He could smell the very blood in her veins, its sweet aroma wafting around him, enticing him to take a bite. His fangs elongated in his mouth as he began to salivate, his minds eye picturing her under him in the throes of passion, her head tossed back and her neck bared to him.
Inviting him.
Around him the families fidgeted, no doubt taken in by her lovely scent. It irked him and with a dark growl he flared his aura making them fall back. She narrowed her deep blue eyes at him and he grinned, tipping his hat to her.
"...what's a tasty morsel like yourself doing here?" He eyed the deserted desert around them, far from the 'protection' of the towns walls.
She physically bristled, her shoulders pulling back as she stood to her full height. She had to be a modest five foot five maybe six. Small and yet he could sense her powers hidden under her skin. They felt odd yet familiar at the same time. Reminding him of his time as a priest in his human life...yet different.
"My name is Kagome and the town hired me to deal with you and yours." She jabbed her chin out at the hoard of familiars behind him and he couldn't help but to chuckle at her defiant glare.
"Oh, well then Ms. Kagome. Let us get down to business." With that he gestured for them to attack. He hung back and grinned as she pulled out a bow and arrow, notching it like it was second nature. It was with wide eyes that he watched her arrow turn into an arch of light and take out a large chunk of his forces.
The odd light made the fine hairs on his body stand up as a grin took over his face, his body slightly shaking in anticipation. Oh, this was new...
