"Nevaeh, come with me, now." Makarov was stern and gave her a look that Laxus had told her about, 'the look'.
"I want to know what the hell you thought you were doing." He was trying to remain calm and reserve judgement until after he'd heard her side of the story. Nevaeh explained the story to him, who the Oracion Seis were, and even went so far to tell him their plans. "Yes, we are aware of their plans, Erza, Natsu, Lucy and Gray are already preparing to set out again, but this time with an alliance of three other guilds; Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale and Cait Shelter. You may have noble reasons for what you did, however you did a number on your guild mates and I can't let that go unpunished." It took her several hours to complete the task list her great grandfather had given her but as soon as she had, she grabbed Eureka and they made their way back to the Oracion Seis.
Upon their arrival they could see a city of ruins on top of a strange contraption; they guessed that it was what the Oracion Seis were after. They searched all over the place and found Racer, Angel, Cobra and Midnight knocked out. Their prayers echoed in Nevaeh's head.
"...To fade into the sky...like and angel." Sorano...
"...To be faster than everyone else." Sawyer...
"...To hear the voice of my one friend, Cubellios." Erik...
"...To find a quiet place, so I could sleep in peace." Macbeth...
She could feel their pain. She knew them, their pain and suffering and she cried. They took the others away from the falling Nirvana and then Nevaeh took Midnight away. He was still sleeping and she watched over him, they were on top of a hill overlooking fields of flowers. Nevaeh was sat under a tree, keeping him safe and making sure he wasn't disturbed. He began to mumble something; he was having a bad dream.
"No...Don't leave me...Father." He tossed and turned. She went over to him and held him in her arms. She began to sing a soft melody, and he calmed down. Half an hour later he woke up. "What? Where am I? N-Nevaeh?"
"It's okay, you're safe." She said, relaxed and smiling. "Did you sleep well?"
"Surprisingly I did, for the first time in years, I slept in peace." He smiled at her. "Where are the others?"
"Back at Nirvana. Don't worry they're all okay, but last I saw Brain and Natsu were still in battle."
They made their way back and immediately Midnight was arrested. "Before you take us I have a question for Nevaeh." Everyone looked from him to her. "Why did you answer our prayers?" Confusion left everyone speechless. It wasn't the question they were expecting, however it was one they didn't realise they wanted answered.
"Simple, years ago I found my way to a dark tower." Shock swept round them all. "When I got there I was put in a cell with a girl who stared out of the window, wishing to be an angel, a boy who didn't stop running, wishing to be the fastest, a boy who I recognised, wishing to see his brother, a boy who had a snake for a friend, wishing to hear it's voice and finally, a boy who wished to sleep in peace. I was very close to this boy; he protected me, kept me out of trouble, and kept me smiling. He gave me this necklace, and I gave him mine." She showed everyone her necklace with the 'MN' on it and pointed to Midnight's choker. "One day there was a rebellion, some girl with scarlet hair started fighting back, and everyone followed her lead. I took the opportunity to take my friends out of there. The guards blocked our path and I turned to the sleepless boy, and I made a promise. I promised that no matter what, I would find him again. It's taken me a eight years, but I kept my promise. I fell in love with that boy." She saw the expressions on everyone's faces, even Jellal's jaw dropped. "Cobra, the curse on Cubellios has been lifted, I promise one day you will be reunited and you will hear her voice. Angel, you need to be pure of heart and soul to live up to your name, no magic can do that, it's something you must do for yourself, I'm sorry but that's all I can say to you. Racer, there's a way for you to be truly fast, but I know you'll find that on your own. Richard, I promise to reunite you with your brother, but right now he's out travelling the world with a couple of companions. Midnight, the boy who couldn't sleep, I made sure that you finally did. It was the least I could've done for you."
"I remember being in that tower, and there was a little girl with hair like sunshine and eyes like rain." Nevaeh blushed at Midnight's words. "I fell in love with her, and I wanted to be with her forever, that's why I made her that necklace. A few years later she finds me again and I have to say goodbye. I didn't recognise you at first..." His eyes were saddened. "I thought you died long ago, that's why I never imagined you were that girl. I'm so sorry."
"This isn't goodbye, my old friends; we will meet again one day." Midnight hugged her from behind and whispered in her ear.
"Thank you, for everything." The Oracion Seis members, along with Jellal were taken away. The Fairy Tail wizards stuck around for a while. Erza was sitting by some rocks, away from the others. Nevaeh went over to her and hugged her.
"I know, Erza, I know it's painful, but we just need to get through it, we'll see them again, I know we will. I promise that you and Jellal will be together again." Tears were pouring down both of their faces. They looked up at the stars for a moment then Nevaeh stood up and stretched out her hand to Erza. "Come on, you don't want the others to see us crying do you, Natsu would never let us live it down." She smiled, wiping her tears away. Erza took her hand and nodded. The whole journey back, Ren, Eve and Hibiki were trying their routine on Nevaeh and Eureka. They managed to make the girls blush from embarrassment before getting right hooked in their faces, except Eve, Eve was too cute so Nevaeh merely pinched his cheeks leaving them pink. Nevaeh and Eureka immediately took off on several S-class jobs that would probably take them at least a month to complete. While they'd been gone, all of the strongest wizards of Fairy Tail, except those two, had gone to Tenrou Island. Nevaeh wanted to go see who was actually competing for the title of S-class, on December 15th.
They finally got there and separated to look for their guild members. Nevaeh came to a secluded and serene area to find a young man with black hair lying down.
"It's you... What are you doing here?" She said walking over to him.
"I came here to be away from people." His voice was soft. She was completely comfortable around him. "Why are you here?"
"I'm here to find my friends; it's the S-class trials. They do it every year. I'd better go, please don't get into any trouble, okay?" She ran off again. Eventually she came across Bickslow and Freed, along with Eureka, Lisanna and Mirajane at the camp they'd set up.
"Lisanna?!" Nevaeh rushed over, she couldn't believe her eyes. Everything was explained to her and they sat for an hour gossiping. Nevaeh and Eureka then went off to explore the island.
As hours went by they realised it was too quiet, until a horrifying roar came from nowhere. They started running back towards the camp but before they could make it they stumbled upon the scene of Makarov trying to hold down a large black dragon. Fear paralysed them.
"This dragon is nothing like Atlas Flame!" Nevaeh fell to her knees. She held Eureka's hand tightly which scared Eureka even more, if Nevaeh was scared like this then they were seriously in trouble. The dragon had risen from the water after her guild mates had beaten it down. Sol and Luna swooped in and carried Eureka and Nevaeh into the air, they used their Ice dragon and Fire Dragon Roar attacks in sync, but it revealed to have had little effect on the monster. Dismissing the two airborne dragon slayers, the black dragon, Acnologia, used its dragon roar attack on the whole island. Sol and Luna had managed to get out of the way but the four of them watched in pain as they saw the island sink. The dragon flew off. Tears fell hard as they flew away from the scene.
"They're not dead, they're still alive, I just know it." Nevaeh said tearfully.
"Yeah, I believe so too." Eureka tried to hold herself back from crying anymore. Sol and Luna couldn't speak through the tears. They made it back to the guild to inform the others of what happened; search parties were formed and after a few months went by people began to give up. To make matters worse, Nevaeh and Eureka left the Fairy Tail guild.
