Rhinocaputo777 requested this story as a plot where Miss M and Artemis both fall in love with Danny.
Danny was running, in fact, he has never felt so out of breath before even when Ms. Tetslaff had Dash train him. The evidence of rain was throughout the dark city as every step happened to get his pants cuffs water soaked. His luck has always been the worst and every time he thinks it could never possibly get worse, it does.
He had no idea whatsoever where he was located all he knew was that a portal appeared and he happened to fall through it like the clumsy idiot he is. Now his ghost powers are not working correctly and he happens to have what seems to be a freaky guy that reminded him of Sam's horror preferences chasing him. The weirdo had a burlap sack covering his face and the awfully stitched smile was barking out a laugh that echoed through the streets. The sight that disturbed him the most, however, was the rope that dangled around its neck like some sort of sick fashion sense.
"Oh crud!" Danny yelled out as his luck once again got worse and he slipped on the wet alley-way floor. The creep was fast and Danny could tell whatever it was, it was not a ghost.
"Uh, sorry but the pumpkin patches don't open for another month." Danny gave a sheepish laugh and crawled backward as an attempt to get away.
"I will bring fear to Gotham!" It yelled in a distorted voice and took out a syringe that was filled with something that eerily reminded him of ectoplasm.
Of course any other day Danny could beat this thing into the ground, but today he happened to have no such abilities. He was exhausted, had no powers, and would gladly take a day with Vlad over this.
He held his arm up, like that would help. He seriously thought he was done for until he saw a green object come from the building above them. He peered over the things arm and saw a silhouette of what seemed to be a girl from the top of the building.
Before the man jammed the needle that contained who knows what into his arm an arrow precisely shattered the contents. The green liquid was washed away by the drain below them along with the water that fell from the gutters above.
The thing gave a bellowing yell of anger and turned to the building that Danny was currently staring at.
"Gotham will be mine!" It yelled and threw some spherical containers to the rooftops that exploded with a toxic green tinted gas.
The girl jumped out of the way before it could cause her any harm and landing in a crouch next to the thing.
"Yeah, yeah, you're lucky it was me and not Batman." The girl dodged some more attacks and Danny watched helplessly in shock. It was tearing him apart by the fact he was not able to help in some way, he was supposed to be the hero.
She gave some complex flips that would even give his mother a run for her money. After some more dodges and then a right hook the thing fell to the ground unconscious.
"Are you okay?" She asked and knelt next to the halfa. Now that he could see her easier he could see her long tied back blonde hair and green outfit that had an arrow on it.
"Yeah, I believe so." He gave her a small smile.
"Uh, who are you?" He questioned.
"You don't know me?" She seemed a bit surprised and held out her hand to help him up, he accepted.
"I'm Artemis, and what the hell are you doing out in Gotham at this time?" Her smile turned to a lecture.
"Gotham?" Great, now not only tired but he was also confused.
"You know Gotham City, the one that the Dark Knight resides in." She rolled her eyes and sarcastically crossed her arms.
"Uh, sorry never heard of it." He rubbed the back of his neck being he felt awkward under her intense stare.
"Did you live under a rock your whole life?" She questioned.
"No, I lived under a blimp." He joked but just ended with her looking at him like he was insane.
"Okay…" She drew out.
"Where is Amity Park?" He asked and wished he could turn invisible from her gaze.
"Never heard of it." She said with boredom.
"Uh, what about Danny Phantom? He is the local hero of the town." He said hoping that would ring a bell.
"Did you hit your head or something? I would know if there was another hero besides The League and its sister organizations." She raised an eyebrow and put her hands on her hips.
"The League?" Now he oddly looked at her.
"The Justice League of America, you know Batman, Superman, Flash…"
"Nope." He said popping the p.
"You are worse than that Speedster I swear!" She yelled in frustration.
"Well, thanks for the save." He waved and started to limp away from the girl who had Sam's attitude.
"Wait! Where the hell are you going?" She yelled and he turned around.
"No clue." He muttered and was about to walk away again.
"You will die if you go alone like that in Gotham." She told him in a serious voice.
"Like what?" He questioned.
"Your ankle is sprained and Gotham's criminals escaped last night from Arkham, you happened to find one of them." She pointed to the creep.
"Point taken, but I can defend myself." He told her, besides, his powers may come back soon.
"Oh, like you did now?" She brought back the sarcasm.
"I had it covered." Now he firmly crossed his arms.
"I am going to contact Batman about him and then we will figure out what to do with you." She glared and brought out a device.
"Woah, no thanks. I am grateful and all, but I am not leaving with some weirdos and definitely not one who calls themself Batman." He argued and backed away holding up his hands.
"Don't make me have to knock you out!" She brought up her bow and pulled out an arrow that looked different than her normal ones.
"Try it!" He scoffed and went running once again through the foggy night. It was pretty pathetic the way he limped and ran, but he was determined.
"Come on!" She yelled in frustration and started to chase him and took the sharp right through the alley he just went through.
Danny saw a dumpster in the next alley to the left, so he opened the lid and jumped in and carefully closed it. He heard her stop in front of the dumpster that had an alley of cross sections, so she would suspect he took one of those paths.
"Don't blame me when you end up dead!" She yelled and gave up. He heard her footsteps echo back to where she took down that weird creep.
He gave a sigh of relief and hopped out of the gross hiding place and wiped off the grime and picked off the rotten banana peel that resided on his shoulder.
"Just try to find me." He chuckled and ran off some more through the now sprinkling chilly weather.
