A/N Hey guys! So this is my first fanfiction and I really don't know how it'll turn out. Hopefully you guys will enjoy reading this story. Feel free to write any kind of reviews, good or bad, it's okay. I'll try to make it a multi-chapter story, but it all depends on how this whole thing will turn out. CHAPTER ONE

It was a nice sunny day here in Honolulu, the sun was shining and the people all seemed so happy. At least that's what Danny thought. When he first came to Hawaii 3 years ago, he hated that pineapple-infested hell hole. But, he had to admit that he had started liking this place, but he would never say that out loud. He wasn't completely in love with it, but it seemed pretty nice to him. After all, he chose to come here for his daughter. She's the one who brought him to Hawaii, she was his life and he couldn't bear living on the mainland thousands of miles away from her. Danny never doubted his sacrifice to his family anyways, he would do anything for Grace.

It was around nine in the morning when Danny had showed up to the office. Everyone was already there and it looked like they were all busy with some paperwork. Their last case was a long and tiring one, but they managed to catch the "bad guys" as his daughter says. He couldn't wait for tonight, it was his weekend with Grace and he wanted this day to be over as soon as possible so that he could enjoy his weekend with Grace. Danny made his way to Steve's office.

"Good morning babe". Danny said as he entered his office.

Steve didn't notice Danny coming in as he was busy with all the paperwork. "Oh hey Danno".

"Hey listen, I have Grace this weekend and I just wondered if you'd like to come with us tonight to the movies." Usually, Danny would spend his weekends with Grace just with the two of them, but he figured it wouldn't be bad to ask Steve to join them for the night. He knows that Steve is like an uncle to his daughter, and Grace loved Steve so much and always enjoyed his company.

Steve was surprised, he knows that Danny prefers spending his weekends with Grace without anyone else joining them. "I'd love to buddy, but since when do you like other people joining you and Grace on a weekend together?"

"I will let you know that I still don't like that Steven, but I figured since Grace really likes hanging out with you, it wouldn't be that bad if you joined us. Plus, she really misses you."

"Alright pal, sure I'll come tonight" Steve said with a smile on his face. He was really happy that Danny invited him tonight to go to the movies with Grace. He didn't want to spend his Friday night alone in his house, so that was just perfect for him.

"Alright, I'm gonna go start the paperwork, I've got a whole mountain waiting for me" Danny said. With that, he got up and made his way to his own office.

It was almost six thirty when Danny had shut his laptop down and made his way out of his office. Thankfully, they didn't have a case today. It was a very relaxing day, the whole team spent some peaceful time together and didn't get in any sort of trouble. Danny always loved those days.

Opening the door to Steve's office, Danny said "Hey, I'm gonna go now and pick Grace up from Rachel's place. I'll call you when we get to mine. Do you need anything?"

"No I'm good partner, I'm leaving in twenty minutes" Steve said.

"Alright, see you tonight then" Danny said, with excitement. He couldn't wait to see his monkey.

Steve watched his partner, a man he considered his own brother, leave. He loved Danny so much, and he really thought of Grace as his own niece. Every time Danny has Grace and Steve joins them, it looks like they're a family of three, always happy and smiling. Everyone can see that Grace was Danny's number one source of happiness in this world. Steve totally understands why. More than that, Danny always made him feel included whenever Grace was around. That goes to all his ohana too. They all formed a relationship with her, and Danny liked it, because after all, he considers his Five-0 teammates as his own family.

Chin interrupted his thoughts when he entered his office, Kono by his side "Hey boss, Kono and I are done for today, do you need anything before we leave?"

"No buddy, I'm good, thanks. You two just take care alright?" said Steve with a smile on his face.

"Will do boss, you too. Have fun tonight, and tell us what happens, we don't wanna miss anything if you know what I mean" said Kono with a wink and a cute smile while Chin laughed.

At this point, Steve got used to all the marriage jokes "Don't worry, nothing's gonna happen" said Steve with a grin. He imagined Danny throwing his arms around ranting on those jokes and how tired he and Steve were tired of them, but it was also funny at the same time.

"Okay boss, bye now, take care" said Kono.

"You too" said Steve. With that, the two cousins left and he was alone in the offices. He had to leave anyways in about 10 minutes. He couldn't wait to see Grace.

Danny had already left Five-0 Headquarters. The thought of seeing Grace was really exciting him. He loves her so much and misses her. He was already on his way to Rachel's place when he went deep into his thoughts. He started thinking about the fact that he was so close from losing Grace, his monkey, his whole life. He thought of the fact that he flew almost 5000 miles just to stay close to her. And then came Steve. He honestly thought that if it wasn't for him, he wouldn't even know where he would be right now. In a way, Steve saved his life by making him his partner, working at Five-0 was better than HPD but was more dangerous. He's thankful though for his ohana. But, he still believes that Steve "kidnapped" him. Danny was driving carefully, as usual, opposed to how Steve usually drives, like a maniac, he thought. He was so deep in his thoughts he didn't even realize the van coming towards him at full speed.

He saw from the corner of his eyes something coming towards him. He then turned his head to his left and saw it. He didn't have enough time to step on the brakes. That was it, he thought, it's all over for him. That's when it all happened. The van came towards him, hitting the driver's side, full speed and full force. The Camaro flipped at least 2 times. It was all over.

A/N So? What do you guys think?
