"I wasn't expecting this at all." Lexie said still in shock. "I don't know what to say."
"Say yes."
She smiled. "Yes." She bent over and kissed him. He put the ring on her finger and stood up. They hugged. "I love you so much John."
"I love you too." "I hope the kids will be happy about it."
"Are you kidding?" "Of course they will John." "They love you."
"I love them."
"I know."
When they got back to the apartment Lexie and John were laying in bed snuggled up to each other. She looked at her engagement ring and smiled.
"I still can't believe this." She said happily. "Even though we haven't talked about it, I didn't think you wanted to get married."
"When we first started seeing each other, I didn't." "As I've fallen more and more in love with you, I've realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you." They kissed.
The morning they were all in the kitchen having breakfast.
"Kids, John and I need to talk to you." Lexie said.
"Is mommy having a baby?" Marybeth asked excitedly.
"No."
"Last night I asked your mommy to marry me." "She said yes."
"That means a wedding right?" Marybeth asked.
"Yes."
"I'm glad." Max said.
"Me to." Marybeth said.
"Good." John said.
"Are you gonna live with us now?"
"Well when you guys go on spring break, we're going to John's house in Florida." Lexie said. "If you guys like it there we're moving there but only if you like it."
"We'll live with John?"
"Yes."
"Then I want to."
"Let's see if you guys like it first."
Lexie sent the kids off to school. She set up the laptop so she and John could Skype with Kim and Randy. They were in the living room. It started to ring. A few seconds later Kim popped up on the screen..
"Hi you guys." Kim said.
"Hi." Lexie said.
"Hi." "Get Randy." John said.
"Randy, come here." Kim said. He appeared on camera a few seconds later.
"Hey man." Randy said.
"Hey." John said.
"We have something to tell you guys?" Lexie held her ring hand up.
Kim's jaw dropped. "Oh my god, what?! She said shocked.
"John what the hell, why didn't you tell me?" Randy asked.
"I wasn't sure if she'd say yes." John said.
"Dude, you're gonna be my brother-in-law."
"I know."
"Do the kids know?" Kim asked.
"Yeah." "They're happy." Lexie said.
"Good, so am I."
"I:am to." That's great." Randy said.
I'm going to run this story idea by you guys again. Maybe you'll have a change of heart. I still think it's a good idea. It's not a love story. A woman meets her favorite wrestler. He rapes her she reports it but nobody believes her. Not even some of her own family. Thoughts?
