_ Hermione _
During the last six months, all my friends endured the change. For some of them, it was difficult and painful. Tom had a long and painful week, as he had to reverse the damage he had done to his soul. For Severus, it was easier, since he managed to lock his mind in a bubble of peace that allowed him to avoid pain.
I remembered the pain and the fire, but also, I could feel the ice refreshing my body, and my mates helping me to relax as they told me sweet things into my ear.
I was marveled by the clarity I discovered when I opened my eyes. I could see everything with my new eyes. To see all the details, I used to miss and new colors I could not name. The first time I saw my mates after the change was intense. I felt an intense need for them, I needed to feel them close to me. This hunger was even stronger than my thirst, so we spent two weeks in our chambers, exploring our bodies.
Aro, Severus, Caius, and Marcus passed trials every day. Many vampires came to seek advice, and sometimes, some of them must be judged for their crimes. It was hard for Severus, at the beginning to send a vampire to his death, but the brothers helped him.
I decided that I did not want to live in the tower, so I used to spend my days in the library with Bella. She was a good friend and we researched different customs of the covens around the world. we wanted to create a registry to make the trials easier for the Kings.
Sirius, Tom, and Dora decided to stay at the tower. They would enjoy their days reading and waiting for their mates to come in the evenings.
"Love" I heard Severs calling me, and I went to his side.
"Yes, my love"
"We need to talk," Aro said worriedly.
"What happened?"
"We believe that the Olympian clan is starting a revolution against us," Aro said.
"What did you discover?"
"A nomad came with a letter from one of them. He called him 'the Mayor'. Edward convinced his family that we forced Bella to stay with us," Severus said.
"Did you check the information?"
"I send Demetrio to find out. Albus resigned as Headmaster, saying that he was too young for the post. They are traveling to America to find out more about this," Aro said.
"Do we have informants around the area?"
"One of the members of the Denali coven used to be a member of the guard. I could contact him," Aro said, and I nodded.
"Could be a clever idea to send a message to our allies before they contact them."
"Marcus and Bella will do that. Caius is preparing some strategic meeting with the guard," Aro said,
"We need to prepare for an invasion. It would not be good for us to go meet them at home. They will be expecting that."
"Are you sure that they will come to us?" Aro asked.
"If we do not move, they will come. They will convince the clans to rally around them to free the vampire world of the Volturi dictatorship. If we do not react, they will lose the argument."
"I can understand why they called you the brightest witch of the age," Aro said kissing my hand.
"Which of the covens is the most important?"
"The Romanians," Aro said.
"We need to meet them here as soon as possible. I know that this will be difficult for you, but if we have them by our side, the other covens will follow."
I used the next days to research about the covens.
The Romanian coven used to reign over the vampire world until the Volturi arrived. They had a vendetta that they swore to fulfill one day. I needed to find a way to set up a truce between the strong head leaders. Stefan and Vladimir were the founders of the coven and the only survivors from the original group. Over the last centuries, they were able to recruit some vampires who were known to have interesting powers. The most interesting of the recruit was a little girl who could change her appearance at will. She could be dangerous to have as an enemy. If she could find her mate between us, we could use this to our favor.
The Irish clan was small. Siobhan, Liam, and Maggie. Siobhan could manipulate the outcome of a situation by visualizing it to go her way. Maggie could detect lies. Siobhan and Liam were mates, but Maggie was alone.
The French coven was small, Henri, and Yvette. We did not have a lot of information about them.
The Egyptian coven was the oldest. Amun, his mate Kebi, Benjamin, and his mate Tia. Benjamin had the power of manipulating the elements which makes him immensely powerful.
The Amazonian coven was composed of Zafrina, Kachiri, and Senna. Zafrina had the talent of creating vivid illusions which could be extremely dangerous if we did not have a shield in our coven.
The last coven, the Mexican, was the unruliest. Maria ruled over an army of newborns. It was wild and difficult to work with, but we would need to try.
Besides the covens, there were some nomads, but they could be difficult to find on time. They would arrive with the Olympian coven. Hopefully, they would see the truth.
"Love, the Romanians arrived," Aro said, and I looked at him.
"Sorry, I got lost in the book."
"You spent the last three days reading," Aro said chuckling.
"Sorry, I just concentrate on a book, and I forget the time."
"Severus told me about that. He said that you used to forget to eat. Now, you forgot your meals," He said giving me a goblet full of blood.
"Thank you, love."
"Come, they are waiting for us to begin the meeting."
