Carla did not return back to the bar after her confrontation with Leanne. She couldn't bare it if she had another go at her. She was more sensitive these days.

She was more upset with Peter. She struggled to trust people as it was because of everything she has been through in her life but since her psychosis, it was particularly difficult.

Carla was in bed alone. She was feeling particularly vulnerable and was unsure as to why. All she wanted was one of Peter's famous hugs.

Peter was downstairs clearing the bar after the last customers had left. His mind wandered to Carla and what she was doing. He was tired after all the day's activities. Peter displayed a large smile on his face when he remembered this morning's events.

Carla could hear him putting glasses away, making himself busy. She got tired of waiting for him and made her way downstairs.

"Do you need a hand?" she asked him quietly, standing in the doorway, leaning on the door frame.

"No, it's ok I have it under control" Peter replied, placing a glass in the correct place.

"Great" Carla sarcastically replied and left the bar in the direction of the stairs.

"Carla, you can help if you want too" Peter called after her "I just didn't want to bother you"

Carla was going to ignore him, but she couldn't leave it with her feeling unwanted.

"Peter, I can help, it's not a bother" Carla said standing in the doorway "Johnny put us both in charge"

"I know that Carla" Peter placed a glass on the side and made his way to her slowly.

Now standing directly in front of her he asked "Have I done something to offend you?"

Carla rolled her eyes and left up the stairs.

Peter stood still "I take that as a yes" he said to himself, picking up the glass he put down so he could put it away.

Carla got herself back into bed and tried to drift off to sleep.

Twenty minutes later Peter had finished in the bar, he turned all the lights off and made his way up the stairs to see Carla.

"Carla" he whispered on entry to their temporary bedroom. She heard his whispers but chose to ignore him.

"Carla, are you awake?" He whispered again.

Peter sighed, undressing himself ready for bed. He snuck in under the covers, waiting for her to give him a sign she was awake.

She was laid facing away from him. She chose to move her body backwards into him, causing Peter to smile.

"I knew you were awake" he said quietly, placing his arm around her pulling her in close.

"I'm still not talking to you" Carla said, smiling but she just couldn't refuse his irresistible arms.

"That's ok, your body can do the talking" Peter smirked, snaking his arm around her waist. She smiled and then remembered she was mad at him.

She frowned and moved away from him.

"Carla, are you ok?" Peter asked, concerned about her.

"I am fine, we can talk in the morning" she replied.

"Ok" Peter said, turning over to go to sleep, worrying about his girlfriend.

The next morning Peter woke to an empty bed. He sighed, he couldn't work out why she was mad.

Downstairs Carla was in the bar, setting up for the day ahead. Peter wandered down stairs in his boxers and a t-shirt.

Rubbing his eyes he entered the back room, noticing that Carla wasn't in there he followed the noise coming from the bar.

"What are you doing up so early?" Peter asked her as he watched her putting the chairs down.

"Once I was awake, I couldn't drift back off again" Carla told him, with her back to him.

Peter made his way around the bar to Carla. He stood directly behind her.

"What's up Carla?"

She breathed in. She didn't look at him and replied "nothing"

"There is something wrong" Peter poked for information.

Carla spun round quickly so she was facing him "yesterday, you made me feel a bit useless" she told him.

"Love" Peter started but was interrupted.

"Let's work together today" Carla told him, she was going to mention Toyah but she didn't want to create problems if there weren't any. Yet.

"I would like nothing more" Peter replied, placing a kiss onto her forehead "I have another way we can do some team bonding" he snaked his arms around her waist.

"Oh really, Barlow" She paused smiling at him "you only have one thing on your mind"

"When I am with you, It is all I think about" Peter smirked, kissing her passionately.

The couple made their way back through the back door and clumsily up the stairs.

Once they reached the bedroom, Carla pushed Peter onto the bed. Peter, laid on his back, stared up at Carla as she began to straddle him. She bit her lip and began to tease him by removing her top slowly over her head, leaving her straddling him in just her bra and jeans.

Peter smiled, moving his hands to her breasts slowly. Carla laughed and batted them away.

"I'm in charge" Carla said, rocking back and forth with her hips grinding above his ever growing length.

"Yes, mam" Peter said with a salute, causing Carla to laugh. She pushed herself forward so she could place a kiss onto his lips. Still in just his boxers, Carla's palms were leaning on his bare chest. She placed a line of kisses on his chest from his mouth to the hem of his boxers, whilst positioning herself on the floor in between his legs.

Carla took his boxers off in one clean movement, to reveal his grown length. Carla smiled at the sight before her. Licking her lips, she took his length in her hands, massaging from tip to bottom. Peter groaned in response, obviously enjoying himself.

Carla then placed small kisses at the top of his length, before placing it in her mouth. Carla enjoyed pleasuring Peter, as she could see from the look on his face and the sounds coming from his mouth that he was close. She began going faster and applying more pressure.

"Carla" Peter called as he released himself into her mouth. Carla licked her lips, whilst swallowing his load. She then jumped back up onto straddle Peter.

Just then loud banging came from downstairs.

"Ignore it" Peter said, placing kisses on Carla's neck. Carla listened to Peter and continued fumbling around on the bed.

BANG BANG BANG.

"Come on Peter, I need to go and see what that is"

"I'll go" Peter said, getting out of bed.

"I think I should go, I still have most of my clothes on" Carla giggled "you may give someone a shock" she picked Peters t-shirt up off of the floor and put it on.

Sean was banging on the door, it was time to get the pub ready to open.

"Morning Sean" Carla said, opening the door.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to bang on the door but it's normally open by now" he told her, raising an eyebrow at her appearance. Carla answered the door in her jeans with one of Peter's white t-shirts on. Her hair wasn't groomed to perfection like it normally was.

"It's ok" Carla paused "I was distracted and lost track of time" she said coyly, trying to make her hair look better.

"I would be with that boyfriend of yours" Sean replied, giving Carla a wink.

"I am going upstairs to get ready, you ok to start up without me"

"Yes, we can't have the punters seeing you like that, can we?" Sean smiled at her.

"Thanks Sean" Carla said on her way back up the stairs.

Carla explained to a still naked Peter that it was Sean.

"Come here then" Peter requested, whilst laying on the bed.

"No, Peter" Carla said, standing in the doorway, far enough away from Peter, so she couldn't get distracted again.

Peter just laughed at her "Ok, go get ready"

Carla made her way to the bed slowly, placed a kiss onto his forehead and then headed towards the bathroom.

Half an hour later, Carla had showered and was ready for the day, she didn't want to leave Sean alone for too long.

Peter was still distracted by Carla.

"You need to get ready" Carla demanded as she entered the bedroom, glancing at Peter laid on the bed with a towel around his waist.

"You look amazing" Peter charmed, smiling at her. She had her tight black skinny jeans on with a scarlet satin shirt tucked in. Her makeup was classy and her natural hair fell to below her shoulders.

"Thank you, but now you need to get dressed" Carla said, picking up an earring off of the bedside table. She began to place it in her ear as Peter grabbed her wrist, pulling her down onto the bed in a seated position.

Peter rose to his knees to give her a kiss. Carla let him. The kiss was passionate but loving at the same time.

"Peter.." Carla said, taking a breath. She pushed him away with her hand on his chest "We have a pub to run"

"So" Peter said leaning in for another kiss but instead found Carla's finger on his lips.

"We can not make them go bankrupt under our care" Carla told him.

"I'd blame you, for looking so good" Peter replied, winking at her.

"I am going to go down and help Sean, please get dressed and join us when you are ready, we have a job to do"

"You do have a job to do" Peter said with a wink "you can finish off later"

Carla just shook her head with a cheesy grin on her face. She was glad that Peter still fancied her the way he had always done. He had seen her at her worst, so for him to still be obsessed with her, made her feel good.

Down in the bar, it was business as usual.

"Looking good" Sean said as Carla entered the bar.

"Thank you so much for this morning Sean" Carla said "It will not be happening again"

"It's ok, anything for love" Sean replied before tending to a customer.

Peter emerged not long after Carla did. He was dressed in his jeans and a black t-shirt. The day went smoothly for everyone involved, until teatime.

"Good evening, what can I get you" Peter asked Toyah, who was standing at the bar. She walked in with Leanne and Nick. Again.

Carla watched from the booth she was wiping over. She was collecting glasses.

"The usual please" Toyah answered him "How has it been here today?" she asked.

Peter was engrossed in a conversation with Toyah, that he didn't even notice Carla watching him.

"Peter, we need to talk about Simon" Leanne called from the table she was sitting at with Nick.

"Do you have to invite him over?" Nick asked Leanne.

"He needs to help with Simon" Leanne said "he can't just live here and live the life of riley"

"Yes but he has got things to look after" Nick said gesturing towards Carla. Nick has always cared for Carla since they were together. Although he didn't like how the factory was handled, he has always cared for her.

"She is not his only priority" she sniped back at him, rolling her eyes.

Peter came out from behind the bar "I'll help you with their drinks"

"Thanks Peter" Toyah said gently.

Carla made her way behind the bar. Still watching Peter.

"Everything ok Carla?" Sean asked, noticing the direction of her stares.

"Yeah, I'm fine" she lied. She couldn't help but feel sad when she looked at Peter helping Toyah to the table and sitting with Leanne. She knew it was stupid but she couldn't help it.

Peter sat with them for about twenty minutes. He noticed Carla walking past every now and again, not because she was making her jealousy known but because Peter couldn't get her out of his mind.

After their conversation came to a natural end "I need to get back to work but you send Simon over to me when you need too" Peter said to Leanne.

Peter rejoined Carla behind the bar. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her on the back of the head. Carla smiled and leaned into him "I love you" he told her.

She needed to get over this jealousy, Peter loved her.

"I love you too" Carla replied.

Toyah was watching, she still loved Peter. She knew the only reason he left her was because she lied about Suzie, not because he didn't love her.

Carla turned to Peter. She kissed him on the cheek and made her way to the bathroom.

Toyah and Leanne both went to the toilet, leaving Nick at the table.

Carla was in a toilet booth, unknown to the Battersby women.

"She doesn't deserve that man" Toyah said to Leanne.

"Who are you talking about?" Leanne asked.

"Carla and Peter"

"Not this again, Toyah you have to let him go" Leanne told her "He loves Carla, as much as I hate to admit that, he does and always has"

"No, the only reason he left me was because I lied to him"

"To be honest Toyah, he probably would have left you for her anyway"

"That's harsh, Leanne" Toyah said angrily.

"He deeply loves her and always has, you need to move on"

"Like you did"

"I did, even when she got with Nick, I moved on because that's what you do when someone doesn't want you"

"I suppose"

"Toyah move on" Leanne warned, as the women finished in the bathroom and left.

Carla emerged from the cubicle. She knew it, she could always tell when a woman fancies a man, because she knew the look. But this came down to whether or not she trusts Peter.
