Chapter 2: Recommendation Exams
Ren Todoroki was easily the most popular guy in school, his good looks ensured that. His job at a modeling agency added to that, and of course how could anyone overlook the son of the number 4 hero. Girls flocked to him, and while he couldn't say that he didn't enjoy that, it wasn't really where his heart was. He wanted to be just like his parents, amazing heroes.
So here he was, in a group of a hundred or so students hoping to pass the recommendation exams of the prestigious UA high. He had to admit that the group did look promising and he was a tad bit nervous that he might not make it in, but he had to put those fears aside because he was going to get in.
"You guys ready for this?" The pro hero Chargebolt shouted at the crowd of students, when no one reacted he kept up his energy and continued with his presentation, "You guys are the cream of the crop, you've shown you're good enough to even be standing here with us."
"This is the recommendation exam of UA, now usually we would explain how this works, have you guys run the exam and then tell you how only four of you are making it in," His amber eyes sparked as he smirked, "We're accepting eight this time around, four of you for each class."
"We'll divide you into groups of ten," Chargebolt said, calling out everyone's names, most were no name people, a few from other well established Pro Heroes, but there was one that wowed everyone. Inko Midoriya, the daughter of the Number 1 Hero: Deku and Number 2 Hero: Neijire-Chan.
Ren watched as the girl made her way to her assigned group, she seemed familiar, granted she was the hero's daughter so maybe she just resembled her parents and that's how he recognized her, but he wasn't sure.
Taking place with his own group Ren waited until he was called on to go with his group. The group mostly looked nervous, but he wasn't, he had prepared for this. Chargebolt had explained the exam, they would have a course with multiple obstacles, the first one through from each group would then participate in the next round and the top eight from that group would make it into UA.
"Start!" The lightning hero shouted and the group took off. Ren activated his quirk, a weak acidic solution seeping out of his feet, Ren took off, his feet sliding across the ground. Everyone else in his group was easily left behind him, none of them had the slightest chance of being able to catch up with him. It was too easy, all he had to do was navigate the fake city and get to the finish line.
He rounded a corner and came face to face with a massive robot, one that was easily as tall as some of the buildings around it. It's glowing red eye focused on the pink haired boy and he simply flashed a smile as he skidded to a stop with a massive wall of ice erupting from his feet, piercing the robot through the chest. Returning to action he rushed forward sliding on a slick of ice. He navigated the city terrain with extreme skill and precision, destroying any robots he came across eventually sliding across the finish line long before anyone else in his group. He couldn't say he was happy with how he effectively ended all these students' chances of getting in, but he had to do what he did.

Ren can create fire, ice and acid and be able to manipulate those elements.
He made his way back to the main group as they watched the other students finish their exams. Inko Midoriya was the top of her group, finishing as well as Ren, several leagues ahead of the others. He had to admit he was impressed, at first glance she seemed to be your typical bubbly teenage girl, but she had skill and power. She was more than meets the eye.
The other groups finished leaving a group of forty left to take the last part of the exam. They lined up, Ren and Inko had been assigned consecutive numbers. Ending up next to each other on the starting line. Inko seemed very pleased, and Ren could say that he too was excited to see her in action.
"Todoroki-kun," Inko beamed, her enthusiastic optimism rubbing off on Ren and calming him a bit, "We're gonna do great, I'll be seeing you at the finish line!"
"You too Midoriya-chan," Ren returned, flashing her a smile that sent a red blush all across her face.
"On your mark, get set," Chargebolt announced through the PA system, "GO!"
Just like the last time Ren seeped acid out of his feet, sliding ahead of the group that was until Inko blasted past him. Pale green energy blasting out of her hands and feet, as she rocketed over most of the crowd. Another girl with wings flew past Ren, her passive expression revealing nothing as she easily passed even Inko, her speed impressing him also.
The air grew cold as someone else neared Ren, his heterochromatic eyes darted to the side a smile growing on his face. The bright red hair and big pink eyes just like her mother, Venus Todoroki, his cousin. She slid on an ice slick just like her cousin, the positivity fueling her quirk.
Ren had to admit he was impressed by all the skill found in the group, inspired by their effort he put forth more of his own. Switching from acid to ice Ren quickly gained, keeping pace with both Venus and Inko.
In the lead Soratobu Takami faced down several robots, she hated her small stature, standing a few inches shorter than five feet tall. She hated that, she wanted to be feared, but all anyone would ever say about her was how adorable she was, how cute she would look if she dressed differently and stuff like that. She was going to prove them wrong, she was going to prove them that she could be tough.
Flying towards the nearest one she extended her foot and slammed into the robot. Her foot crushing the metal and the robot being knocked off balance, it tumbled backwards into the one directly behind it, the domino effect taking place and finishing off the rest of the robots. She was glad she wasn't one of the fools on the ground that would have to deal with the aftermath of that.

Quirk: Skvader
She has the attributes of both a hawk and a rabbit. She can fly and has super strong kicks!
Down on the ground Inko activated her quirk, green energy blasting out of her hands and smashing through the falling robot. She maneuvered with her quirk, blasting through falling rubble. Her quirk was very simple, but extremely versatile, she used it for maneuverability and battle. She scrambled her way through the rubble coming out on the other side unscathed, her energy propelling her through the air.
Inko Midoriya
Quirk: Energy Wave
She stores power in her body and can expel it in the form of energy.
Ren and Venus followed shortly after, with Ren taking the lead over his cousin only slightly. The two made their way through and gained on Inko, with everyone struggling as hard as they could, neck and neck they all made their way to the finish line. Crossing the line the race was over, the UA students were decided.

Elsewhere that same night
Inside a white laboratory was a single hospital bed, a white haired woman lying in the bed. Her hair cut in a stylish bob and dressed in a white hospital gown she lay sleeping, her breaths soft as two people monitored the few devices attached to her, a man and a woman.
"Oracle are you sure about this?" Asked the man, stroking his white beard, "She's still recovering from the procedure."
"Of course I'm sure," The woman replied, her simple ponytail swaying side to side as she directed her attention to him, "We've put too much into this to simply abandon it."
"I wasn't suggesting anything so rash Oracle," The man protested consulting his clipboard, "This is the first time we're trying a change so drastic, she might not react so well."
"She's a part of our new future," Oracle pointed out, her immaculately manicured nails tapping on her arm, "Wake her up."
"Very well," The man complied, tapping a few keys on a computer, "Commencing Project Rebirth," An amber liquid flowed out of an IV bag and into the sleeping woman's arm, her eyes fluttering open, "Introducing the world to Thesis, our goddess of creation."
A/N: Well guys I did it, I finished another chapter. We meet some of Class 1-A's powerhouses, Soratobu is a personal favorite of mine.
