Tomorrow was Lexie and John's anniversary. He'd just walked through the door of Lexie's apartment and put his bag down.
"Hello?"
"Hi John." Max said getting up from the couch.
"Hey buddy." The hugged.
"John!" Marybeth said excitedly coming down the stairs.
"There's my girl." They hugged.
"Hi honey." Lexie said coming into the room.
"Hey baby." They kissed. He looked at the kids. "Guys, give me a few minutes to rest then we'll go to the park." "We'll play catch if you want to Max."
"Yeah." Max said.
"It'll be fun." "We'll give your mommy some private time."
"Trying to butter me up for something?" Lexie asked smiling.
"No, I just figured you could use some alone time."
At the park John and Max had just finished playing catch.
"That was fun." Max said.
"Your arm's getting stronger." John said.
"John come push me on the swings." Marybeth said.
"Ok." Marybeth got on a swing. "Here we go." He started to push her.
It was around one o'clock in the morning. There was a really bad thunderstorm going on outside. Marybeth came running into Lexie's room with Pandy in hand. She went to John's side of the bed.
"John." He opened his eyes.
"What's wrong?" He said tiredly.
"I'm afraid." "Can Pandy and me sleep with you?"
"Yeah." He pulled back the blankets. She got in the bed. He covered her up. "It's alright." "You and Pandy will be just fine."
"I love you John."
He smiled. "I love you too Marybeth." He kissed her forehead.
The next night Lexie and John were getting ready to go out for their anniversary.
"Come here guys." John said kneeling down. Max and Marybeth hugged him. "You guys be good."
"We will." Marybeth said. She kissed him on the cheek.
"We'll see you guys in the morning." Lexie said.
Lexie and John were at the restaurant where they had their first date.
"Do you think you could expand your gyms to Tampa?" John asked.
"Yeah." "Why?"
"I want you and the kids to move in with me."
"You do?" She said smiling.
"Yes." "I think the kids would like to in Florida." "I was thinking you guys could come out there was they're on spring break." "Then when I get home a few days after, we'll talk to them about it."
"Alright."
After dinner Lexie and John were going for a walk. Suddenly John stopped and got in front of her.
"Do you recognize this spot?" He asked.
"No." "Should I?"
"This is where we ran into each other last year and I asked you to lunch."
"Is it." She saw John take something out of his pocket. "What's that?" Her jaw dropped when she saw him get down on one knee. He opened the little box. Inside was a beautiful four karat silver engagement ring. "John." She said shocked.
"When we broke up for those two weeks, I realized I couldn't live without you." "I love you and I love the kids." "Lexie, will you marry me?"
