Day 1 Entry 1

Something is coming. Something big. Something dangerous. It sits in the sky and waits before it makes everything stop. Once it makes everything stop, it will try to land something in the ocean- I think it's the ocean, there was a lot of water. It will try to land it, but it won't land, just go through the water until it hits the bottom. Once it hits, I don't know what will happen, because I woke up.

At the age of six the doctors said I was legally insane. The legal definition of insanity was 'being unable to discern what is real from what is not, ' or something along those lines. I knew I wasn't insane, I just saw things before others. I had visions of the future, or sometimes the past. It was hard to tell when the things I saw would happen. I had seen no calendars or watches while I was asleep, and the visions could be a few hours ahead or a few years ahead. I thought for a moment, then got ready for school.

I had arrived at school and was walking in when I noticed everyone looking at the sky. I followed their gazes and saw a green eye in the sky. I instantly knew that that was the something I had seen in the vision. I got back in my car, reached under the driver's seat and pulled out a .22 pistol. I put it in my backpack and went to school.

Day 1 Entry 2

It's here. They've arrived. There's a green eye in the sky, watching the whole world. I don't know long until they try to land or everything stops, but I'm starting to understand what I saw. I've also decided what to make. This Day 1 will be the start of a spacecraft. It will take a few years, and I think I'll end up competing with NASA for parts, but I have to try. I should get some money from the suit to help build it. I don't know what these aliens want, but I don't think it will end well for us.

School was buzzing more than normal, caused by the eye in the sky. The teachers didn't teach much, and a few even just showed movies. During the whole day, I was making a parts list for the ship. The initial cost just for the scaffolding and launch pad was more than I would ever have. If I could borrow a launch pad, and acquire an old ICBM, I might have a chance of modifying the missile to function as a one use spacecraft.

After I got home from school, I did the little homework I had and added a few finishing touches to the suit, mainly paint. Once that was done, I put it back in the safe along with a solar panel I had bought on the way home from school. The day progressed slowly, and the green eye was ever watchful. In the afternoon, the president came on the news to talk to the nation, reassuring us to stay calm, and then dove into his bunker.

Over the next few days, I was very careful. I kept my .22 with me at all times, and added a new protocol to the suit I labeled Imminent Capture, which could be triggered by a voice command. A week after sending the letters, I got the responses. Most of them considered it impractical and that normal rifles worked just fine, and grenades could be thrown with accuracy. I got one different response, who wanted me to come to a base to showcase the suit so that they could gauge its effectiveness and recommend upgrades. I accepted and reminded them that it was a prototype and very far from what I hoped would be the finished model, and changes were constantly being made.

Nine days after the aliens had appeared, I was on my way to a military base called Holston Defense, in northeast Tennessee.
