Bruce reveals his sons' hidden talents.

Chapter 109: Hidden Talent

Bruce's POV

Dick is the most energetic out of the four. He never sat still as a child… He still doesn't.

The only time I've ever seen him so still was on the eve of his parents' death while he was nine years old. They'd been gone a year. I found him at the piano that day. To my surprise, he could play. He was very skilled at his age.

He told me that his mother taught him how to play. When he was with the circus, whatever town they'd stop in, they would find a church and his mother would teach him a few notes and whatever songs she knew.

Yet, Dick never pursued his talent. The only time he plays is on the anniversary of their deaths.

Jason has never been one to keep his mouth shut. He's always smarting off or challenging anything that breathes. He even talks in his sleep. His voice would naturally be his hidden talent.

The boy has a graceful singing voice that even the Angels in Heaven would be jealous of. His voice is deep, calming, and if you happen to be a woman, it can be seductive. He only sings to his selective chosen group of people… for example his current girlfriend.

I've only heard him sing once for Tim and that was by accident. Tim is the only one that Jason has willingly sung for. It happened shortly after the incident with the Joker (I'm getting there. I'll finish the chapter eventually.) Tim suffered horrendous panic attacks. Jason's voice seemed to be the only thing to calm him down.

Yet, Jason doesn't sing. He refuses. He says his mother used to ask him to sing to her. To him, his talent is just another painful reminder of his past.

Tim's always been the smallest and the most innocent out of the four. He is also the most overlooked and underestimated… Which is why his talent is acting.

The boy's innocent expressions and thoughtful nature can often lead you to overestimate him. Tim is easily the best liar out of my children. He has often lied to me and I have never once questioned it. Perhaps, it's his use of his overly large and innocent looking eyes or it might be his sincere sounding tone and expression.

Tim is an extremely convincing actor. He always seems to be telling the truth. He has his ways of convincing people to do acts whether they want to or not.

Yet, he uses his talent to cover-up his true feelings. Tim always claims that nothing is wrong. If he weren't so good at lying, I might actually be more concerned.

Damian has the best memory out of the four. He can recall events from past years perfectly. However, my youngest is very reticent of his hidden talent. Damian recreates images and events by using a pencil. His talent is drawing.

The boy pays such attention to the tiniest details. What would be overlooked by most is immediately noticed by Damian. His drawings are so detailed; the images could practically come to life. He always has his sketchbook with him. He brings life to paper with just a few strokes of a pencil.

His favorite thing to draw is his animals. He occasionally draws his brothers, Alfred, me, or his friends. The only time he ever draws his mother is on Mother's Day. He never draws anything from his life with The League of Shadows.

Yet, Damian never allows anyone to see his talent. Perhaps, he feels that he isn't good enough. Only on my birthday does he allow me access to one of his drawings.
