November 4 (Friday)

Luna was sitting beside Hermione at the end of the Gryffindor table, they normally would be at the center but Harry had left them early to chat with Katie Bell. Hermione was feeling insecure about it and she was worried that Harry had replaced them for better people already.

Luna just kept assuring Hermione that she was acting crazy and that Harry would never replace them ever. That no matter what happens they were going to be friends but Hermione didn't believe her, in the back of her mind everyone is just using her for personal gains and once they had gotten what they want they always leave her.

Like Fay did in her first year, Fay befriended her after Christmas, she was surprised that she stuck with her with all the bullying and only when the year ended Fay told her that she don't want to be friends anymore since her parents can now afford a tutor for her and that she no longer need Hermione.

Hermione was extremely hurt at that and that had scarred her. It even took a long time for Hermione to warm up to Luna and to fully trust her but that's because they were of the same status. The Outcasts of Hogwarts.

Luna looked at Hermione and saw that she is still worried and scared, she brought her hands to Hermione and told her "Don't worry Hermione." Hermione just nodded as a response and just continued eating her breakfast. She wondered why Luna was so care free and so sure about their friendship with Harry, unbeknownst to her, Luna and Harry swore an oath to each other when Hermione was avoiding Harry.

Flashback

September 15 (Wednesday)

Luna was on the forest grounds with a bag full of extra food she had gotten on the kitchen. She was surrounded by thestrals and she was feeding them the food in her bag. She heard footsteps approaching her and she knew who exactly it was. "Hello Harry Potter." She greeted.

"Ho- How did you know it was me?" Harry asked.

"The thestrals would be hostile on anyone that approaches me with the intention of harming me and since you're the only one besides Hermione that don't hurt me when they approach me." Luna explained, not looking at Harry but is petting the thestral in front of her.

"You're feet. Aren't they cold?" Harry asked.

"They are but I'm kind of use to being barefoot anyway. So it doesn't bother me that much." Luna answered cheerily and Harry just nodded. Luna stopped petting the thestral and threw another pieces of meat on the ground and she looked at Harry.

"You're different Harry Potter, wizards are usually surrounded by wrackspurts that affect their way of thinking but you………..You are surrounded by a similar species but of different color." Luna said

"That's great I guess." Harry said unsure on how to respond to that and a bit nervous since what she said is partially true.

"I'm sorry about Hermione, she really isn't used to having friends and when someone offer one she unconsciously pushes them before they can hurt them. That's all I can say about Hermione." Luna said on behalf of her friend.

"Thanks, I guess. I'm really here for you. I want to ask what kind of creature you're feeding to are." Harry replied which shocked Luna.

"You can see them?" Luna asked, in which Harry nodded in confirmation. "They're thestrals. They're creatures that can only be seen by a witch or wizard that seen death. People think they are a bad omen when in actual, they are very kind and loving creatures." Luna explained.

"And Beautiful." Harry added, getting near to one and started petting it.

"Yeah and beautiful." Luna repeated and offered him a piece of meat for him to feed one. Harry accepted her offer and quickly gave it to the thestral in front of him.

"You know, I thought you were just a delusional student when you were saying about those creatures you said on the train but seeing one that is invisible to others but only to us makes me think I was wrong to quickly judge you and for that I am sorry." Harry apologized while looking at her sadly.

"It's okay. I'm kind of used to it." Luna replied sadly "Although I really appreciate you for apologizing." Luna said happily.

"Can you tell me more about those creatures Luna?" Harry asked and Luna went on to talk about the creatures that she and her father believed. It was nearing seven and they were already very cold so they both walked towards the castle to grab some dinner, both separated when Harry had to use the bathroom and she just ate dinner alone in the Ravenclaw table.

After dinner she wanted to go to the library first to spend time with Hermione, although they don't talk while they're together but having a companion is better than being alone. She opted not to talk to her about Harry as it would sour the atmosphere between them and that she would let Harry just handle their friendship.

When it was nearing curfew she skipped on her way to the tower when suddenly she was grabbed and was forced into a closet. Then she felt a punch connected at her gut. "What's up Loony?" it was a male voice, she was looking at the ground while clutching her stomach to ease the pain when suddenly she felt her clothes disappear. Then she felt pain in her gut when a punch connected again, she fell to the floor, tears running down her eyes.

As if it wasn't enough, the man banished all her clothes leaving her hurt and cold on the floor and to rub salt on to her wound he spat at her and laughed. She cursed this cruel world, she questioned the deities about their cruelty to her when all she had done was kindness. She heard the door closed, and she hugged herself for comfort, to ease her pain and for warmth.

Luna was crying at what felt like a long time when the door opened "Luna!" she heard a scream from a voice she recognized as Harry. He closed the door for privacy as she was naked, he lit up the closet, took off his robe and jacket, put it on her and cast a warming charm on the clothes.

He lay down on the floor and sat beside her and hugged her. At that action, Luna cried her eyes out. She kept thanking harry over and over again and Harry just rubbed circles in her back to comfort her. After a while Luna stopped crying, "Come on, let's get you to bed." Harry said while standing up.

"No!" she said urgently with a loud voice. "I don't want to go to the tower. Please, let's just stay here for a while." Luna begged tears forming in her eyes.

"Okay." Harry replied and sat beside her on the floor.

They were in silence the moment Harry leaned on to the wall. Luna just rested her head on his shoulder. After a moment of silence Luna asked him

"How did you know that something happened to me and where I was?"

"Just had the feeling." Harry replied.

"Why did you come for me and helped me?" Luna asked again.

"Because you're my friend." Harry answered. Luna was touched by his answer, she leaned forward in attempt to kiss his cheeks and but instead she groaned because of the pain in her stomach. Harry noticed this and he performed a healing charm he learned at the Potter library on her to get rid of the bruise and the pain.

When Luna no longer felt the pain in her stomach, she kissed him on the right cheek quickly. "Thank you Harry."

Harry just smiled at her genuinely and said "No problem, that's what friends do."

Then another moment of silence ensues them. After a few minutes, Luna asked him if he could escort her to the Ravenclaw tower and when they reached the entranced Luna looked at him to say that's in her mind.

"I know that you are not the good person that you presented yourself Harry and that you are planning something big. I just want you to know that whatever your plan or goal is. I'm in. You'll have my unconditional support." Luna declared and then she quickly went inside the tower. Leaving Harry baffled on the empty hall.

November 4 (Friday)

The day after that assault, she and Harry investigated the broom closet which she was beaten up. Since Harry knew the spell that Aurors use to replay the event using the magical signature they identified her assaulter to be Terrance Higgs, the first of Harry's victims. She wasn't really shocked that it was him, he had done it before to her and Hermione.

After they identified Terrance Higgs, she and Harry had a private conversation in where they both swore an oath that they won't betray each other. After the oath was sworn by each other, Harry then proceeded to tell her about his goals for this world. How he planned to achieved this. He also told him about his power that is not from this world and with that power he would be unstoppable.

The two of them also started training their occlumency shields so that no one would be able to read their minds. The books weren't exactly a problem since the room can easily provide them of that. Luna asked Harry if Hermione would be included as part of his crew and Harry was uncertain of the answer. On one hand, having Hermione as a member would be a boost for them since she is unarguably the most intelligent witch in Hogwarts.

But on the other hand, she has a good moral compass and that he wasn't sure if she was going to be on board with their plan. He was right, even though the world had treated her like shit, she wouldn't be able to do the necessary evil that is needed to be done to achieve their goal.

But she was her friend and she doesn't like the idea of cutting her out of her life. But she shouldn't worry because Hermione's life is miserable as it is and that she would be waiting for the opportunity to seduce her to their cause at the right time.

The two friends were eating breakfast silently when they were disturbed by a boy with curly blonde hair. "Mind if I join you?" the guy asked and just sat down anyway. Hermione and Luna looked at each other asking mentally if any of them knew him.

"I'm Cormac by the way, Cormac McClaggen." Cormac introduce himself while holding out his hand to both of them.

"Hermione Granger." Hermione replied and shook his hand.

"Luna Lovegood." Luna followed after Hermione.

"Nice meeting you two. I just talked with Potter and he told me that you two are just friends and that there is nothing going on between you two because he doesn't fancy you. So Uhmm Ms. Granger, I was wondering if you'd like to go to Hogsmead with me tomorrow?" Cormac asked to her friend. Hermione was just speechless when hearing those words. She was hurt when he said that Harry does not fancy her.

She looked towards Luna for help who just shrugged as she was just confused as she was. She looked towards Harry and saw that he and Katie was having a good time and seems to be flirting with each other. In her jealousy and anger she said yes to the boy.

"Really Hermione? Why did you say yes to Cormac McClaggen?" Luna asked in disbelief when Cormac left.

"I do--don't know." Hermione said and took a glance at Harry and Katie again. "He's kind of nice and he is definitely handsome. And I want to." Hermione continued, her voice threatening to crack.

Luna looked alternatively to Harry and Hermione "Uh-huh. Whatever you say. Just be careful with him alright? Harry and I would really hate it if you get hurt." Luna told Hermione sweetly.

"I doubt that Harry would care that much about me." Hermione replied.

"You know what Hermione, just because Harry has other friends doesn't mean he don't want to be your friend anymore. He also deserves to have other friends too you know and not just the two of us. Get it to your head Hermione because if you don't, you're gonna push him away and someday he won't be coming back to you like he did last time." Luna said angrily and she stormed off leaving Hermione shocked.

November 5(Saturday)

Hermione was at the Hogsmead together with Cormac. She was looking for her best friends Luna and Harry. She wasn't enjoying her date with Cormac, even though he was a gentleman and was charming throughout the day.

She had seen his bad side too. He was arrogant, hot-tempered and condescending. Every word that came out of his mouth was a compliment to himself and his family. How they were one of the most respected families in the Britain.

How he would have beaten Harry in the tryouts if he was the one against him and Weasley, and that Weasley only got that far because his best friend is Michael, which Hermione totally believed but not the part where he could beat Harry.

She had heard the way the chasers were talking about him after they practice and if what she gathers is true. Harry is a better keeper than Wood. "Even though you think that, Harry deserved that spot. Angelina would conduct a fair tryout regardless since she wants to win the cup as much as Wood." Hermione said, they were at the three broomstick eating lunch.

"Please, he's a Potter. You know how much pull they got at Hogwarts. You should know, Michael had gotten out of a lot of trouble since Dumbledore didn't want to stain his golden boy." Cormac.

"But not Harry. Angelina, Alicia and Katie said he is just as good as Oliver so I think he does deserve that spot. And Harry hasn't done any trouble since I knew of him. He is not the same as Michael." Hermione argued firmly, Hermione was quick to falter if any mean things are said about her but she was strong and brave when that is done to her friends and family.

Cormac noticed her anger since he immediately changed topic. After a few moments between them, Hermione's temper went down she became more mellow. When they were done eating Cormac invited her to eat at Madam Pudifoot for a cup of tea.

Hermione tried to refuse, she knew of that place and its reputation. She reasoned that she needs to see Luna in a few minutes and that she doesn't want to be late. But Cormac has a strong argument. He told her that it was just a cup of tea and that they won't do anything there just to continue their date and that it was only for a few moments and then they'll leave.

He was relentless and Hermione agreed to him but with the condition that it was only for a few minutes and then she'll leave.

They entered the teashop and Hermione was nauseous at the sight she was seeing. There were many students that were in there that were on a date. Some were even snogging. They sat at the table and Hermione was really uncomfortable and had the urge to run to the door and just leave. She knew exactly what he was intending to do and she cursed herself by letting him convince her to go in this place.

She sat down and Cormac followed, he was a bit too close for her liking and she scooted a bit to give themselves distance, fortunately Cormac didn't closed the gap. A waitress approached them and wrote down their orders, Hermione just followed what Cormac suggested as it was the first time she was here and she didn't what to order.

Their orders were served and they drank together while having small talk. That even though there were snags in the date he still enjoyed her company and that he really likes her. Hermione was not listening as she was eager to leave as she didn't want to spend any more time with the douche.

After a while Cormac scooted towards her and wrap his arms around her. He gripped her shoulder which made her look at him and Cormac tried to kiss her, Hermione was able to block his lips away from hers and asked. "What are you doing?"

"I thought…… You know since we're in here that you know." Cormac tried to explain but his thoughts were tangled so he wasn't able to properly explain.

"I got to go." Hermione said and then dashed off. A few people snickered at Cormac and his ears were red of anger and humiliation.

He followed her to the door and when he catch up to her, he grabbed her arms and said "Wait, Granger. Look I'm sorry for assuming that. It was wrong of me to do so. Why don't I just escort you back to the tower and let's call it a day. Please just let us finish the date."

Hermione reluctantly agreed and both of them went to the castle in complete silence. It was eerily uncomfortable and very awkward. They arrived at the castle and it was also eerily silent. Many of the students were still in Hogsmead.

The younger years were usually at their own common room or at the library to catch up with their lessons. They were walking in a dark quiet hall, it was one of the secret passageways that a few Gryffindors knew. Hermione had plans to meet with Luna and Hermione who were hanging out in the lake or in the forest. She knew that Harry just finished his tutor session.

Cormac was pissed that he was rejected by her and he got her where he wanted, a place that is secluded and isolated. He took out his wand and casted a silencio at her, he grabbed her shoulders and shoved her to the wall and before she could speak, he forced his lips to hers.

She tried to push him away and he grabbed her arms and restrained her. In an effort to get free she kneed him in his balls it didn't hit but instead hit him at the join of his hip and leg.

He was pushed backwards as he groaned in pain but he didn't relent, he quickly recover and when he saw that her wand was pointing at him he side stepped and punched her in the cheek which made her fell to the floor and dropped her wand.

She started screaming and pleaded for help but the sounds were not heard as she was silenced by a charm. Cormac pushed her head to the floor with one hand and the other ripped her shirt.

"No one is going to hear you mudblood. Even if people were watching right now they'll turn around and ignore you because you're a pest." Cormac said maliciously, Hermione was crying and continued saying no and pleaded for help but voices didn't come out of her.

She was kicking the ground to boost herself and reaching her hands on the back to claw. Cormac grabbed both of her arms and gripped it to her back so he could place her on the floor. He then rested his knees on her legs so she wouldn't be able to kick him, Hermione screamed silently as the weight of his body was now on her legs and she couldn't bear the pain.

"You should be flattered that a pureblood like me is willing to dirty himself for the likes of you." then he forcefully pulled down her pants and ripped her underwear. He unbuckled his pants and pulled it down along with his underwear. He was about forcefully enter unto her sex when suddenly a spell connected to his back

Hermione opened her eyes to see that it was Luna and Harry that came for her rescue. Harry carried her through bridal style while Luna was fixing her clothes. They still didn't remove the silencio on her because if they did then her wails would be heard all over the castle.

They went to a nearby door where they came from, that Daphne was standing, it was a passageway they created from the room of requirement. They arrived at the cozy room where the three were having a meeting. Hermione was laid on the couch with Luna and Harry were comforting her while Daphne just stood and watched the events unfold.
