It has been nearly seven years since the Tenrou Team went missing. Nevaeh and Eureka were preparing to fight, behind them stood seven other girls, aged between seventeen and twenty-one. They were the Dragon Heart Guild, an independent guild made up entirely of dragon slayers; Nevaeh was their founder and master. She had taken in the seven girls and taught them magic, lacrima were implanted into the girls' bodies giving them the power to use dragon slayer magic. They trained under Nevaeh, rigorously, for this moment. They were so grateful to Nevaeh for taking them in and caring for them that they were more than willing to go into battle for her. Each one of them had their own Exceed partner. As it was, Nevaeh was the Sun Dragon Slayer, Eureka the Ice Dragon Slayer, Moriko the Forest Dragon Slayer, Sayo the Dark Dragon Slayer, Kasumi the Water Dragon Slayer, Rin the Storm Dragon Slayer, Sayuri the Rock Dragon Slayer, Suzume the Light Dragon Slayer and finally Tsuki the Sound Dragon Slayer. Opposite them was the black dragon, Acnologia. The new dragon slayers went in first, combining their attacks, but this didn't seem to be doing much damage. Next Eureka and Nevaeh went in with their attacks, unceasing the whole guild was surrounding the beast, showing no mercy. The dragon lunged for Sayuri but Nevaeh stepped in with her Fire Dragon Iron Fist attack, sending the dragon back. The battle went on for hours, they were all weary, but luckily so was Acnologia. Nevaeh was about to deliver a final blow, her Sun Dragon Roar, sending golden and white flames towards the enemy. Before she did so she turned around. Her guild members were worn out, they needed serious medical help, and Rin couldn't even stand, let alone use her healing magic (Storm Dragon Slayer magic is a mix between Sky and Lightening Dragon Slayer magic). Instead of fulfilling her goal she saved her guild members. There will be a second round, some day. She had used the last of her magic energy to transport them far away from the dragon.

"Nevaeh, why?" Kasumi coughed and it sounded as though it was painful to breathe.

"Nothing is worth your lives, you are my guild members, my pupils, and Hell will freeze over before I let you die for the sake of... well anything." She was sat by a rock, which Sayuri started eating, her voice pained as she struggled to speak. "I'll go get you things you can eat to replenish your strength." She returned with green plant leaves for Moriko, A flask of spring water for Kasumi, and the rest she had to use her powers to make, Ice make magic to create some crystal clear ice for Eureka, Lightening for Rin, she made a ball of dark energy for Sayo, a ball of light energy for Suzume and for Tsuki, she just ate anything. Nevaeh collapsed and her body began to glow. The fight was too much for her and where a normal person would have died, she regenerated, as she had done that time seven years ago. When the process was complete she had the appearance of being eighteen again. She couldn't explain it. They all looked all looked at her with eyes narrowed and mouths open. They decided this would definitely be one of those times where it's much better not to ask questions.

An hour passed and they returned back to their base, Nevaeh and Eureka's house, Kedelia. They were welcomed back by a six year old boy. They gathered their strength and Luna came to tell Nevaeh the news about the Oracion Seis. The other Exceeds were greeting their partners.

"The Infinity Clock?" She asked quizzically.

"That's what the townsfolk are saying, apparently it's been a really big mess, Natsu and the others all came back and went to pursuit them." Luna was happy to give them the news about the Tenrou Team.

"I have to go there, now!" Nevaeh started for the door.

"We're coming too!" She turned round to see Eureka and the rest of the guild standing right behind her. It was settled.

"Fine, but I have to take care of something first."

*Some time later*

"They say that magic comes from the heart..." It was Midnight's voice, echoing through the Infinity Castle. Nevaeh had sent her guild ahead to scope the place out. She sat quietly when...

"Mum?" A small boy, resembling Midnight had run onto the battle scene.

"What the?!" Natsu fried his Dragon Roar attack at the child but Nevaeh had stepped in and began to eat his flames, clutching the six year old in her arms.

"Macbeth! I told you to stay at home!" She was angry that he had disobeyed her.

"But mum, I wanted to see you guys fight for once."

"What is this...?" Midnight was stunned, was this boy... looks just like him.

"Wait a minute here! You have a son? And why the heck did ya leave Fairy Tail?" Natsu was clueless as ever.

"His name is Macbeth, he's six and I left... to go after that black dragon, Acnologia. I assembled a guild of dragon slayers specifically to take that beast down." As she said this her guild members came up behind them. "However, we failed." She got up. "But at least everyone's still alive. Natsu..." She ran and hugged Natsu. "I'm so glad you're all back."

"Wait... this child... is he...?" Midnight butted in.

"Yes, isn't it obvious? He has your hair, your eyes, and your face; in fact he looks just like you when you were younger." She was proud.

"Mum told me a lot about you, and the others." A big, cheerful smile was painted on his face.

"We have to go now, your dad's busy. Sorry Natsu, inter-guild conflict regulations and all..." Nevaeh said waving.

"But we're..." Tsuki, the youngest began. She was going to argue that with them being an independent guild the regulation didn't apply.

"Quiet!" Without thinking about it she'd kicked Tsuki in the face and sent her flying into the wall. "Oops... Too much?"

"You think, mum?" Macbeth's voice was flat, although he wanted to laugh just as much as the rest of them.

"Guys, can you please take him home, I don't want him getting caught up in this." She turned to Midnight and Natsu. "I won't interfere, carry on." Natsu sprung at Midnight and the fight continued. Eventually Midnight was knocked down and fell down the Infinity Castle. Nevaeh jumped down after him. Natsu was more concerned about Lucy, as were the others.

"Why did you save me?" He said as he was sat on top of her, she had cushioned his landing. He got off her.

"Why wouldn't I?" She sighed. "It's been seven years..." Tears were welling up in her eyes but she fought them back.

"Yet you haven't aged, just like they didn't?"

"It's complicated."

"Do you still feel the way you said you did back then, the last time you saw us?" Referring to the point where she admitted to falling in love with him.

"Of course, I always have, and I always will... love you." She braced herself. "The truth is, I joined the Oracion Seis to see you again. I never stopped looking for you after we got separated during the escape. I had a feeling you wouldn't recognise me and to be honest, I just wanted to see how long it was going to take you!" She laughed.

"And the boy, he's my son?"

"Are you dumb, of course he is... how many times do I have to say it. For goodness sake Midnight, you're the only man I've ever been with." He jolted back in reaction to her outburst. "You're the only person I've ever felt that way about, I love you, and I love our son." She pouted and her cheeks began to turn a rose colour.

"I realised I love you too, like I said back then, I honestly believed you were dead...when you told everyone, it hit me. Nevaeh... I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I was never there."

"Don't be silly, it wasn't your fault. Anyway, let's get out of here and get some fresh air." She smiled. Before she could turn away he took her hand in his, and put the other around her back and he pulled her in for a hug.

"Midnight..." She looked up and she couldn't fight it anymore, the tears poured down her face and he wiped them away best he could. He too began to cry.

"Nevaeh... How could I have forgotten you, and all you've done for me and the others?" He put both hands on either cheek, she felt warm inside. She put both hands on his cheeks and they exchanged a passionate kiss. Neither of them wanted to let go. "Seven long years, I missed you so much. We only spent a short time together yet I felt so much for you. I didn't think it was possible."

"I loved you before that, and I never thought that you would love me too. Being with you makes me happy." They spent some time like that as if they were frozen in time.

"What will you do now?" He asked.

"Now? I have to look after Macbeth, I named him after you." Another smile spread across her face, and he leaned in and kissed her. "I've missed you so much, it's been painful but, I knew I'd see you again."

"I missed you too, Nevaeh." He was being soft again. This was a side of him he would sooner die than let anyone see.

"I also have to get back to my guild."

"The Dragon Heart Guild?" He asked. "I heard about you guys, caused some trouble up north." She gulped and froze.

"Oh crap, Gramps is going to kill me when he hears about that, if he doesn't know already. I guess I'd better go back to Fairy Tail. I wish this could last forever though, you and me together." They both blushed and they held onto each other. However, their time together was cut short by the Magic Council.

"Don't worry, I promise I'll be with you again, I love you. And take good care of our son for me; tell him, I'm sorry." Midnight's parting words almost made Nevaeh cry, it was also down to the unknown of when she'll see him again. Back on the ground her guild waited for her.

"Oooh so that was Midnight, huh?" Sayo was being nosey. "He was kind of cute, but a little too old for me." The jokes started pouring out as they teased each other.

"What was the business you had to take care of anyway?" Eureka asked.

"Oh that? Yeah I had to get Kinana to wake up and follow us. I made a promise to Cobra remember?" Eureka smiled.

"What about the others?"

"All in good time."

"How is Racer..." Eureka blushed.

"He's fine, don't worry. Next time you see him you can tell him you like him, okay?" She teased. Then she stopped laughing and came to a halt. Macbeth was holding her hand and looked up to her. She took in a deep breath to deliver the news. "We can finally go home. As of this day, the Dragon Heart Guild is officially...disbanded." They gasped and protested but she assured them that Fairy Tail is their true home.
