Chapter 7

Their last year in high school was a memorable one, to be honest. Eren and Levi were still as thick as thieves, were one was the other was not that far behind, the two of them still wear the illusion of them dating, gaining the title of high school sweethearts which always made Eren and Levi joke and laugh about it usually ends with the rest of their friends being confused, but for Levi and Eren the two of them dig it up as they say.

A lot of things had changed when Levi and Eren reached their senior year, some of them were amazing, and some were just annoying, and some… let's just say they wanted to forget some of it. As you have it the group of friends stayed tightly knitted even after years of high school, making Eren glad to be a part of loyal and loving friends, especially when Levi told him they all had known each other since elementary school.

In Eren's last year of high school, Mikasa, Armin, and their friends started their freshmen year of high school, and as luck would have it, they always followed Eren around the school like ducks making the rest of their friends laugh at Eren as he was usually walking around the school shooing them away, they never left Eren always babbling about continuing Eren's legacy of protecting the LBGTQIA community from bullies. It made Eren sigh and shook his head at them but in the end, he let them do as they liked, giving them tips when he sees it was needed, about the group not only protecting only specific people from bullying but protecting everyone in need. Everyone listen to Eren like he was a God laying the laws of the universe when he says something to the younger generation, it made Levi joke about praying to Eren when his sister becomes a little shit.

In their last year Petra and Oruo start dating, the older teen had finally get the courage to confess to Petra after years of crushing hard on her, their friends congratulated them on finally getting together, everyone laughed when Oruo fainted after Petra kissed his cheek, not long after the two of them became couple Erd and Gunther also start dating making Hanji jump happily, something about Yaoi finally ruling? The only one who understood her was Eren who growl at the woman to stop being crazy.

For Hanji and Mike, the two of them were still dating, and to top it Mike proposed to Hanji on her eighteen birthday making Eren look at the huge man with a strange look in his eyes, muttering something about finally getting rid of Hanji craziness, though that did not stop Eren from threating Mike with death if he hurt his sister… it was the scariest 'If you hurt her you are dead' speech, by the end of it Mike… the big, fearless man, Mike… was sobbing like a little girl hiding behind Hanji who was trying to calm her fiancé, even Han and Jenny took a pity on the man and decided to give him their speech later as the older man was having a meltdown in their living room, Levi was trying so hard to stop himself from bursting into laughter as he was trying and failing to scold Eren who was looking smug as fuck.

All in all everything was good in their lives, other than Eren growing as tall as a tree standing as tall as five feet eight inches, making Levi glare and growl at his friend who was still growing leaving him to stay at the height of five feet three inches, Eren was used to Levi glaring at him when Eren looked down on his short friend, the two of them still had a strong relationship as ever, strange in everyone's eyes, but simple in theirs.

Everything was good, but Eren still felt like Levi was cracking under the pressure every time someone from their friends mentioned their graduation, so, in the end, Eren because he could fell that the pressure was suffocating Levi… Levi who wanted to be an artist, not a businessman like his father, or wanting to inherit the company from their father, but Mikasa also didn't want to go into business, she wanted to study sport science and Levi didn't want his little sister to be forced to do something she doesn't like, so that made Levi kept his head down and accept being the next in line to inherit the company. In the end, Eren get the courage to go and talk with Kenny, Eren knows that the older man didn't mean it with his actions, but they were driving Levi mad, and Levi didn't want to disappoint his father so he kept his mouth shut.

Eren made sure to come on a day he knows that Kenny was in the house, Levi was out with his mother and sister shopping for a gala Kuchel and her husband were invited to, Eren having the keys to the Ackermans' home, courtesy of their parents being best friends.

So Eren walked until he reached Kenny's office and knocking on the door, he waited a little before opening the door and getting inside making Kenny look up raising his brow as he saw Eren. "Eren? What are you… it doesn't matter Levi is out with Kuchel and Mikasa, you can wait for them in the living room." Kenny told Eren returning to his paperwork making Eren clear his throat.

"Actually I wanted to see you; I wanted to talk to you about something important," Eren said making Kenny blink at that and look at Eren who took a seat in one of the chairs near Kenny's desk.

"Ok…?" Kenny muttered feeling like he was being on the end of interrogating by his son's boyfriend? He never knew the real relationship between the two; they could go from arch enemies to a married couple in a blink of an eye.

Eren nod as he saw Kenny's attention on him and cross his arms over his chest. "The thing is Levi wants to be an artist, so I came here to make a deal with you," Eren said making Kenny scowl and raise his eyebrow at Eren.

"And why didn't my son come to me to talk about this, exactly?" Kenny questioned making Eren look at the older man tiredly and sigh.

"Because he is afraid…" Eren said making Kenny pause a little at that and look at Eren with a strange look waiting for the kid to continue with his explanation. "He is afraid that you will be disappointed or worse that you will try to force Mikasa to the next to inherit the company, his fear makes him irrational, so I decided to cut the chess and talk with you directly, I will even make you a deal," Eren stated making Kenny hum at what the boy told him and put his elbows at the desk.

"What kind of a deal?" Kenny asked leaning back on his chair, he never noticed that his son was afraid to tell him about his opinion in his future, it stings a little that his son's best friend had to come and talk to him about the matter, he promised himself that he was going to talk to Levi tonight, he can't let his son still be afraid of him just because he feared speaking up and making Kenny disappointed.

"You will allow Levi to study art in any college he choose with you paying of course; in exchange I will study economy and business at any prestige university you want, and in the end, if you want, I will come to work for you," Eren stated making Kenny raise his brow at that looking at Eren who had a determent face.

Kenny didn't know why but he starts laughing at that making Eren growl at him which ends up with him laughing more, when he calmed down he looked at Eren who was sending him death glares, making Kenny smirk at that. "Why you surprised me, kid, didn't you plan something for the future other than business… say marine life? If I remember your dad said something about you wanting to be a professor, what changed your mind?" Kenny asked wanting to know what Eren was going to tell him, he could already see that Eren was going to be a successful businessman with his determent attitude and smarts, but does he have the motivation that his son lacks? And why will he sabotage his life for a friend... unless... Kenny's eyes shine at the revelation.

Eren looked at Kenny in the eyes and Kenny had to give it to the kid for not flinching like any other teen his age. "The same reason we are here," Eren stated making Kenny pause at the answer humming for Eren for continuing. "It's simple I no longer have any interesting in marine life or anything of that sort, my interest vanishes years ago," Eren stated making Kenny tilts his head to the side in wonder. "That left me with no interest or a career to pursue, I am not interested in being a doctor like my uncle, nor a professor like my sister and politics does a little to interest me, so that left one thing…." Eren gazed at Kenny with narrow eyes making Kenny look at him with a strange look in his eyes, but a smile took over Kenny's face and he shook his head.

"So you are drifting…" The older man mutters to himself making Eren narrow his eyes trying to understand what Kenny whispered under his breath. "I will tell you this; you will make a good businessman… I accept your deal." Kenny said making Eren bit his bottom lips to stop himself from grinning like a manic. "But… you have two months until graduation, and you gave me the choice of choosing the university I wanted to you to study in so… you can choose either MIT or Harvard those are the only universities I am interested in, if you can get in one of those two then we have a deal." Kenny said as he stood up extending his hand to Eren, he didn't tell the brat that he already promised himself that he was going to talk with Levi and that even if Eren failed in their deal it wouldn't matter… but it would be fun to see what the brat was willing to do for his son…

Eren stood up and took Kenny's hand in a firm grip making the older man's lips twitch up. "Deal…" Eren said letting go of Kenny's hand after he heard Mikasa and Kuchel's voice downstairs. When Eren heard Levi's voice his face broke into a grin as he runs out of the office making Kenny follow the boy slowly.

From the top of the stairs, he saw Eren hugging Levi tightly, laughing and telling Levi about him being able to study art, the shock on his son's face and the smile he saw after as his son jumped around the place hugging Eren tightly made him hum…

Eren gains Kenny's respect that day…

The next two months were hell for Eren as the teen was studying every waking hour he had, he was genius he knows he can ace the exams with high scores but still, Kenny offered him only two choices MIT or Harvard, both are in America away from their home Eldia island or empire as the foreigners liked to call it. So, in the end, Eren took the graduation exams earlier than everybody else and ace it, so Eren was left to study for College Entrance Exams.

Han and Jenny already knows about their adopted son dream of entering MIT or Harvard, the two of them were happy to see that their son had found his motivation again, even if it meant that he had to change his dream for someone or so it seems, as Kenny talked with them two months ago about the deal Eren made with him and about his detection of Eren's mental and emotional state, they were concern, until they saw how Eren's eyes sparkled when he starts reading and preparing for his exams, they just hoped that their son didn't do something that he will regret,

Levi and Hanji wanted to be there to help Eren but they also had their finals that were approaching soon. So Eren and his mother Jenny left for USA after his graduation from high to take the exams early, it was nerve raking and Eren was sure he messed up the exams so bad, but Jenny tried to calm him down, telling him about Eren going to the prom when they were back home, it made Eren nearly have a meltdown and start crying when his mother tried to distract him with the prom again, Jenny wince and left her son to study in hope that he will calm down.

When the exams were finally over, Eren and Jenny flow back to Eldia with Eren banging his head on the window of the plane, saying something about messing up, it made Jenny call Kuchel with the plane's phone and beg her quietly to bring Levi to the airport because her son was having another meltdown, Kuchel informed her that she was going to kill Kenny and drag his corpse with Levi to the airport in hope that Eren will get some closure.

When Jenny and Eren finally reached home, they saw the Ackermans and the rest of the Zoë waiting for them, Levi wince as he saw the dark circle around Eren's eyes, they made him look like raccoon, but Eren gave a tired smile when he saw his friends and family, even laugh as he saw Kenny with a black eye glaring at Kuchel, who hugged Eren tightly telling him how proud she was of him.

So it ends with Eren being asked to prom by Levi, his friends had already finished their finals and Levi was telling Eren about going to Trost which was the best college in Eldia. Eren was so happy for his friend who then asked him to go to prom with him, Eren smiled at that and said yes, which made Levi, blush a little then grin at his friend.

Eren could have gone without Kenny giving him the talk though… in detail… the gay version… it was the most embarrassing moment of his life. Because apparently being asked to prom meant one thing… losing someone's virginity. Eren didn't know how the prom meant that but he shrugged it off, the age of consent in Eldia is sixteen, so Eren was sure that people had sex when they were fourteen in his school, why would they wait for the prom?

When Eren talked with Levi about that the boy shrugged, they both didn't have that much experience, with Eren's hate for intimacy and falling in love, and Levi is not interested in the people that asked him out, so after going back and forth, the two of them decided that they will lose their virginity to each other, because both of them agreed that losing it for someone's best friend is better than a stranger that will turn out to be a jerk.

The night of the prom was fun, it was spent with Eren and Levi laughing and joking with each other and their friends, and when the prom ended Levi and Eren decided to go to Levi's house, considering that his parents and sister were out. They both were feeling nerves and excitement at the same time, after all, it was their first time, and it wasn't like a kiss that not a lot of people give a thought to it.

So the two of them went to Levi's room, looking at each other shyly and a little bit awkwardly not knowing what to do next, they stayed still in the middle of the room but then Eren sighed and start stripping from his suit making Levi follow in return.

Once they were in their undershirts and shorts, the two boys settled into bed like they did almost every night they had a sleepover, Eren turns around to see Levi who was fidgeting a little. Eren wrapped his arm around Levi's middle, hugging him hoping that it would calm them both down Levi's sweet summer smell surrounded him, heady and intoxicating, and their bodies pressed together so that Eren could feel each delicate bone and everywhere that Levi was soft.

Being close to Levi like this was strange in a kind; they ever thought of each other like this before maybe in a passing thought, yes, they may be openly affectionate with each other and kissed each other on the lips countless of times, but nothing like this. They were both gay so maybe it was the only way to explain to the way they both felt about their friendship that existed in some strange space between brotherhood and desire.

Eren dared to pull Levi even closer to him- too close to be anything but intimate. Which was a little bit strange for Eren, he let his hand run over Levi's stomach, over the fabric of his undershirt, and feel the slight softness there. Then he slid his hand back a bit, gently caressing Levi's hipbone. He allowed himself to nuzzle against Levi's neck and he heard the older teen's breath hitches as his fingertips grazed along Levi's body through his thin underclothes.

"Feels nice…" Levi muttered making Eren's hand still on Levi's hip and he hummed a little and looked at the older teen that had a flushed face.

"Did you want me to continue?" Eren asked voice low and quiet afraid to speak loudly. Levi nods a little, just snuggled into Eren a little bit more. Eren sighed in relief that he didn't mess up and laid his arm across Levi's waist. Quiet fell again, thick in the air and calm. Levi placed his hand on top of Eren's making the teen look at him and kissed him making both of their breaths hitches.

Levi was brushing his fingertips over Eren's knuckles in a way that hinted at something more. Blood roared through Eren's veins, and the whole situation was suddenly too warm, too close and too dangerous. Levi hummed softly, his fingertip brushing up Eren's forearm and leaving a trail of fire behind. "Am I the only person you've been close to like this, Eren?" Levi asked after breaking their kiss making Eren look at him.

"You know the answer…" Eren whispered as he sits up leaning away from Levi making the smaller man hum. With a flushed face Levi gave something to Eren making the teen blink and look at the bottle of lube, Eren didn't know what took over him but he laughed making Levi follow him, all the awkwardness they felt vanished as they caught the happy smiles on each other's face

Eren reached out and pulled Levi to him so their bodies were pressed flush together, chest to chest. Then Eren crushed their lips together hungrily. Levi gasped, making Eren hum, reveling in the taste of Levi's mouth, rich and sweet.

They kissed like they had done a few times before- Levi languidly parting his lips and running his fingers through the hairs and at the base of Eren's neck. Meanwhile, Eren licked into Levi's mouth like he was allowed to, rubbing his hand over Levi's narrow chest. It was better than any kiss they had shared before. Soon, Eren was tugging Levi's undershirt up and brushing his hand along hot, bare skin.

"Levi…" Eren moaned, sliding his leg in between Levi's so that their hips were slotted together. His lips moved away from Levi's and he began to mouth along Levi's jaw and neck. Levi was trembling against him and gasping out hitched little noises that made Eren's stomach clench.

Slender-fingered hands were roaming over Eren's body clumsily but tenderly, sliding up his sides, over his back, along his thighs, then cupping Eren's face and pulling him up so their lips could meet again.

They rolled over so that Eren was on top of Levi, hips pressed down so that he could feel every inch of Levi's erection. Both of them were rock hard. With a low moan, Eren began to rock his hips down against Levi's.

Their eyes met in and Levi was staring up at him in a way he'd never seen before- desire bordering on reverence. Like Eren was a work of art or something. It was strange but it wasn't unwelcome, it made Eren sigh.

They spoke very little because since when had they ever needed words to know what the other was thinking? Together, they established a rhythm, grinding their hips against each other while Eren pressed tender kisses everywhere he could. But if his mouth ever wandered too far away, Levi would eventually grab him by the back of his neck and tug him up to kiss him once more.

Levi's hands raked over Eren's body and tore at his clothes. They both were quick learners, and he soon figured out just how Eren liked to be kissed; he worked his lips against Eren's slowly but ruthlessly while his hands continued to roam. Eren groaned into Levi's mouth, his cock throbbing in his shorts because Levi was really, really good at this.

"Damn Levi…" Eren swore. Making Levi toss his head back and laugh his wonderful belly-laugh and stroked his artful fingers through Eren's damp hair. Warmth swelled in Eren's heart as he stared down at Levi fondly, only to see the older teen smiling gently at him.

For the first time in his life, Eren's heart skips a beat…

three weeks after their night together, everything returns back as it was before... maybe not how it was before, but the two of them were closer than before. Eren and Levi talked about their plans for college, Eren was waiting desperately for his exams result, as Jenny informed him that it will come in the mail any day now, Eren told Levi that he was thinking of choosing Harvard, but MIT seemed fantastic, after a lot of going back and forth with Levi (Eren never told anyone other than their parents about the deal with Kenny, he didn't want his friend's heart to break and force himself to study economy thinking that he was spearing Eren) Eren decided on MIT, Hanji had been so jealous when he told her about him maybe going to study in America, but that was Hanji, so she hugged Eren to death after five minutes of sulking, Hanji's passion was biology so studying in Trost college was her dream since she was little.

So there Eren was walking with Levi to the Zoë's home since this weekend is the Zoë's turn to make dinner, Levi and Eren had taken it upon themselves to spend as much time as they can do with each other, as much as Levi didn't want Eren to leave their home and go to a foreign land, he knows Eren is too smart to stay in here, he just made Eren promise to call him at last once a week. It was the last thing Levi can do, he had wanted to tell Eren something that had been plaguing his mind for a long time now, but after learning of Eren wanting to go study abroad he just couldn't do that to his best friend. So spending as much time with him before he leaves was all Levi could do.

When Eren and Levi reached the Zoë's household Eren as usual went to check the mailbox first, which made Levi's heart skips a beat, was it bad of him to wish that his friend get a bad score in his exams? It probably was but he couldn't help it. Levi saw how Eren took the letters from the mailbox and start sorting through them as they walked to the house, Levi opened the door as the two of them entered the house, Levi heard the letters in Eren's hand fall into the floor making Levi turn to see his friends holding a big envelope in his hands.

"What is it Eren?" Levi asked as he leans on Eren to see what made his friend freeze. When Eren felt Levi touching his shoulder softly he snapped and start opening the letter fast afraid that it will disappear if he didn't, when Eren opens the letter he starts reading throw it at the speed of light.

It was all too fast but suddenly Eren turns to Levi and hugged him tightly laughing and shouting in the joy which attracts the attention of everyone in the house. "Eren, Levi what is going on?" Han asked as he saw his son hugging Levi and laughing happily.

Eren turned to Han and let go of Levi. "I scored 1560 in my SAT I am going to MIT!" Eren shouted happily as he rushed to Han showing him the letter.

There was shouting from inside of the house and then everyone rushed to Eren to see him showing Han the letter with a huge grin on his fast, Hanji was the first to recover as she went and hugged Eren tightly laughing with Eren and chanting 'MIT' which made the adults smile as Mikasa rushed to Eren and hugged him and Hanji jumping with them both. Levi, on the other hand, tried to smile a little, hiding his shaky hands in his pockets, he was happy for Eren, he really was… he just wasn't happy about Eren leaving Eldia and maybe meet 'The one' when he did…

Levi tried to act like his heart didn't shatter at the news…

Sorry for the late update lacking motivation to write.

So for you that will love to learn about where Eldia is actually is and were the island is situated, you will find that in the ' Manga Spoiler: Map of Attack on Titan' that Eldia actually is Madagascar, but in this verse considering that we are in the modern world not the Attack on Titan world, let's say that Eldia island is under Madagascar, it's a bigger island than Madagascar though.

As for college, considering that Eren is from another country it's different when the school year starts in every different country, so when Eren and his friends are taking their finals, the students in America are taking their college entrance exams.

I am not from America so I don't know a lot about their educating system other then what I researched.
