The Hoad family is waking up and Toady opens his eyes and went, "Hmm, Hmm, Good what's that I smell?"

Daisy Bell, who had earlier risen to get breakfast said, "Thick and fluffy pancakes to make folks feel like family."

Toady responded, "Those'll stick to your ribs thanks Maw!"

Daisy Bell answered, "Welcome son."

They all gathered around the breakfast table with pancakes and coffee and enjoyed their breakfast after Andy prayed over the breakfast.

Toady finished chewing his last bite of pancakes and said, "Billy you and Andy tend to the chores today while myself, Jonathan and Mark'll go see about that tree. Daisy Bell, Maw that is, fix us some sandwiches. We may be there a spell workin'. Jonathan, you know where to get some nitroglycerin?"

Jonathan answers, "I got some last night."

Toady responded, "Mazin' how you be so resourceful."

They head over to the McCalister's place, "Hullo, Mr. McCallister, it's Toady Hoad."

Ralph steps out his front door eating a piece of bacon and asks, "What can I do for you, friend?"

Jake is eating eggs at the time and upon hearing the word friend attached to a Hoad it made him put his fork down and breathe heavily through his nose.

Jimmie thought within himself, "A Hoad saved my life, I'm willing to take one of them as a friend. I'm willing to forget and forgive the feudin'."

Toady responds to Mr. McCallister, we come to help you with that tree."

Ralph asks, "What you got in mind?"

Toady answers, "Explosives."

Ralph's responds, "Dynamite? It'll mess up the riverbed wall. Done thought of that. No good."

Toady answers, "No Jonathan, here knows how to use nitroglycerin."

Ralph inquired, "Nitro what?"

Jonathan answers, "Nitroglycerin it's a part of what makes dynamite but it's liquid and highly unstable, you don't need much to do much."

Ralph replies, "Alright have at her then."

Jonathan sets the charge using about as much as half a dime size in the middle of the oak tree. Everyone gets far enough away and behind protection while Jonathan takes a rock just big enough for his hand to fit around and with precaution and Divine guidance threw that rock like David on Goliath smack dab on the nitroglycerin in the middle of the oak tree.

KA BOOM!!!

That tree exploded in the middle as if some strongman grabbed the tree on the sides splitting it two. That tree splintered into wood bits just floating along going both directions. Water started gushing along the old riverbed bringing life back along the path to the Mccalister's place.

Ralph called, "Judy, Honey, Jake, Jimmie! Come here, come see!"

The McCallisters come over to see and are amazed at the sight at the miracle.

Jimmie speaks up, "Jake you can hate me if you want to but as far as I'm concerned, Hoads' is friends."

Jake looks closer to where the tree was in the river. He's sees how the river is amply shared by both Hoads and McCallisters. He shakes his head in perplexity over what he's been taught and what he sees now.

The Hoads and McCallisters both have water on their lands!

Toady comes over to Jake, stands next to him and says, "I got a Gideon's Bible back home that says the Saviour died on a tree. Couldn't our feudin' in similar respects die on that tree that just went down the river?"

Jake says, Tell me about this Saviour you speak of. Could He save a wretch like me?

Toady gives his testimony and Jake believes on the Lord Jesus Christ and gets saved.

Days follow and Toady is thinking more about what he and Jonathan talked about awhile back about him preaching the Word. Toady sits down with his maw and tells his burden and call with her. "Maw, I believe and trust the Lord wants me to be a Preacher and declare the glory of God just like the heavens do."

Daisy Bell says, "Then you must son, you must declare the glory of God like the heavens do."

Toady does goes on a circuit through the Tennessee Hills preaching the Word of God with folks accepting Christ as Saviour and joining "Heaven's Highway Church" founded by Pastor Toady Hoad.

If the Highway to Heaven you're on has hills, climb them one step at a time. Pull out your weeds too.

Jonathan and Mark await their next assignment.
