Chapter 80: Strangely Innocent

Jason's POV

"Jason, I need to speak with you." Bruce called.

I groaned. He always wants something from me. I walked down the stairs to see what he wanted.

"Dick and I will be gone for the rest of the week for a crisis that the Justice League is handling. And Alfred is in England taking care of his mother. I-"

Alfred's mother is still alive? Damn, she's got to be like a thousand years old!

"Jason, are you listening?" Bruce asked.

"Of course." I answered.

"I need you to take care of Tim and Damian until we get back. Do I have to remind you-"

"Yeah, yeah. Don't burn the house down, don't get anyone pregnant, no drinking and driving, don't spend money on useless crap or strippers, don't eat the dog, no downloading porn to the Batcomputer, don't let anyone die, don't kill anyone, no patrolling with the midgets, don't skip school, no parties, feed the brats, blah, blah, blah."

"Jason." Bruce warned.

"I know. Relax, I'll take care of them. You don't have to worry about anything. I promise."

Tim and Damian had fallen asleep in my bed while watching that stupid cartoon about those two stepbrothers that built random shit and they have that blue dog thing that runs around in a hat doing secret agent shit with a pharmacist. I dunno, I wasn't really paying attention to it.

I started channel surfing and I stopped on the news. The Justice League was kicking some alien's ass. It was awesome! The footage suddenly showed Batman stopping and leaping onto Superman's back. They both hit the ground. Something green and deadly was sticking out of Superman's back, while Batman fled the scene. The scene shifted to Nightwing who apparently tries to electrocute the Flash with his escrima sticks.

The camera cut to a reporter. "The Justice League has issued an arrest warrant for Batman, who was almost successful in the murder of Superman-"

I stared at the screen in shock. It wasn't true! Bruce wouldn't do that! It wasn't true! And Dick sure as hell wouldn't hurt anyone! Wait, if the Justice League wanted to arrest Batman and Nightwing then… Oh, shit!

My phone starting vibrating, breaking off my thought process. A number I didn't recognize flashed across the screen; I hear Dick's frantic voice come across the line.

"Jason, get out of the manor now! Take care of Tim and Damian! Don't trust anyone! It's stra-" Dick orders, before he starts screaming in pain and the line goes dead.

"Damian! Tim! Get up!" I yelled while turning the TV off.

"Todd! Stop shouting I'm sleeping!" Damian yelled at me, while Tim continued sleeping.

I scrambled off my bed, taking two protesting midgets with me. I dropped them onto the floor and grabbed a pair of jeans that were somewhat clean.

"Jay, what's wrong?" Tim asked nervously while Damian glared at me.

I paused. What was I supposed to tell them? Let's see, our Dad and brother are psychotic fugitives and the Justice League is going to come and interrogate us and possibly try to use us against Bruce and Dick! Oh, and Dick called. And I think he's being tortured! No, they would get scared.

"Go get dressed. And grab some extra clothes. Leave your cell phones here. I'll tell you what happened later. Okay?" I calmly stated.

I saw them exchange nervous glances, but they ran into their rooms.

I slipped the jeans and a shirt on, then grabbed some extra clothes and tossed them into a duffel bag. I reached under my pillow and grabbed my pistol. I ran into Bruce's office and unlocked his safe. I grabbed his emergency cash, leaving the credit cards behind. I then raided Dick's room. I knew he kept emergency cash under his mattress.

I met Tim and Damian downstairs. They had their stuffed animals clasped in their hands and a couple of bags beside them. I could tell they were scared.

"Jay, what happened?" Tim asked nervously.

"I'll tell you later. Come on, we need to get out of here for a while." I replied calmly.

"But, what about Titus, Franklin, Licorice, my bunny, and my cats?" Damian screamed at me.

"They'll be fine. They'll just eat each other if they get hungry. Now, go put your stuff in my car and get in the back."

********Break********

I parked in the garage of a safe house in the heart of Gotham. Punching in the codes, we entered the building, after I checked to make sure it was clear. It was our basic safe house. Small sitting room and kitchen combined. One door led to the tiny bathroom, the other door led to the bedroom. We opened the door to the bedroom and Damian and Tim scrambled up onto the Queen-sized bed, while still managing to hold onto their stuffed animals. The room had a bed, a small wardrobe, and a desk with a chair. Costumes and weapons were kept in the hidden closet behind the wardrobe.

"Okay, we might be here for a little while. The two of you should go ahead and get some sleep." I said, while taking a seat on the edge of the bed.

"Todd, I demand you tell us what has happened!" Damian demanded as I tucked the covers in around them.

I sighed. "I'm not exactly sure what happened, but Bruce and Dick are in trouble-"

"What has happened to Father and Grayson!" Damian yelled.

"If you'll shut up, I could tell you!" I took a deep breath before continuing. "Anyway, everyone thinks Batman has gone rogue and that he tried to kill Superman. There's a warrant out for Batman's arrest and there's probably one for Nightwing." I stated as a shocked expression crossed their faces. I was not going to tell them about the phone call, they were already afraid and I didn't want to make it worse.

"Why are we here?" Tim questioned.

"Because the Justice League is trying to find them, so they might come after us and possibly try to use us to force Bruce and Dick out of hiding."

"Do you think the Justice League would really do that?" Tim asked uneasily.

"I don't know. But until this thing blows over, we're going to stay here for a while."

"Todd, do you think Father and Grayson are alright? Do you think they're guilty?" Damian asked apprehensively.

No, they're not okay. "They'll be fine. And no, Bruce and Dick wouldn't try to hurt anyone. Okay, no more questions. Just try and go back to sleep." I replied sternly.

A loud thump was heard from the roof of the safe house. I glanced up at the ceiling and then turned to look at the two on the bed.

"Get underneath the bed and keep quiet! Don't move or say anything, no matter what happens!" I whispered urgently.

********Break********

Tim's POV

We did as we were told. We were huddled underneath the bed staring out at Jason's boots moving towards the door. The door suddenly bursts open and the room is flooded by a green light as Jason is forcefully thrown onto the floor right in front of us.

He gives us a warning glance meaning for us to stay quiet and not to move, as he is lifted by the light and roughly pinned against the wall. Green Lantern steps into the room and heads straight for Jason.

"Alright Todd, where are they?" Green Lantern's voice growls.

"Sorry Jordan, I have no idea what you're talking about." Jason replied mockingly.

"Where are your father and brother hiding!" Hal Jordan shouts at Jason.

"I'm an only child and the last time I saw my father I was about four years old. He's probably dead, hopefully." Jason replied sarcastically.

Damian and I are clinging to each other. We don't want Jason to get hurt. We shudder as we heard Green Lantern slap Jason. "Don't play games with me Todd! You know what I want!"

"I. Don't. Know. Even if I did, you'd never get anything out of me." Jason growls between clenched teeth.

"You're right, I'll never get anything out of you, but I might have better luck with the two hiding under the bed." Green Lantern replies, while a green glow lifts the bed into the air and another green light drags us towards them.

"Don't touch them! Leave them alone you motherfu-" Jason threatens before the light creates a force field around him, cutting off communication. We watch as Jason futilely beats against his prison.

Hal Jordan looks down at us and smiles. "Don't fret, boys. I won't hurt you. Just tell me where they are."

Damian and I exchange glances and shift our eyes to Jason and back to the Green Lantern before shaking our heads. Jordan immediately drops his fake smile and glances towards Jason.

"You both know that Jason Todd is a criminal, don't you? By law, it's my duty to bring criminals in for justice. Or I could overlook it for this one time. If one of you tells me where Batman and Nightwing are. If you don't, I guess I'll just have to arrest him and he'll probably receive the death penalty." He threatens.

We could see the fury and hatred burning in Jason's eyes as he strained against his prison. Damian looked at me for guidance, but I didn't know what to do. We didn't want to see Jay get hurt or worse.

"We don't know where they are." I reply quietly.

Jordan's eyes narrow as he replies, "Well, that's just too bad." He then reached out and grabbed Damian's arm with the hand that his ring resides on.

Big mistake. Damian immediately sank his teeth into the man's arm, while I knocked him onto the floor. He threw me off of him and into Damian. Then he towered over us.

"Bad move, boys. Now, am I going to have to tie the two of you up or are you going to behave?" he mockingly replies, before raising his hand which now is missing a ring. He goes into shock when he notices the missing ring.

"Looking for this?" Damian replies smugly while holding up his ring.

"Give that back to me right now! Or I'll-" his threat is interrupted by Jason who slams him into the wall.

Jason is extremely pissed. We can see his nostrils flaring, the anger burning in his eyes; the veins in his arms are visible as his hands are wrapped around Green Lantern's throat, strangling him.

I grab Jason's arm. "Jay, stop! You'll kill him!" I shout frantically. "Damian, do something!"

"Tt. He's getting what he had coming to him." Damian said, clearly bored, while trying the ring on.

Jason finally releases his grip and Jordan slumps to the floor clearly unconscious, but alive.

Damian's POV

We enter the bedroom of our new safe house, outside the city limits. It is exactly the same as the last one. I clamber up onto the bed, carrying Cuddles, my stuffed kitty. After having practically no sleep, I am exhausted. I slip beneath the covers as Drake slides in beside me. Todd takes a seat on the edge of the bed and tucks the blankets around us.

"Todd, do you think the other members of the league would hurt Father or Grayson?" I ask uneasily, while twisting my newly acquired ring around my finger.

"No." he replies; not wanting to scare us, yet I can hear the uncertainty in his voice. He's hiding something. And I intend to find out what it is.

********Break********

Jason's POV

I stayed in the bedroom until they fell asleep. I turned on the coffee maker and flipped the basic cable TV on the news, before crashing onto the small couch. No sign of Batman or Nightwing. I think back to my last conversation with Dick.

"Jason, get out of the manor now! Take care of Tim and Damian! Don't trust anyone! It's stra-"

I cringe when I get to the part where he started screaming. Why couldn't it have been me? Dick's the calm one who plans ahead and always has an answer for everything. And if I were in trouble, he and Bruce have always managed to find me. I have no idea about what's happening. I have no clue where Dick and Bruce are hiding or being held prisoner. And I'm not sure what he was trying to warn me about. And I'm scared that they're hurt or-

"Todd?" Damian calls over to me from the bedroom door.

"Hmm?"

"I… I had a nightmare." He says quietly.

I walked over to him and picked him and set him on the countertop. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked softly, already knowing what the dream was about.

He dropped his gaze to the stuffed cat he held in his hands and I noticed his lip quivering. "It was about Father and Grayson. They… died." he whispered quietly, while a splash of water landed on the cat.

Lifting his chin up, I wiped the tears from his face and met his deep brown eyes with my piercing sapphire eyes. Dick is the only one who ever seem to be able to get through to Damian and Bruce is the only parent that actually wants him. He's scared.

"Look at me, Mini Bat. They're gonna be okay... I promise." I said while giving him a soft smile.

He nodded. "I'm afraid." He whispered.

"I know, Mini Bat. I'm scared too, but it's gonna be okay. Nothing bad is going to happen. We're going to be okay, I promise." I replied gently, while ruffling his hair.

"I want to go home and I want my animals. I want Father and Grayson." He whispered, while allowing a few tears to escape from his eyes.

"I do too but, we can't go home right now… And they're going to be okay."

"Promise?"

"Yeah, Damian. I promise." I say, while picking him up and carrying him back to bed. I stay with them until he falls asleep.

Closing the door gently behind me, I walk over to the coffee pot and pour myself a cup. I hate the taste of coffee, but it's caffeinated and I'm exhausted. As I bring the cup to my lips, something collides with my skull. I fall into darkness.

********Break********

Damn! My head hurts! I open my eyes slowly to find the figure of Nightwing standing over me, smiling darkly. My hands are bound in front of me and my ankles are tied.

"Dick! What are you doing? Where's Bruce?"

"Shh. Timmy and Dami are sleeping." He replied, while kneeling and bringing his gloved finger to my lips; his touch is cold, like ice.

"Where were you?" I ask as he withdraws his hand.

"That's not important. I'm here now." He replied.

I thought back to our last conversation. 'Don't trust anyone! It's stra-' Stra… Strange.! Hugo Strange. He's the only one who could create something like this… doppelganger. This is not my brother!

"Where's my brother?" I growl.

"I'm right here, Little Wing." He replied calmly.

"Don't call me that! Only he gets to call me that! Now, where is he!"

"I'm right here."

"What did Strange do with him!" I roared.

He dropped his fake smile. "We should have known you'd figure it out. Grayson escaped and warned you. Don't worry, little brother, he was severely punished." He spat, while driving a knife two centimeters beside my skull, before taking out an escrima stick. He smiled darkly at me, while making sparks fly from the baton. "The master has given me very specific orders on what to do with you." He replied while drawing closer to me.

"Todd?" Damian called, while rubbing his eyes and opening the bedroom door.

The doppelganger turned its attention to Damian. I took advantage of the opportunity and kicked him away from me. I shot up and used the knife beside me to cut through the ropes.

"Damian, get back in the bedroom! Now!" I screamed as the doppelganger flew towards me with the sparking escrima stick.

He swung the weapon as I rolled out of the way and wielded the knife in a defensive stance.

"You're a bad little brother." he taunted, before charging me.

"You're not my brother!" I yelled.

I swung the knife towards him, but he caught my arm and painfully twisted it behind me, causing the knife to fall to the floor, while shoving me into the wall. I thought my arm would pop out of the socket. "You might as well give up now. I know every move you have and will perform. This is only wasting time. You seem to have forgotten that I helped train your sorry ass." He growled into my ear before releasing his grip and forcefully throwing me across the room. I slammed into the back of the couch and toppled onto the floor.

I've been up against the Joker, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, and other countless freaks, but this is different. I'd have to fight against my brother. No, he's not my brother. He has Dick's agility, his movements, his mannerism, his skill, his face, his voice, but it isn't him.

"You know, I've always hated you. You were the little street rat. The dumbass. The one nobody ever wanted. You always whined and complained about everything. You never learned how to keep your mouth shut. You were always getting into trouble and I had to come and save your pathetic ass." He replied while retrieving his knife and moving to stand before me.

"You're not him!" I growled while climbing to my feet.

"I am now. I'm an improvement. I have no weakness. I don't hold back."

He swung the knife and I narrowly avoided it. Grabbing his wrist, I twisted until he dropped the knife and threw him towards the wall. He flipped off the wall instead and landed directly behind me. Grabbing a fistful of hair, he slammed my head into the wall. Suddenly, my legs are kicked out from underneath me and I fall to the floor.

"You've never been able to beat me. You might be a little taller and weigh more, but that means nothing. All those times you thought you won, were because I let you. I felt sorry for you, because deep down we all hate you. You were our little charity case." He growled while slamming his weight on top of me. My arms were pinned underneath his knees.

This thing was stronger than Dick... Unless, Dick was always holding back during training. Soon, his hands wrapped around my throat. I couldn't breathe. The last thing I'd ever see would be my big brother strangling me.

"You are unworthy of everything we ever gave you and what wasn't gifted, you stole! How dare you try and steal my place! You took Robin from me! You stole it like the thief you are. But, now I'm going to take what's rightfully mine. Your life." he growled while choking the life out of me.

"Grayson stop!" Damian shouted fearfully.

The doppelganger looked away from me and slightly slackened its grip. I brought my legs up and kicked him off of me, before pushing myself off of the floor. I lunged for the double, catching it around the neck and snapping it.

"Grayson!" Damian screamed.

I looked up to see Damian being held back by Tim. They were both crying. Oh God! They think I just killed Dick. I stood up and slowly approached them.

"Stay away from us!" Tim screamed, while tightening his grip around Damian and backing away.

"Listen to me, I know what this looks like, but that is not Dick. If you'll just let me explain-" I stopped talking as Damian pointed my pistol directly at my… shoulder?

I glanced over my shoulder to find the doppelganger behind me. It seized my throat and slammed my head against the wall. My vision started to blur. Suddenly, the sound of a gun being fired was heard and there was no more pressure on my neck as I slid to the floor.

My vision cleared and the doppelganger was on the floor in front of me. Sparking wires stuck out from the hole in the robot's brain. I glanced over at Tim and Damian who were in shock. I climbed to my feet and walked over to them and slowly took my gun out of Damian's shaking hands.

"You guys okay?" I asked.

Tim nodded and wiped his eyes on his sleeve. Damian started to cry.

"I shot him! I murdered Grayson!" Damian bawled.

"Listen to me. That thing is not Dick. It's not him." I replied.

Tim let go of Damian and moved to inspect the double. I picked Damian up and followed Tim.

"Tim, be careful around that thing. Don't get shocked and die or something." I warned as he knelt beside it, completely ignoring me.

He reached under the double's neck and peeled the thing's skin back. Creepy. A metallic skull with wires and a bunch of technical shit lay underneath.

"This is probably the most complex robot I have ever seen. It has a memory holder, a retinal scanner, and the ability to think and talk for itself. It basically can copy Dick's entire life and personality. Fortunately, this machine has a transmitter. " Tim said, looking up at me.

"And that is important because…"

"It's important because I can track where the signal is coming from. If we track the signal, we can find out where Dick and Bruce are. In order for a robot to be as exact as this one is, the creator has to have spent time viewing the original's entire life. A lot of time and planning went into this machine. Someone is watching us." Tim replied while retrieving his laptop.

"How long will it take?"

"Not sure. It could take anywhere from thirty minutes to forty-eight hours… is Damian okay?"

I return my attention to the tiny assassin in my arms, crying into my T-shirt. Okay. This is not good. Damian's in shock. The Justice League is looking for us. I almost killed that prick, Hal Jordan. No one knows where Bruce and Dick are. And Strange wants revenge. He knows where we are and he could send another killer robot after us... Life sucks!

"You okay, Mini Bat?" I ask while pulling up a chair beside Tim, taking a seat and pulling Damian onto my lap.

"What if it had actually been Grayson? I would have killed him." he sobbed into my chest. He looked up at me with tearstained eyes and asked, "Do you think he and Father are still alive?"

"It wasn't Dick. Look, we're going to find them. And when we do, we're going to make the bastard who did this pay." I hissed before taking a deep breath. "Okay. There's something I need to tell you two. Before we left home, Dick called me and tried to warn me. But, we were cut off. I think Strange has him-"

"Who is Strange?" Tim asks, looking up from his work.

"Hugo Strange is this psychotic bastard that knows our identities. When I was nine, he basically bankrupted Bruce and kidnapped me and Dick. Strange got this idea that he was gonna be the new Batman. He built robots of Bruce and Dick. Long story short, Batman showed up to save me and Dick and kick Strange's ass. But, while Batman and Robin were fighting these robots, I kinda figured out that Strange was using this big ass computer thingy to control the robots. So, I unplugged it and I stopped all the robots, but I kinda also started this massive fire that Strange supposedly died in and now he's back for revenge."

"Then we kill him!" Damian snarled.

"No!" Goody two shoes Tim cried. "It's not right." He added before returning to his work.

"We could always vote on it." I whispered to Damian.

"I think I have a location." Tim stated.

********Break********

"Red Robin, you sure this is right?" I asked as I eyed the warehouse.

He checked his monitor before nodding. "It's right."

"Okay, we need to stay together." I stated.

"No. We need to split up. We'll have a better chance of finding Dick and Bruce if we separate." Tim added.

"I agree with Red Robin." Damian said before firing his grapple and grappling onto the roof with Tim behind him.

Did they just completely ignore me?

I silently entered the building. I'm really getting tired of criminals using abandoned warehouses. I crept quietly through the first floor of the building before coming to a locked door.

Picking the lock on the door, I pushed it open as anger flooded my emotions from the sight before me. Dick. He was on his knees. His head rested against his chest as blood crept down an open wound on his cheek and forehead. His hands were bound with blood stained rope and suspended above his head. Blood, bruises, and wounds covered his flesh as well as his torn and damaged costume.

"Dickie?" I breathed as I pried the gag from his mouth.

"Please. Just let me go. Don't hurt me anymore." he whimpered as he recoiled from my touch.

"Dick, it's me. I'm not gonna hurt you." I responded as I ripped my helmet and domino from my face and forced him to look at me.

"Jay?" he whispered as I reached up and sawed through the rope binding his hands together.

"Yeah Dickie. It's me."

He sagged against me as I lowered us to the ground. I could feel his blood soaking through my favorite jacket as I cradled him. He's cold. He's hurt. He needs a doctor. He's on the verge of losing consciousness… But, he's alive.

"Dick, stay with me. You can't-" I stopped short as something cold and metallic came into contact with the back of my head.

"How touching." A voice matching my own mocked as my reflection came into view.

"What did you do to him?" I growled as Dick shuddered before losing consciousness.

"What you've always wanted to do." My double replied as it lit a cigarette with its free hand. "We both know how much you truly hate him."

"That's not true! He's-"

"He's better than you. That's why we hate him." it stated before pausing to breathe in the smoke before continuing, "He always follows orders, he's always been Daddy's favorite, he's smarter, stronger, and he has everyone on his side. He doesn't care about us. The firstborn Robin. The first leader of the Titans. Future leader of the Justice League. Next in line to take up the mantle of the Bat… We hate him."

"No-" I began.

"It's time we stepped out of his shadow. We're stronger, braver, bolder. We could be the hero. We can take his place. All we have to do is kill him… We want him to die. He is nothing to us, but a weak distraction from accomplishing our dreams, our goals. The only thing standing in our path is him… Go ahead, snap his neck. Then we can take our rightful place."

I glanced down at Dick's limp form in my arms. In a way, I've always been jealous of him, but I don't hate him, he's my brother. "No." I snarl, hugging my brother tighter to me. "I'll kill you for what you did to him." I growl between clenched teeth.

"And that is why I will replace you both. Weaknesses must be annihilated. I am-" he began before a tiny assassin separated the robots head from its body.

"Todd, get Grayson out of here. Drake and I will continue on without you." Damian ordered.

"What! No! You two can't go-"

"We have no other choice! Take care of Grayson. We'll take care of Strange and find Father." Damian ordered.

"Be careful." I reluctantly replied.

Tim's POV

"I think we're going the right way." I stated as Robin rolled his eyes.

"Tt."

The two of us froze as our doubles appeared before us. Damian's double blocked my path as my double blocked Damian's path… I'm going to enjoy this.

Jason's POV

"Hold on Dickie." I whispered to his unconscious form as I carried him out of the building.

Damian's POV

I smirked as I decapitated Drake's doppelganger. It would be all too easy to kill him. I frowned when I noticed that Drake had defeated my own doppelganger… Could he actually defeat me?

"Come on. We have to keep moving." Drake ordered as I rolled my eyes.

We continued moving down a corridor, but we quickly froze as we heard voices up ahead. Recovering, we crept towards the rafters and peered down at the scene below us.

An enormous computer sat in the center of the room. But, that wasn't what caught my eye. Father. He was chained to a wall as a figure dressed as Batman stood before him along with a short, overweight, and hairy man in a lab coat. Strange, I presume.

"If you can distract Strange and the fake Batman, then I can shut down the operation." Drake whispered as I nodded.

"No problem." I snarled, drawing my sword.

Drake crept quietly towards the central computer as I made my way down below.

"You won't get away with this Strange!" Father snarled as the man laughed.

"I already have. The Justice League will have your head. Your children will all die. Gotham will become mine. You have lost-" Strange began before I flipped in front of them

"Leave. My. Father. Alone." I hissed as surprise flashed across their faces.

"Damian!" Father yelled as Strange ordered the robot to kill me.

I barely dodged its attack as I rolled out of its way.

"Kill the brat!" Strange ordered as Father struggled harder against his restraints.

"You were always the child I never wanted. You are a disgrace to my name. You don't deserve to call yourself Robin. Your mother never wanted you and neither did I. You're a pathetic, worthless, waste of space. You don't deserve to live." The robot spat as I dodged another attack.

Come on Drake! Hurry up!

I cried out as I was kicked in the chest by the robot. The kick sent me spiraling into a wall as I gasped in pain. I yelped as it grabbed me by my hair and dragged me over to my father.

"Let him go!" Father ordered as Strange laughed.

"Break the brat's neck." The man ordered as the robot's arm snaked around my throat.

"No!" Father cried.

I was suddenly released as I glanced over my shoulder to find Drake grinning wickedly behind the control panel of the robot.

"No!" Strange cried out as the robot seized him by the shirt collar before knocking him out with one punch.

"Father!" I cried as I worked to release him.

I soon found myself encircled by strong arms as I buried my face in his chest.

"You want me, don't you? Am I worthy of being your son?" I whispered, seeking reassurance.

"Of course I want you. And you are worthy. Don't ever forget that." He whispered before extending one arm out to Drake.

I rolled my eyes as Drake was also pulled into an embrace.

"Bruce?"

The three of us looked up to find Superman with the entire Justice League with him… Look who decided to show up!

Jason's POV

I pushed open the door to Dick's room and found him channel surfing before he finally turned the TV off.

"You can come in." he stated as I walked over and took a seat on the edge of his bed.

"You okay?" I asked.

"I've had better days." He joked as I took notice of his injuries.

"I'm sorry." I whispered as he placed his hand on my arm.

"It wasn't your fault, Jay. I knew it wasn't you." He replied softly.

"You know I'd never do anything to hurt you, right? You're my big brother and I love you."

"I know. And I'd never hurt you either. I love you too, Little Wing." He replied as I smiled.

"You don't know how good it feels to hear you call me that."

Bruce's POV

"I'm proud of the two of you." I stated as Tim and Damian beamed up at me.

I turned as Superman and Green Lantern stepped through the Zeta Tube.

"What do you want?" I growled as Clark rolled his eyes.

"Hal says Damian has something of his." Clark replied.

I sighed before saying, "Damian, give Jordan his ring back."

"But Father!"
