tell you what?! Since you did gave me the money, how about I give you and your friends some steamed meat buns?!" He had a hearty grin on him.
Juan nodded to this. "Thanks that would be really appreciated." Well, it seems doing good deeds give you good things in life... Huh. All of them now sat outside with the warm sun and cool air above them.
"Wow, you guys are awesome!" Tarnyang said taking one of the meat buns as she bit into it. "Thanks for splitting the bill with us! You're good people, you know that?"
Yuit only looked at them dumbfounded at that sentence she spoke. "What do you mean by "Splitting" you-?!" Since Juan was the one who payed for it with his money... They felt bad since he felt like a walking talking ATM... All of them looked at to what was an 'ATM' he spoke of. However, they got off topic as Yuit spoke again. "You should be more grateful for saving your sorry asses!"
Tarnyang simply waggled her finger with a 'tsk' as she did. "In Shai-Fang, we do not feel indepted to someone unless they have helped us three times." Yuit was getting mad... Since they helped them 2 times already.
"That's so dumb!" Yuit bursted out at the older sister.
"You two shouldn't feel like you owe anything to us." Annelotte remarked as she was given a surprise look from Sainyang.
"Oh, did you guys do what you wanted in Gainos?" Tarnyang asked them as they nodded.
"Yeah, but..." The Rebel sighed at what happen not to long ago. "Just some time yesterday, another friend got taken away from us. That's why we're here."
"HA! You guys suck!"
"THAT'S IT!" Yuit was ready to flip the table right now! "We are SO turning you in!" Sainyang though wasn't too trilled about what happened to them long ago before they departed.
"Tarnyang... Even we suck because something of value got stolen..." This made Tarnyang go in a state of panic. But before she could speak, Yuit shoved a meat bun in her mouth... Which was in a way to say the following, 'shut your mouth.'
"What was stolen from you?" Annelotte asked.
"Well, it's a sacred item stolen from us in Shai-Fang that we must retreive." Sainyang answered her.
"Nice job telling them!" Sarcasm was in Tarnyang voice which also had some meat buns too. "Anyway... Since it's out now, we're after Captain Liliana!" Their eyes widen at that name as the Rebel smirked.
He only chuckled a bit. "Well, this is pretty nice." The comment made the sisters confused. "We're after her too."
"Right!"
"Seriously?! Awesome!" At that moment, she pulled out a newspaper article to show the group. "It says here the Captain Liliana has her eyes here on the Golden Goddess Bath in Tamia!"
At that moment, Yuit only sighed with a sweat drop on her... "Isn't this my newspaper...?" She asked herself then looking at Tarnyang who looked at the paper again. "Everything is all made up..." At that moment, Tarnyang felt like she died a little inside...
However, a large boom was heard throughout the town! Everyone became surrounded in fear as a large vessel in the sky came down with an all too familiar laugh. The people were in panic as the undead pirates started dropping from the vessel, causing an uproar! "Not good!" The vessel released a platform hooked to a chain, as that chain had Captain Liliana holding onto it. When it was flat on the floor she jumped off as she saw how delightful it looked... She saw so much treasure or something of value in her eyes.
The team had to hide as the pirates were too busy just taking treasure from the people... It seems they didn't want blood splattered today...
They kept stealing from people as crates and chest were placed on the platform. "Remember men! Take everything of value!"
"I have an idea...!" Annelotte started to explain, as they all agreed to it... Many of them ran into the shadows as they hid behind the boxes. Juan took a peek of the town as an undead pirate took out the golden teeth of an old woman! He was ready to shoot, but something unexplained happened... Liliana cut off her own men's hand as she had the golden teeth now.
Her face was full of frustration. "What have I told you before?! Jeez..." The pirate captain went to the elderly woman, as she placed her teeth back in for her. "Are you alright, ma'am? Here... My apologize." She gave, yes, GAVE the old woman some gold coins from her as a way a apology! Juan didn't know what to think about this pirate captain anymore... "Alright men! Let's go!" She jumped high in the sky as the pirates turned into ghostly spirits returning to the ship. The platform started to rise up, showing that there is no turning back no back now! Quickly they jumped inside a crate that had some treasure, but had to make the best of it, until then, they waited.
And with them as well to their unknown knowledge, was something pink that made of goo. It hid in the cracks of the boxes so no one knew it was there... The goo became a small figure with rabbit ears, as its eyes were clovers. "Juan..." She whispered his name... It was Melona! "I'm so close to you, but I can't talk to you... It's driving me crazy!" With all the pain in her heart, she had to suck it up for the moment now.
The ship flew above the Golden Tower of Tamia, as the bottom opened! This time four grabbing claws appeared as it broke through the roof, latching onto the Golden Goddess Bath! Liliana only laughed cheerfully at this glory of triumph! "Good-bye!" The ship sailed away from the people's vision as they were now depressed from this piliging.
The road continued however for the other two. They find it very challenging though, but soon Mirim was smiling right now. She knew this landscape better than anyone else as she started to run up ahead as Luna Luna was confused as to why she did. She continued walking to see a home and a farm... But she through a lot of it... The soil was weak and terrible, as the flora were dying with it.
All of it just seemed like a wasteland... Luna Luna felt like her heart sank just from seeing it all...
"I'm going to sell those at the market tomorrow, so don't pick it okay?"
"Yes Mommy."
Luna Luna saw the people having the conversation, as it was a woman who... Looked like she was in a horrible state. Very sickly, but kept on going. She started to cough with another child coming to her, seeing that this child was a girl. "I'm fine honey." She patted the girls head.
"Mom, y-you should go home and lie down!" The boy said.
"No... It's fine. I promise..."
"Mom..." Mirim called to the woman, as their eyes turned to face the young girl.
"Mirim..." The mother had passion in her voice to see her daughter again, as with the children running up to her!
"BIG SIS!" The boy grabbed onto the coat Juan gave her. "We missed you! We thought we wouldn't see you again!" The girl grabbed the other side as she planted her face on the surface of the coat. Mirim ducked down to hug both of them.
"Guys, I'm back..." She smiled. "I wouldn't have it any other way." She giggled happily... Luna Luna saw how... Just heartwarming to see this family reunion...
Everyone went inside the home to sit down as they enjoyed a decent meal of stew. "It's so nice to know Mirim brought home a wonderful friend!" The mother said as she passed out bowls of stew for everyone. The kids savored the meal, Mirim and her mother talked as they ate. Luna Luna however just sat there blank...
"I... I never had this kind of food before..." She said as the mother frowned, thinking she wasn't satisfied.
"Sorry hun, it's contry food, I hope you don't mind..."
"N-no! It's fine..." She forced a smile onto her lips. "Calibara is in the country too." Everyone ate their meals.
After dinner, everyone was getting ready for the night. Mirim was back in her regular clothes now, but... Juan's coat was folded neatly on her dresser with her armor. The girl then pulled out the locket... Opening it again to see the picture... "Are you thinking of those people that brought you home?"
Her thoughts were interrupted by her mother who entered the room. "Y-yes..." She nodded.
Mirim's mother looked over her shoulder to see the picture that was in the locket. "Oh, how cute!" She commented. "Who's that?"
"It's the man... When he was little... And his mother is my guess." She answered, still thinking. "He told me to hang onto until I get stronger... Saying it was precious to him." She still could not believe how much trust Juan placed in her fragil body. Did he truly believe in her? Mirim felt it was a definite yes in her heart. "And there was this knight who was stronger than I could think of. She's so brave, strong and so kind..." She closed the locket as she gripped it tightly. "I wished I could be like her..."
Her mother could see right through her. "You want to be by there side instead of here?" This questioned caused her to flinch.
"N-no! I didn't say that!" She looked down thinking of the people.
"Go..." She felt her mother's arms hugging her warmly... "When I was your age... I wanted to be with your father no matter who much trouble I could get into."
"Mom..."
"Go my daughter... Always know that I love you so much, and could never replace a wonderful daughter like yourself." Mirim smiled happily with the tears flowing. All she could do, was embrace her mother.
"Sis?" They looked to see Mirim's baby sister coming in with her hands behind her back. "I did this... If you came back." What appeared was a crown made of flowers! "I've been practicing... And I wanted to know..."
"I love it." Mirim answered honestly. She took the crown from her sister to place it on her head. "Thank you..."
"Big Sister, always do what your heart tells you!" She smiled innocently... Yes. Mirim will do that.
Outside though, was Luna Luna who was standing out in the dark as the moon shined brightly on the earth. "Hey?" Mirim's brother opened the door. "What're you doing?"
"Moon bathing." She answered without facing him.
"Oh..." He didn't know how to respond to that. "Well, the bed is ready incase your feeling sleepy." The boy closed the door to leave the dancer alone... All she saw now was just the yard and it's terrible soil... She walked to one of the trees seeing it was healthy, but something caught her attention!
"Is this...?!" She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her! What the Moonlight Dancer found, was Calibara medicine! The best medicine that makes doctors look like a joke to everyone! "This is Picanyushida Yadorishida!" This little herb could heal you in a night for how amazing it is!
As the night settled with everyone asleep, Luna Luna made her move. She chewed on the herb so it was made to swallow easily and undetected at that. She needed to do this carefully, or a giant misunderstanding will happen for her and Mirim! She was using her tentacles to hang off the ceiling to get close enough to the mother... At that, she placed her own lips on the mother with the herbs going down her throat. "That's as good as I can do..." She whispered as she snuck outside to feel the moon coating her with it's light again.
The Moonlight Dancer started dancing with the grace of elegance, as two tentacles morphed into the ground as the other two were raised high in the sky to be used as funnels! Her body glew with a heavenly light with the light speck of the moon being sucked into them as some others touched the ground! However... One thing that would cost, is her life! Luna Luna knew the cost, but she did it for the poor family. This dance acted as a bridge of the moon and the earth to gain fertility... Luna Luna did not have a sense of regret.
The soil began to become fresh once again, as the vegetables were the same! The light from her body dimmed, with Luna Luna fainting on the spot. "You're welcome... Mirim..." She smiled. "Juan... I'll be there soon..."
Speaking of them... There they were outside of the box as they looked around the place. "This place is could use some cleaning..." Yuit remarked seeing the flith everywhere.
"Now's not the time to be a neat freak!" Tarnyang snapped with Yuit giving her a glare.
"Cut it out you two...!" The Rebel snapped at them quietly. "This is a stealth mission. Becareful, okay?"
"Juan's right." Annelotte agreed to with him. "Let's get Vante and the Sacred Vessel."
"Right!" Yuit was cheerful about this! Everyone agreed to the plan as they started to leave. They had to be sneaky as a snake... Or in Juan's case, like Irma or Echidna. They stopped real quick with a skeleton pirate checking the halls.
"Damn... This is gonna be tougher than we thought." Annelotte commented.
"Yeah... But I think I can make silencers for my guns." He pulled one out as he concentrated real hard! In 5 seconds a silencer was placed on the pistol! "Yes...!" The Rebel aimed at one coming by... However, a faint scream came behind them as he accidently fired but missed! Thankfully they didn't even notice...
"Did you hear something?" THEY NOTCIED!
"No." Oh Thank God...
The group took a deep breath of relief, as Yuit looked behind her to scold the sisters. "Seriously?! Now's not the-" Before she could finish her sentence, she saw a hole at where Tarnyang and Sainyang used to be! "time?"
The group was confused as they started to hear a creaking sound under them... "Oh shit..." Was all Juan said as they fell through the floor! They landed on the next floor, seeing it was brighter than the others... "What the hell?"
"Oh yeah~! That's it!" Juan looked to his left to see one foot and the splashing of water. "This Golden Goddess Bath is simply amazing!" That was Captain Liliana alright... She sounded like she was in cloud 9 right now. He saw Yuit and Annelotte there with him as they were distracted by a certain someone...
"It's Vante!" Yuit whispered in surprise.
"Hey! How long do you plan on keeping me waiting?!" Liliana called out to them. "I would like it if someone started helping scrub my body!" She didn't sound pissed, just wanting a nice bath.
"You guys look for the remote..." Juan said as he grabbed a piece of cloth in a storage closet near them. "I'll keep her busy."
"Define 'busy' Juan..." Annelotte glared at him as Juan didn't even look at the Princess. Instead, he just placed the cloth on his head like a pirate bandana then covered his face with a different piece of cloth.
"Sorry to, uh, keep yee busy, Captain." Juan spoke in an accent that would hopefully work. He stepped out to see a naked Liliana who was in bliss from the tub. "Where should I begin?" He asked her as she lifted up her leg.
He gently touched her leg as he began to scrub it gently to her. "Oh my~! You're quite good!" She complemented him. "Are you the new recruit?"
"Aye! It's a damn good show here!" He still talked in the accent, and it seems she was buying it, thankfully. He continued to wash her as he started going to her body... Thankfully, Juan knew where to bathe and scrub a woman because of the girls back home. Echidna, Risty and Melpha were something when they washed all together. Keyword being 'washed.'
"My... You're skilled..." The Captain felt like she could nap. Meanwhile, a jealous Annelotte was working hard to not think of her inner dark thoughts... With Yuit just questioning on what's happening right now as she continued to search for Vante's control.
However, some others were having a difficult time too. Tarnyang and Sainyang were searching through many rooms for their Sacred Vessel, only now to find themselves... In a kitchen. "Do you think that skeletons really need to eat?"
"Who cares? Let's just hurry and find our Sacred Vessel!" The sisters went through every little thing right now, to find nothing but junk or food. Sainyang went to jars trying find there Sacred Vessel.
"They have pickled good too..." Sainyang commented.
"Who cares?!" Tarnyang spat out, getting impatient with her little sister. The one in red looked at her... Seeing that she was still looking in the jar. "What's wrong?"
"I found it..." Tarnyang rushed to what she just said! Her face however became blank and pale at what she was seeing right now... It was used as a pickling stone at the moment...
Tarnyang had finally lost all patience in this crazy world of life... "WHY IN THE HELL IS USED FOR A PICKLING STONE!?-?!"
For this, wasn't good... Liliana quickly stood up from her luxorius bath, to see behind a curtain was where Annelotte and Yuit where... "Hey...!" Liliana got a good look at them... She turned around to see her 'crew mate' shaking from being nervous. She calmly took off the clothes that Juan used as a mask to get a good look at them. "Don't I know you guys?"
"Crap..." Was all he could say...
The door was kicked down as the group of three started running down the ship! They needed to get out now! "WHERE?! WHERE?! WHERE?!" Was all Yuit could say in a panic state right now! "WHERE'S THE EXIT?!"
"LET'S JUST HURRY AND LEAVE!" Juan shouted at the elf as he was also in a state of panic! This was supposed to be a stealth mission for God's sakes! Every hall that came had skeleton arms coming out trying to grab them! They reached what seemed to be a different room, as rope and bags of sand to bring down a platform where there!
"I TOLD YOU TO TELL ME WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO RUN!" That voice came from a different hallway, to see Tarnyang booking it as the other was being carried away! Right behind them were none other than... MORE PIRATES! CRAP!
"GUYS! OVER HERE!" Juan called out to them as they were ready to leave. The three saw she was carrying something covered in a blue cloth too. The platform came down... Seeing a group of more pirates... Shit. They were backed up to a pillar in the room... This was just PERFECT!
All of them hear footsteps coming from the upper level. "My! You guys sure are courages..." They saw Captain Liliana there as she placed her foot on the railing to look down on them. "For trying to steal a pirate's treasure!" She smirked widely. Out of her coat she pulled out the controller! This wasn't good! "Now then... Shall we begin your punishment?!" Vante appeared behind the pirate captain. "As your new master! I order you to destroy them!"
"GAAAOOO!" The automaton jumped from the second floor onto the lower one, facing her friends...
Juan and Annelotte withdrew their swords, seeing that they had no choice. "Everyone clear the way!" Juan said to the others as they tried. This wasn't the best place to have a fight! Vante started punching rapidly at amazing speed that had quite a difficult task for them! They seperated to try and corner the automaton, charging in at full speed. "I'm sorry, Vante..." He flinched for a moment. "FORGIVE US!" Before he could hit her, the automaton's fist went straight flying into his face!
"JUAN!" Annelotte was about to land a strike, but failed to do so as Vante countered with a swift kick. The Princess Knight landed on some boxes, yet didn't give up so easily! With Vante about to attack, something grabbed her instead... "What the?!"
"HUH?!" Liliana saw it was Juan holding her back. "Like that will do anything!" She laughed as Vante simply tossed him aside into the pillar of the room!
Annelotte swiftly ran to Rebel to see he wasn't okay... "I got one more... Shot...!" He stood up his ground as Vante came in with a punch! Annelotte blocked it with her strength as she hoped whatever was going on in Juan's head was going to work! "Vante! Stop it, please!" He tried to talk to her, but instead saw the gun being attached and aimed at them!
"NO! STOP IT!" Yuit grabbed the automaton's arm!
"Stop this, Vante!" Annelotte said to her.
"You can't be controlled forever..." He started to speak. "Just because your a machine, doesn't mean you don't have a heart or soul!"
"How weak..." Liliana smiled as she pressed a button... Nothing happened. "What the?"
"You're not just something created, you're someone we all care for." Juan looked at the other two as they nodded in agreement. "Yuit cares about you... Annelotte cares about you... Mirim cares about you... I care about you..." The Rebel placed his hand on hers... Vante felt something pumping in her body, but was oblivious to what it was. "You've always had the chance to start making your own path! Now's the time to do that!" He looked dead in her eyes... "Vante... Take control of your own life..."
The words that came out of his mouth made Vante shout! She was about to punch them, but instead of that... She turned the other way at where Liliana was! The Pirate dodged out of the way to had the control be broken in pieces! Yuit's eyes were widen, but Juan smiled at this... The fist came back to her... As she was idle for a moment...
They saw Vante face them with that smile of hers... "J-Juan..." What...? "Yuit... Annelotte..." She was speaking? The Automaton embraced the three in a hug, with Tarnyang and Sainyang surprised by what just happened! "Thank you!"
"V-Vante... You're talking...?" Yuit was surprised by this as she thought it was impossible for this to ever happen! She wasn't designed to speak...!
"Dammit!" Liliana cursed, as Vante grabbed Juan and threw him to the upper floor of where Liliana was! He landed with a gun in his hands as Liliana pulled out a flint locked pistol! They pointed the pistols at the others fore head... They engaged in a standoff.
Juan however was the first to put down his weapon... "This is pointless, Captain Liliana." He stated. "There is no need to fight..."
"Sorry, but as a Pirate I must kill you for trying to steal my treasure!" She smirked. "But, I do thank you for the scrubbing though... You are quite skilled..." The Pirate Captain commented him as he smirked at this. "It's too bad though... You would've made a fine pirate... Maybe even my First Mate in this crew."
"It is..." He closed his eyes ready for the trigger to be pulled...
"NO! DON'T!" Annelotte screamed as she was ready to fight her again! But before anything, the ship started moving on it's own! Like something was crashing into it! "What the hell?!"
"EVERYONE! TO THE TOP!" Liliana commanded as the skeletons ran to what was going on. Before she could move, she shot the flint lock pistol at Juan's feet as he didn't even flinch. "Count yourself lucky... For now." Everyone made it to the deck to see what was happening... No one was there in the dead of night... They were still in the air, but could smell the ocean's sea salt. They must be on an outside of the Continent now to rest until the raid another town.
"CAPTAIN!" One of the skeletons called out from one of the sides! "IT'S BA-AHHH!" Before he could finish, a large tentacle appear and swiped the skeleton away!
"No..." Was all Liliana could say as she knew that tentacle anywhere... Everyone looked over to see the terrifying thing since the seas began. "We meet again... Kraken...!"
"No way..." Was all Juan could say at the sight before him. Everyone couldn't believe it...
It's body was massive, the color was a dark grey ash with light blue tattoo-like art on it's body that illuminated the dark, rising from a whirlpool. The eyes belonged to those of a beast, yellow with red and orange... And then... It roared! It's mouth looked fireced as it's teeth looked like blades!
"What am I gonna do?!" The group saw Liliana thinking about what the hell is happening. She was also freaking out of the situation. "DAMMIT! I didn't think I would see it again!"
"We fight..." Everyone faced Juan like he was insane. "No matter what, we will kill this thing..."
"THAT BEAST TOOK MY LIFE ONCE!" Liliana snapped at him as they were surprised by this news. "We tried fighting it once! We can't do it again!"
"Oh yes... We have the advantage of the sky." That's when the group smirked at the idea he was having right now... "Have faith in us, Liliana..."
Was he confident or just stupid right now?! "He's right..." The attention was now focused on Annelotte, having confidence in this situation. "Liliana..."
"Sorry, but I can't do that!" The pirate snapped at her. "It's part of my aesthetics... My rules..." The pirate closed her eyes for a moment to calm down. "A pirate should never push something they can't accomplish on to another."
"Sorry Captain, but..." Juan smirked as he started tossing rope to Annelotte. "We play by our own rules." Everyone started getting prepared for a fight against the deadly beast! "EVERYONE TO ON DECK!"
"GET THE FLAG UP!" Annelotte ordered.
"YOU GUYS! READY THE CANNONS!" Yuit shouted at the skeletons harshly. Everyone was doing that, making the Captain of the ship confused. Yuit looked at the pinked haired pirate. "C'mon! They're your crew! Order them!"
"W-what?!" She was stunned... But, they are willing to fight and win? It was impossible, but something inside her made faith feel like it was appearing... Liliana smirked.
"ALRIGHT! BOYS! LET'S SEND THIS BEAST TO IT'S DEATH!" The undead pirates just raised their swords up in a roar of victory to come! Juan and others thought they could win as well! "Juan!" Liliana caught his attention... "You're still mad..." She smirked as she gave him the signal.
"Vante!" He got her attention. "Launch me!" She nodded as she grabbed him... With careful timing, a tentacle came up to attack them as Vante threw him over to it! Juan slashed through with accurate edge as he smirked! The beast roared in pain to have it's attention on the Nephilim. He kept falling down to the sea, concentrating real hard... A light from his body illuminated the light, having everyone in awe right now! A pair of wings erupted from his back to witness the angel side that was part of him!
The cannons fired at the Kraken to only pierce the ship with many tentacles! Everyone was terrified about it! Juan started transforming his pistols into one assault rifle! Liliana threw a powder keg overboard to have close enough at the Kraken's face, with Juan shooting it with accurate aim! The keg exploded in the monster's face as it roared again!
The tentacles were striking swiftly at the Rebel who dodged them! "Come and get me!" He taunted. The Kraken simply kept attacking on all area's around it, knocking the ship back and forth! This much was caused Tarnyang and Sainyang to get knocked off the ship! The two sisters fell to what seemed like their doom, until someone caught them.
Tarnyang was the first to see it was Juan who carried to two with ease! This was finally three times they saved them... "Hold on!" He announced as he had to make a turn! Near him was the ship as he landed to drop him off.
"Juan!" Annelotte came at him. "I'm coming with you!"
"Huh?!" He was baffled by the words she was saying.
"We fight together! Right?" She held up her sword proudly, with the Rebel in awe but smiled with a nod. He grabbed her by the waist with his left hand.
"Hold on tight!" He said as they flew off! Juan gripped his blade tightly as they starrted fighting the beast! Liliana saw that they were giving it their all just to kill this bastard, but felt like she wasn't having any of the fun like them.
She then remembered something! Liliana grabbed some rope with a cannon, tying it to the ship then the weapon... "I'm either stupid or brave... But here I go!" She let the cannon as it blasted with sending Liliana off! She saw the Kraken trying to swat away the duo who simply smirked at a clear shot! The Captain slashed through the tentacle as she jumped off it at the last second!
The beast was getting impatient right now, wanting to kill them all! Liliana ran along one of it's appendages to give quick slashes with it's blood being spilled in the sea. The Pirate Captain saw Juan coming in as she jumped high in the air, landing on the Nephilim's back! She held on tight to him, as they saw the Kraken almost defeated.
"LET'S GO!" Juan sped up to fly right at the beast! Their swords were ready with a power covering their bodies! In one flash like lightning, they went straight through the beast! The attack made a large hole in his head, as the beast died on the spot!
The three landed on the ship with everyone amazed at the sight that was in their eyes... At that moment, Tarnyang hugged Juan out of nowhere with all the skeletons raising their swords and cheering! "Mates! This is a day..." The Pirate Captain raised up her blade to the moon. "OF VICTORY!" What a blessed day this moment was...
However, some weren't victorious as others... Instead, some were different. Right now in the castle of Gainos, was where the people were planning out the schemes. "The meeting shall begin." Queen Claudette announced with the doors closing with no one in but the people of high power... "What info have you uptained?"
Eli stood up first, with Ymir and Eilin next. "When doing the mission, Your Highness," He had to clear his throat. "We saw something we thought was strange..."
"What did you see?" Siqui asked taking a sip of tea.
"Don't keep us in suspense, Eli." Aeton was patient for the information to come.
"It was our Knights... Fighting for a demon." Their eyes widen at this...
Somewhere else is where people were having a jolly good time. In the Kingdom of Amara, Queen Menace was in her child's bed room. Using baby talking as the infant giggled. "Who's a happy boy~?" She cooed him as she playfully poked his belly. "You are! Yes you are!" She kissed the infants cheek who loved every second of being with his mother. But before anything, the infant started yawning. "Aww... Someone's sleepy."
Menace tucked the baby in his crib who was sound asleep at the moment. "Queen Menace?" One of the soldiers got her attention. "We'll watch over him." The soldiers reassured her Queen, who smiled at her.
"Thank you!" Menace placed her hand on the soldiers cheek, kissing her on the lips. She stopped to kiss the other woman, who enjoyed it too. When she stopped, she waved at them. "You girls take care of my boy now!" She giggled as they nodded at the happy woman. Menace cheerfully walked down the hall with no care in the world.
"Queen Menace!" She attention was caught by one of the soldiers who's eyes were filled with confusion and fear. "There is something outside you need to see!" She nodded who sped up faster then the soldier! Menace was outside of her palace as she saw the row boat near her.
Menace got into the boat with some of the soldiers getting inside too. They quickly left fast to the city... "Inform me! What is happening?!" She asked.
"Let's just say it's something we have never seen before!"
"My Lady!" The voice came from Menace's long time friend, Setra. "W-We got trouble!"
"I know!" The boat finally hit the town as the Queen of New Amara ran through it as she saw everyone in a state of panic but awestruck. Menace finally came close to the entrance of the town to see what everyone else saw... "Trees...? In the middle of the desert?" What they saw wasn't just ordinary green and brown trees... They looked dead, but were large!
"That's not just it! Look at what's coming from it!" Out of the trees came monsters! No, not just monsters... Demons!
"Setra?" She caught the staff's attention. "How far will you follow with me?"
"I'll be by your side until the ends of the Earth, My Queen!" Setra announced proudly to her.
"Thank you." Menace started running again as she left a trail of sand dust behind her! "HERE WE GO!" The Queen of New Amara jumped into the night sky, seeing the ground under her! "Take this!" Menace fell down from the sky like a speeding bullet! "HOLY DIVE BOMB!" The Queen landed hard on the sand without any damage to her body, but instead launched a massive wave of sand at the monsters! She stood there with a smirk. "Do you really think that you pathetic creatures can stop me?"
They rose from the sand with growls and sneers at her. She only got in a stand to fight them with all her might! An aura surrounded Menace who only smirked. "Witness the powers of a Queen! The Power of Heaven and The Kingdom of Amara!"

Q: What's Echinda's curse? How come Echinda can't eat? How does Echinda survive if she can't eat?
A: Do you mean Risty? Because Risty has that curse... Anyway, I guess it's like a reject kind of thing in Risty where if you try, the body will stop doing any of that is my guess. And my guess on how she survives is pretty much the Swamp Witch gives her a life energy kind of thing to where she can't die simply by starvation. So, immortal to starvation is pretty much what it is... Or Risty is just that bad ass.
