Yang was wandering around Vale's Main Street, she had taken the airship to get there expecting the others but no one had greeted her and her scroll had no signal for some reason. The city was eerily quiet, the normally bustling Main Street devoid of any pedestrians, it made her feel uneasy. Every now and again she thought she could see someone in the corner of her eye but when she turned to look there was nobody there. She was growing more annoyed by the minute at all the weirdness that was going on, as she complained to no one but herself at the stupidity of the situation she heard what sounded like a voice coming from a nearby clothing store. Following the voice she ran to the store and burst in, inside however was a sight that equal parts confused her and shocked her. Standing in the centre of the store was a perfect replica of herself surrounded by humanoid, shadow creatures that wore these full face, porcelain masks. The other Yang was standing in front of a mirror placing various outfits in front of her self to see them. She spoke to the shadow creatures in a sort of shrill tone that while very different to Yang's voice was still recognisable "Oooooh I don't know. Should I go with the Silk or the wool?" In response the shadow beings scurried around the store bringing this other Yang dozens of different outfits. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?" The real Yang said indignant that someone was walking around looking like her. The other Yang turned round and looked upset at the appearance of the real Yang "What are you doing here?! You are like totally cramping my style with that bargain bin outfit, though I guess for a second rate bimbo it fits." The insult pushed Yang over the edge from slightly annoyed to fuming, "The hell did you say to me?!" Yang roared at the yellow eyed copy fully ready to start swinging. "Oh chill out, all that yelling is just gonna cause wrinkles." The copy replied nonchalantly whilst examining their nails. Yang was just about ready to burst when the copy said something that caught her off guard "Though maybe if you had wrinkles people would remember you, ya get me just a little something more memorable than what you have at the minute." "What." Yang said as she took a step back, the yellow eyed Yang took a step forward leering at the original "Aww did I hit a nerve." They started to chuckle, they seemed to be enjoying mocking her.
Ruby pushed through the mirror and found herself in the dressing room, the feeling of the liquid glass was something she wouldn't get used to. The same familiar chill ran down her spine, she knew here she would be without semblance and aura, she had to be careful. She made her way out of the small room and could faintly hear two sets of voices coming from the main floor of the store. To call the scene strange would be a gross oversimplification, standing in the centre of the store was Yang with a look of pure hate on her face and another Yang who looked bored by comparison, a trio of shadowy flunkies surrounded her. The tension between the two Yangs was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The bored Yang saw Ruby hiding behind a clothes rack, "Oh look, if it isn't little miss over achiever what are you here to take the attention again?" The yellow eyed Yang said with a clear venom in her words. The real Yang turned to see her sister, a look of shock washed across her features before she returned her attention to the Yang in front of her. She settled into a low stance, the bangles on her wrists formed into a set of yellow gauntlets and Yang roared "Look I don't know who you are but no one talks to my sister like that!" "Oh come on like I know you think the same I am you, I know you've always hated her. Even when you were younger she's shown you up, silver eyes, youngest student in Beacon history. Everything you've done she's done better, aren't there just days you wish she would just die." The yellow eyed Yang retorted the venom in their voice growing stronger. "I mean like all we have left that she doesn't are these!" The copy said mockingly as they groped their own breasts. "No I wouldn't say that, I wouldn't want Ruby to die ever! There's no way in hell you're me!" Yang shouted as she swung at the copy. The resounding crack of gun fire and the punch was deafening in the relatively small store. The yellow eyed Yang was limp and lifeless on the ground, thrown back five feet by the blow.
The body convulsed on the ground, bending, twisting in horrid, inhuman ways and as sudden as it had started moving it stopped. It melted away into a pool of dark liquid that spread into a large puddle, the three shadow humanoids made their way over to the puddle stepping into it one by one and melting just as the fake Yang had. It began to bubble and boil and not before long a large, human looking hand shot out. Ruby and Yang both took a few steps back, each readying themselves and their weapons. The hand pulled itself out and the body it was attached to followed. It was a vaguely humanoid figure easily towering over Ruby and Yang. The creature that crawled out was like a caricature of Yang, having exaggerated proportions and sitting astride a large bio organic motorcycle that had a bears head attached to the front. It's eyes were covered with a red blindfold and the version of ember celica attached to its wrists appeared to meld into the flesh of its arms. The figure stared tearing at its hair and screaming "I Am a ShaDow... ThE trUe seLf!" The voice was distorted but still recognisably Yangs. It's head swivelled to stare at Ruby through its blindfold, it's screams increased in volume as the bikes engines roared and it drove towards her, readying an attack. She dodged to the right narrowly avoiding the reckless charge before firing several quick shots with crescent rose, the shots connected sinking into the creatures flesh but seemed to cause no real damage. The creature roared "EveRYthiNG I DId you dID bETTer! I woULD get an A AnD you would get A plus!" The gauntlet on its right wrist belched a huge ball of flame that exploded scorching the ground around Ruby and singing the edge of her cape. Ruby was pushed into a corner, the monstrous Yang slowly making its way towards her, in desperation Ruby closed her eyes and began to focus on the image of Holzfäller in her mind. The image became clearer and her aura began to pulsate, she roared its name and with a bright flash of red light Holzfäller stood in front of her, axe at the ready.
Yang could only stare in horror and shock as a monster version of herself beared down on her sister, screaming that it would kill her, she saw Ruby get backed into a corner and she wanted to scream for her to run, to escape but the words died in her throat. She felt powerless to help her sister, she fell to her knees and some part of her felt ready to die. There was a bright flash of light and she heard Ruby shout a name "Holzfäller!", she looked up and saw a large humanoid figure dressed in a green cloak standing over Ruby, it had a large axe in hand ready to attack. Yang had a million thoughts and questions about the situation but one underlying feeling she had that was growing was the anger that Ruby had another thing she didn't. The monster seemed to share this feeling, it screamed in anger and charged Ruby and her new companion, the cloaked figure flourished its axe and a gust of wind threw the monstrous yang to the ground. Ruby pointed at the creature and yelled for Holzfäller to attack, the cloaked figure; Holzfäller leapt forward and brought its axe down on the monsters chest. The blade sank into its flesh with a sickening crunch before pulling it out to swing down again. As Holzfäller prepared to swing again the monstrous Yang's fist jabbed forward striking the persona in the stomach, Holzfäller and Ruby both flew back as if they had both been struck. Yang saw her sister grimace in pain, she called out to her but was drowned out by the monstrous Yangs roars of victory "YeS DiE DIE DIE! BURN BURN BURN!" It pointed its gauntlets towards and Yang saw flames begin to form in the barrels. Holzfäller dashed forward and wrestled the monstrous Yang's arms up, the flames lighting the ceiling on fire instead of Ruby. The two creatures grappled together, each desperately trying to knock the other to the ground. Suddenly the monstrous Yang kicked Holzfäller's leg and with a disgusting snap broke the persona's leg,
Ruby fell to the ground clutching her leg, Holzfäller disappeared as her focus broke, the pain was unbearable and the tears were streaming down her face. Yang saw her sister on the ground and the monster turn back towards them, gibberish and chuckling as they did so. Yang saw this, she could hear her monstrous self celebrating the fact that she was about to kill Ruby and she was just sitting there doing nothing. She clenched her fists, stood up and even though her voice was the barest whisper she spoke "No." Her monstrous self heard her and turned to look at Yang, it's head cocked quizzically "No? But THis Is wHAT we Want! She is ThE PrOBLEM!" The words stung worse than buckshot, spittle flew from the monsters mouth as it spoke and it was tearing at its hair with each word. "No! She's not the problem, we are!" Yang roared back, her face pained. "So what if Ruby did better than us in school! I'm still me, even if people focus on Ruby's accomplishments I don't care! I'm me and so are you, I'm sorry I bottled you up, I'm sorry that I thought I wasn't worth as much as Ruby. But I understand now, you are me, you might not be pretty and I might be happy that you are but that doesn't change the fact that you are." The monstrous Yang stopped screaming and seemed to calm down, their form started to lose consistency, parts falling off and melting into black sludge until all that was left was the original yellow eyed Yang. The copy stood there staring at the original, the features on her face were forlorn, she spoke slowly and quietly "I am thou, thou art I." There were tears streaming down Yang's face but they weren't born of sorrow or wrath but of relief. She felt relieved that she finally let her problems go. She felt herself smile and she said "Yes. Yes you are."
The copy smiled at this before they disappeared in a blue flash of light, once the light died there was a new creature in their place. It was a large mechanical bear, it's armour plates a bright yellow and it had three heads, one that was large and fierce looking, another that was more medium sized that somehow looked kindly despite being a bear and the third and final head was that of a cubs. Yang heard a voice much like her own echo in her mind "I am thou, thou art I. From the sea of thy soul I cometh. I am the Three bears champion of beasts."
