[This is a special Alternate Universe Story Crossover of two loving games I hold dear, and my attempts to honor them: Detroit Become Human & Final Fantasy X & X-2. I hope you enjoy this take on the tale, as some of the names have been crossed or morphed together some events also have been influenced by both games, so cities, characters, etc. ]

The winds howled with the fierce sheer cold on the coastal city of Detrospira. The metropolitan area nestled beneath the large towering snowy mountains as atmospheric disturbance stretches across the upper peaks as small red lights flickered in the upper Alps. The border town from the neighboring country divided the large channel, as the Holographic advertisement for CyberLife is manifested on a passing airship beyond the dark waters as the blue logo's digital interface swifts pigment colors and presents a new humanoid model of a latest AI or Artificial Intelligence. The company last several decades manufacturing personal assistant robotics now under the guise of the City Leaders, but everyone knew the Yevonites had a firm hand in the cities politics, 'nothing got by those bastards.'

Rookie Detective Tidus Connor took a long drag of his synthetic tobacco, as he extinguished the smoke from his mouth taking in the aroma of the sweet gum flavor. Joined with the superior Auron Anderson they were specifically sent to scope out an event at the Blitzball arena in the tonight with a tip. Patrols of the Detrospira had been hearing of rumors of the attack on the arena as members of the Al Bhed faction resistance known as the Deviant-X. The snow shimmered in the fluorescent lights of the overhead stadium sport center as the massive aquatic arena housed the empty sphere pool. The crowd was stamping their feet as the mechanical smaller non-intelligent life forms swept the arena with plug less feed to the large hovering sports CCTV as the countdown was slowly winding down.

The gruff voice of his superior halted his next drag, as the older cop in dark uniform began, "so…how many years has it been since you played?" The young leered a bitter sigh reminded of his knee injury forced him to retire, as he bantered, "four years…" the hilt of the synthetic vape was a welcoming soothing feeling to his resentment as the holographic confetti simulation interface illuminated on the screen as the announcer welcomed the hometown Detrospira-Abes. As the cartoonish character of the brown river otter swept the screen before erupting from the pigment interface and the use of the illusion of holographic projectors gives the illusion of pyrotechnics it was alive. As the Otter swept the sports arena and dancing upon the cold winds of the stadium it erupted into pure light and vanished as the teams emerged to the Aquatic Tanks.

The Twenty-four old law enforcement officer watched the crowd with his superior, as the rivals made their less grand appearance before an aquatic AI personal android appeared less human than the usual appearance but alerted the feed the home teams take the ball. The former sports athlete watched the straggling members adjust the mouth guards which were especially adjusted to inhibit human hosts to covert water into a configured ventilator guard. Though the city had its share of humanoid androids, animal humanoids, and other walks of life species; the city itself prized itself on the art of justice and law and order.

The superior noticing the unusual behavior of his subordinate detective less talkative than usual, as older male began, "Reports indicate Deviants-X's are pushing their plans for a reevaluation." The young man turned to his head to his family friend, as he nodded, and began, "….contacts say they are building a legion of followers, and seizing tech." The older man nodded as the fellow officer in the agreed nodding his head toward the young man, and reiterated, "Robbery at the docks last week." The blond-haired subordinate not taking his eyes off the match of the blitz ball tournament finals, as the older detective could make out the troubled mind of the boy, and began, "…streets are getting worse as Red Dragon has resurfaced once again." The pair of men nodded at the passing patrolmen as he made his rounds on the second stadium floor of the sports arena, before Auron questioned, "do you miss it." Before answering the question, rookie detective just strolled away from his dark uniform of the black leather hooded cloak before covering his facial features before passing through the oncoming crowd.
