Well, we are all laughing because of two things. It was these things:
1) Virgil has revealed his connection to Jurassic World accidentally, by getting the dinosaurs to attack! 2) Gordon has no dinosaur knowledge at all. He had googled it before we arrived!
"Well, this was exciting and a nice surprise too. But I'm confused about one thing." Scott states.
"What's that Scotty? The fact that Virgil is stroking a dinosaur?" I ask, seeing a smile appear on Virgil's face.
"No, that's just cool," he replies, "I'm confused as to how Virgil gets the dinosaurs to follow his orders! How did you do it, Virgil?" He asks, and all of us nod. It confused us too, at the time of the attack. Everyone looks at Virgil.
Virgil laughs for a minute. "Well, I used to work here at Jurassic World! As Gordon stated earlier, I left when the Indominous Rex attacked and broke free. But when it attacked me and Owen at the raptor pen, the 2 note whistle was exactly the same as what I did when it grabbed me. They began to notice that the whistle meant I need help!"
"Oh. That explains a lot really. So, where you Owen's assistant at the time?" Alan asks. Owen shakes his head.
"No. He was more than just my assistant. He was someone I got to trust. Someone who first taught me how to control my raptors" Owen states, much to our surprise. Virgil just nods and smiles knowingly.
"It's been great seeing you again Owen," Virgil says. Just then, the dinosaurs nudge him causing him to pet and even hug all of them. Hug a T-rex? And I though Gordon was the crazy one! I think, laughing to myself, confusing my family. "And you girls too, of course! But we have to go now. We only came for a day out together. It was just A Tracy Day Out!" Virgil finishes. Don't you love it when a title is mentioned in the actual story, readers? It is time to leave.
"Bye Virgil. I was surprised you came too!" Owen calls, Clare nods and we smile as Owen wraps Virgil in his arms.
"Bye Owen. See you girls. And I surprised myself. It is Alan's birthday though." Virgil replies, turning to Rexy, "Fancy giving us a lift back to the plane, girl?" He asks. The dinosaur nods. "Well, what are you waiting for guys? HOPON!"
We do and the view was amazing. Feeling the Tyrannosaurus' back was even more amazing! "WOAH! THIS IS AMAZING! I SEE WHY YOU ENJOYED IT HERE BIG BROTHER!" I yell, throwing my hands up and hitting Gordon.
"HEY! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE PUTTING THOSE ARMS! YOU HIT ME IN THE FACE JOHNNY!" my brother's grumpy voice demands. Well, it serves him right for all the pranks he does! We get home 30 minutes later, and a surprise 10 seconds after that! The surprise is a phone call from Owen Grady!
Here's what he said, "Hello my friends! The dinos want me to ask you something special!"
"What is it Owen?" we ask, barely able to keep the excitement out. Virgil smiles, probably already knowing.
"They want to know if you would like to work here! They especially wanted me to ask Virgil, but you're family. And something tells me it will be hard to get Virgil away from his older brother!" He gestures to our oldest brothers, who now stop play fighting, look at each other, smile and start laughing. Next thing we know, Gordon's in the pool! "What was that splash?" Owen asks, unable to stop smiling as Virgil and Scott return laughing. Continued next time!
