Sighing in relief and laughing at Virgil's comment, nobody really hears Mum scream. Nobody, except Virgil. Soon, all the laughter faded, Virgil's smile became a frown. "Virgil? What's happening?" I ask. It seems that the Hood has found us all again!
"Hood, let her go!" Virgil and Owen yell as both their frowns become snarls as they rush to protect her!
"Never! You will suffer, Virgil Tracy! I know your mum is closest to you! Say goodbye!" Hood yells.
Suddenly, snorts, bellows, squawks and a very loud roar indeed, come from behind the Hood! Hood doesn't seem to hear them! "Virgil? What's happening?" I ask. Everyone stares at Virgil who whistles twice and smirks at Hood.
"Wait for it!" Virgil says. A few seconds later, 4 types of dinosaur appear from the forest! Yet 2 are herbivores, what are the carnivore and omnivore doing here? "OK. Owen, lead the Triceratops to attack from the back! The Diplodocus herd will attack from the left! Oviraptors, attack from the right!" Virgil commands.
"Virgil? Why is the Tyrannosaurus Rex here?" me and Alan ask, the clear terror in our voice mirror our oldest brother's face!
"Let me finish!" Virgil cries, "Me and Rexy here will attack from the front! Ready, Owen?" He asks.
"Ready Virgil!" Owen replies! "Your family really should move out the way though!" He adds.
"Guys! Get out the way! It's perfectly safe for me to be on Rexy! Dinosaurs, Are you all ready?" Virgil yells. This receives the deafening sounds of all the dinosaurs roaring, bellowing, squawking and mooing at the same time!
"Attack!" Owen yells and they do. The dinosaurs know what the Hood is. He's their prey now; it's his turn to suffer!
"Hood. I suggest you run!" I yell. Surprisingly, or not since he was being attacked by dinosaurs, he actually listened! Well, never thought I'd see my second oldest brother riding a T-rex but who cares? That was awesome!
The dinosaurs' eyes say it for me, "the hunter became the hunted!" I whisper to myself! "Good job Virgil and Owen." I yell. The dinosaurs snort at me as if insulted!
"And you girls too!" Virgil adds, stroking the 3 we were allowed to. But, as we stroke them, he strokes the deadly "tyrant lizard king!" I whisper to Owen and he nods. "I have the knowledge of all the dinosaurs!" I state, then become confused as to why everyone is laughing!
A/N: like I said in the previous chapter, the next chapter will be the shortest yet! John isn't a talker much and nobody talks much during Goodbyes, brace yourself for the surprise ending!
