Chapter one

Kagome let out a sigh as she packed her suitcase, wincing when she heard Sesshomaru slamming the cabinet door closed in the kitchen. She knew that the demon wasn't happy with her decision, but she was excited for the opportunity that had been presented to her. To think, a whole other world of magic users to explore-

She blinked in surprise as a graceful, beautiful man stretched out across her bed suddenly, his glowing green eyes peering into the suitcase curiously. Crimson hair flowed down his back in a manner similar to Sesshomaru's original style, though a tad bushier. A deep red fox tail wagged behind him happily as he grinned at her.

"Shippo, shouldn't you be packing too?" Kagome asked, hands on her hips as she gave him an amused look.

The man pouted at her, before grinning again, reaching into the suitcase to pull out a lacy pink scrap of cloth. She went beet-red as she snatched it from his hands, earning a chuckle from the fox demon. He gave her a wink, before he slipped out of the room silently, supposedly to do his own packing.

It had been five years since she had been back in her original timeline, and the demon pair had found her, bloody but triumphant at the bottom of the well after Naraku's defeat. Since then, the two hadn't left her alone hardly at all. They had explained it as their demons being 'fascinated' with her soul or power. She wasn't entirely sure which one it was, seeing as the Shikon's power had fused with her soul at the end of the final battle. She hadn't noticed an increased power boost, but then, the pair hadn't given her any excuse to need to defend herself.

Two years after she'd been back to stay, she had moved in with the two men, something her grandfather wasn't all that pleased about. The demons had been living separately, but had gotten into a vicious sparring match over who would get to ask her to live with them. After Shippo had held his own against the killing perfection, they had compromised. They moved in together and basically moved Kagome into their manor without giving her much choice. Not that she would have complained, considering that she spent enough time at both of their houses to be practically living with one or the other anyways.

It was also at that point that both men began to pursue her romantically in earnest. She hadn't fought Sesshomaru off too much by that point, after all, she had been over Inuyasha's tangled love for years by then. But Shippo had needed to seduce her, literally. She'd had a difficult time separating the idea of the small boy she knew with the grown man who was attempting to court her. He had needed to display his bare body in front of her many times before she'd really begun to see that he wasn't a kid anymore, and hadn't been for roughly four hundred years, according to Sesshomaru.

The dog demon hadn't said anything about the fox's pursuit, in fact, he had encouraged her to give into the other man's temptation, puzzling the woman. Finally though, they had settled into a 'normal' routine. Most nights they went to bed in the same bed, though often Sesshomaru was awake and gone before the other two even started to rouse. On weekends, they all slept in together, and took turns cooking the day's meals.

It was a comfortable, happy arrangement. Kagome cherished it, and didn't want to upset the delicate balance that they had, but the position she had been offered gave her a thrill she hadn't felt in five years. She suspected that the two men would feel it as well, once they were immersed in it.

But right then, Sesshomaru was very much not feeling it.

"I cannot believe you are willing to uproot everything we've built for ourselves, to flit off to some wizarding society," the demon growled in the other room, her sensitive ears still picking up the vocalization. She inhaled a deep, calming breath, before wishing for a certain enchanted necklace.

"We've talked about this. You do not have to leave the company in Inuyasha's care. You can stay, and simply visit me when you want. It's all of ten minutes travel time for you with your orb thingy," Kagome replied, her voice at a normal volume.

She zipped the suitcase, and hauled it into the living room, where Sesshomaru and Shippo waited, bags at their feet. Shippo bounced on his feet excitedly, but the silver-haired demon just looked back at her sullenly.

"The useless whelp will burn my corporation to the ground," Sesshomaru muttered, exhaling through his nose. His hair remained the same length as when she had met him, but it was pulled back into a professional ponytail at the name of his neck, his bangs covering his eyes a little. He cut an impressive figure in his armani suit, though she did miss his markings that he hid when they were leaving the house.

"He's been managing the company for thirty-five years, Sess. I hardly think he'll ruin a good thing now. He likes his gourmet ramen too much to do that," Shippo snickered. His ears were rounded and his tail hidden away, just like Sesshomaru's demon heritage.

Though they appeared human, they still looked utterly ethereal to Kagome's eyes. And the rest of the world, if the magazines proclaiming them top bachelors were to be believed. While Inuyasha ran the company Sesshomaru owned, the elder brother was still the face of it. And Shippo had his own line of clothing that he designed, putting him in the spotlight as well. Apparently, 500 years of knowing how to draw with crayons and paper had given him an edge as a designer.

Unfortunately-in Kagome's eyes- she was also considered a 'most eligible' person. Shippo had begged Kagome to model his clothing for an entire year before she had finally given in and appeared on the runway for him. Thankfully, the fox demon had sheltered her from the dark side of the industry, refusing to allow her to be dragged down by the plethora of insults and criticism rampant in his career field. She wasn't sure she would have been able to work for him otherwise- while she was fairly confident in her looks now, years of degradation from a certain half demon made her pretty susceptible to the negativity, if exposed to it enough. Sesshomaru called it 'victim mentality', though she hated the phrase.

Kagome skipped to the car excitedly, rushing past the slowly moving dog demon with Shippo close behind her. The golden-eyed male gave her a reluctantly amused look, before sighing.

"Hogwarts has no idea what they just invited into their world."
