Personal Entity Combat Suit User Manual Quick Guide

Created and written by Carl Jones

Use with caution and in an open space. Keep away from flammables. Do not point towards eyes or faces. Materials used in this product have been known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

Overview

The Personal Entity Combat Suit (PECS) is equipped with; two .30 semi automatic guns, two knives, capacitors, and steel rods that extend with a force of thirty pounds, four explosive rockets, several instant flares, jumping stilts, thermal, IR, and night vision cameras, a customizable HUD, onboard AI, personal A/C and heater, and radio communications. The power is supplied by several Lipo batteries, which are housed on your upper arms. The suit is entirely bulletproof, and a bullet proof vest is included to increase protection.

Setup

To set up the suit, undo all clasps on the exterior, and close them around your body. Once all the parts have been secured, put on the helmet and connect it to the usb port on your left shoulder. This will initiate the power up sequence. The suit will test all functions, excluding exterior functions, as they may cause unwanted damage to your surroundings. If any parts are disconnected, it will alert you, but the attached portions are still operable. Once the suit has checked the systems, it will ask for verbal authorization. The default is 5-3-7-7, but this can be changed in the settings.

Arms

To activate guns- simply hold your hands with your thumb pointed up and your index and middle finger forward. The gyroscopes embedded in the gloves and image recognition from the cameras will activate the guns automatically. To fire, tilt your hand back slightly. The barrels of the gun have been shortened due to space restrictions, but a barrel extension can be screwed on for improved accuracy. The arm holds up to fifteen rounds, and spare magazines are mounted on the belt.

To use rockets- Hold your whole hand flat to prime the rockets. To fire, quickly close your hand into a fist. Be aware that this may ignite any nearby flammables nearby or on you, and the accuracy of the rockets is very low. The damage is also low, and has a very low chance of killing or unless a direct hit occurs, and most buildings are not affected by it. Best used as an intimidation tactic. Spare rockets are not mounted to the suit, as they provide a target for enemies.

To use knives, capacitors, and steel rods-

To use knives, hold your hand in a loose fist, as if you were holding a knife. This will prime the knife ejection. To eject the knife, close your fist suddenly. Please note that the knife stays mounted on the suit, and is meant for piercing attacks.

To use capacitors, hold your hand with all five fingers forward to prime the sequence. To launch, quickly tilt your hand forward. The capacitor will stun a target for up to five seconds. If both capacitors are used at the same time, the target will likely become unconscious. The capacitors take up to ten seconds to recharge if used at the same time, or four seconds if used separately. Please note that the capacitor also stays mounted on the suit, and is meant for stun attacks.

To use steel rods, hold your hand sideways in a fist, as if fist bumping to prime the sequence. To launch, open your hand suddenly so that your hands are spread. The steel rods also stay mounted to the suit and are meant for breaking glass, blunt force, or demolition. Each of these items take five seconds to retreat into their slots, but can be kept out if you keep your hand in the launch position.

Accessories- in the same space as the batteries is a combat knife, good for throwing or melee attacks. Tucked under a flap inside the left arm is a small wireless keyboard that is connected to the onboard AI. In each arm is an auxiliary control switch. If the helmet is disconnected, the arms can still be used via hand motions.

Belt

To use instant flares- remove an instant flare from your belt and pull the pin. After a pause of five seconds, the instant flare will ignite, temporarily blinding all night vision technology, including yours. The instant flares included in the suit are not real flares, but are hobby rocket engines and do not produce enough light to see much farther than a few feet

To reload guns- eject the empty cartridge by pushing the red button on it, then insert a new cartridge.

Legs

To use jumping stilts- hold both hands flat and slightly tilted up. To do a quick jump or kick, tilt them flat. This will extend the legs for a second, useful for kicking enemies just out of reach or a quick jump out of reach. To extend slowly for running, tilt them so they are slanted down. They will take five seconds to extend and will stay extended until you repeat the extended motion.

Accessories- there is also a .22 pistol and an extra magazine in each leg.

Helmet

Cameras- to change cameras, tilt your head right or left to scroll through cameras.

Onboard AI- the voice commands are just like Alexa, except it responds faster and responds to the name PECS. It can search the web and activate different functions on the suit.

Radio- the radio can be activated by pressing the button on your right shoulder.

That should do it, I thought as I typed the last bit. I saved the document and printed several copies. One I kept, and the others I mailed to people who could help mass produce this product for the armed forces. I shut down the computer and picked up the suit from off the bed and took it down the hall. I opened the safe in the living room and set it inside neatly. I locked it and then rolled the faraday cages back around the safe. I didn't want the suit getting destroyed, I had spent almost my whole life making it. I was Carl Jones, and sixteen years old. I had just learned to drive and had been spending most of my spare time making the suit.

It was 10:00, so I locked up the doors and turned off the lights, except for my room, where I wrote a bit in my journal.

Day 0

I finished the suit today and sent the rough draft of the user manual to the people who can make it a reality. Today is day 0 because tomorrow is day 1 when I start something. I think maybe an intelligent attack drone or tiny all terrain spy vehicle. We'll see what I come up with next. See you tomorrow.

I folded the journal and put it away on top of the stack of twenty others. I'd started the journals when I started making things when I was seven. The PECS was actually my second project, the first being the AI in the suit. I still counted them as the same project though. I hopped in bed and went to sleep.
