Chapter Two: Quirk 2

A more lighthearted chapter compared to the one before it. My attempt at writing more humorous content!

Quirk: Wolverine

User has a similar appearance as the Hugh Jackman version of Wolverine and includes powers and skills associated with the famous comic book and movie superhero.

Today was a time of peace and relaxation as all of Class 1-A and Class 1-B came together to enjoy their youth as heroes-in-training during these dark, turbulent times of strife and chaos. They ate and drink, laughed and played, and chat and gossiped to pass the time as it was still morning, which meant there was plenty of time to do whatever they wanted for the day.

However, there was only one person missing these activities, and that was none other than Izuku Midoriya – the one that had inherited One for All. Fortunately, before anyone would be sent to go get him, he was already coming out of the elevator with a yawn and making his way to the kitchen to get himself something to eat and drink.

"Morning everyone." Said Midoriya, stretching out his arms and then started scratching his face as it got itchy every now and then since he got out of bed.

Everyone had gone silent the moment they saw him, watching his every move as he walked to the fridge to get orange juice and raspberry jam for his toast. He didn't notice the stares directed at him, or if that he did, he didn't care very much with how exhausted he felt despite having more than eight hours of sleep. His body felt weird this morning, but he put that as having to do with the training he did the night before and was paying the price for it with a sore body and tired mind.

As he drank his orange juice that was poured into a cup and was in the process of getting his bread toasted to put his jam on, he sat down on a chair and just looked at everyone who was looking at him as if he had just murdered their family and the pets too. There was a difference in how he was being looked at as far as he could tell.

Some of the girls he knew from his class were drooling at him like he was wounded prey and they were hungry predators. There were other girls from Class 1-B who were giving him that same look, too. The rest would turn their heads away from him if he looked at them, face becoming flushed and muttering something under their breaths about studs and growth spurts.

As for the guys, well, it was odd as it was a mixed bag of reactions. Bakugo looked surprised and confused as he stared at him, something that Midoriya rarely ever saw even as childhood friends. Sato stopped mixing whatever was in the bowl in his arms, Kirishima seemed to be gawking at him while his eyes had some sort of reverence in them, and the rest were all just surprised to say the least.

"… Is there something wrong with me?" Izuku asked, wanting to break the awkward silence that started the moment he entered the common area. "Come on, guys. Is my hair more frazzled than usual?"

Mina would stand up and take a picture of Izuku with her smartphone, then walked over to him and showed the picture that was on the screen. Midoriya took a sip from his cup as he looked over the picture that she took, and then promptly spit out his orange juice away from Mina as to not be rude before returning his attention to the picture on her phone.

"W-W-What happened to me?!" exclaimed Izuku, and now looked over his body with hands touching his arms, chest, and head. "T-This can't be real!"

"Uh, dude, how did you NOT know until now?" Sero asked, many of the boys nodding in agreement.

Izuku shook his head frantically as he was panicking slightly and felt like he was in a weird dream that he desperately wanted to wake up from. "I-I don't know! I was just so tired this morning that I didn't even bother to notice until now."

Midoriya then slammed his head down on the table, making most in the room wince from how loud the sound was but Izuku barely felt a thing. "I hope this isn't permanent…"

"I don't know," Mina looked over the rest of Izuku's body that was all hunk and rugged, swallowing down her saliva hard. "I'm kind of liking this new look you got going on, Midoriya."

Many of the girls nodded in agreement as Mina gave pats to Izuku's back, but she couldn't resist rubbing her hands a little against his well-defined muscles. It was just her comforting a dear friend and for no other reason, there was nothing wrong with that, right?

Izuku groaned, "But I don't want to keep looking like this forever! Besides, this beard is just making me want to scratch my face constantly."

To emphasize his point, he was scratching his beard as he wasn't used to having facial hair. He shuddered at the thought of his mother seeing him looking so unkempt with the beard he had on him right now. The last thing he wanted to see and hear is how angry his mother would be with how he looked like a hooligan in her eyes.

"I mean, look at the bright side," Mina showed Izuku him his picture again with a mischievous grin. "At least we now know how much of a stud you're going to look like later on in life."

Midoriya looked down to hide his embarrassment, his face almost getting in color like Sato's red velvet cupcakes. For many of the girls, they just had rather less than wholesome thoughts and images of the now rugged, older looking Izuki in their heads which made them just as red in the face as Midoriya's was currently.

It was Kirishima's turn to try and cheer up his emerald haired friend, placing a firm hand on the man's shoulder as he gave him a thumbs up. "Yeah, dude! Just look at how freaking manly you are right now. It only means you're going to be a great hero in the future! Just lighten up and look at the positives like Ashido said."

At his words, Izuku looked back up at the two and smiled, letting out a sigh before laughing a little. "I-I guess that doesn't sound too bad. Though I wonder how I- "

Then everyone turned their attention to the sound of something dropping to the floor, their eyes now on Midnight who was, strangely enough, wearing business attire and had a box at her feet. Izuku could very clearly hear her breathing heavily along with seeing her eyes on him, and there was something in his mind screaming at him that she was extremely dangerous right now.

His body moved out of instinct, and before he knew it, he was already jumping out the window and making a run for it as fast and as far his strange new body would carry him. He could hear something was giving chase, but he didn't look back and feared that in doing so it would only make whatever was chasing him run even faster and more determined to get him.

The rest of Class 1-A and 1-B watched as Midoriya was running for his life from Midnight, and many of the girls were saddened seeing him go while many of the boys were taking bets as to how long Izuku could keep away from Midnight and out of trouble. Suffice to say, the day was going to be very interesting for everyone in the dorms.

A/N: Wow, another chapter posted so soon! Well, as always I hope you enjoy it! Perhaps I'll deviate from these little one-shots and do more 'continuation' chapters and such as time goes on and more quirks are thrown at the poor cinnamon roll, Izuku.
