Months had passed and the dragon slayers split into groups of two to complete even more quests. Moriko and Tsuki were a little jealous that Nevaeh and Eureka were taken in by Laxus and Bickslow that they wanted guardians too, despite being old enough to look after themselves, and so Freed took in Moriko and Evergreen took in Tsuki. Despite being of similar ages to them they still looked to them as parents, which got a little weird when Mirajane and Laxus hooked up, and the same went for Lisanna and Bickslow and Evergreen and Elfman. Although, it was a secret from the rest of the guild. As time passed the girls grew stronger and during that space of time Nevaeh had disappeared for a while, saying it was a personal mission. Not even Eureka knew what it was but they respected and trusted her enough not to ask about it. It wasn't until the biggest fight of their lives began that they realised what she had done.
Fairy Tail had found out that Tartaros, the last guild of the Balam alliance, were murdering not only the current magic council, but also the past members, the reason for which was to activate a weapon called F.A.C.E. This was a magical pulse bomb that when activated, would cause all wizards to suffer from magic deficiency disease. Natsu and the others had gone off to protect the remaining council members after Jackal, one of the nine demons of Tartaros, had massacred the current members. Nevaeh found out what Laxus had done to save the town. She stayed by his side, as well as looking after Freed, Evergreen and Bickslow. She used this time to collect her thoughts and not let anger cloud her mind, rushing into a fight with a guild full of demons would only be a foolish and reckless endangerment of herself and the others. Once she devised a strategy she called the girls to action and they set off to find Tartaros. On the way they found Doranbolt.
"Well now, have you already found out?"
"Found out what?" She asked.
"The Oracion Seis have been released; Cobra made a deal, information in exchange for the freedom of the Oracion Seis members."
"Thank you." She said only that and carried on walking. She changed her direction in order to find them. Once out of sight of Doranbolt she turned to her friends. "Listen, you guys need to go help Fairy Tail with Tartaros, they need your help. Me and Eureka will be there as soon as we can... We just have some business to attend to first. I'm sure you know what it is."
"Say no more, you do what you need to do." Sayuri smiled at her.
"Yeah, we can handle things." Kasume was confident.
"We'll have no problem beating these guys!" Rin clenched her fist.
"We can fight." Sayo waved from the back. Suzume, Tsuki and Moriko remained silent but smiled.
"Don't forget us too! We'll be there to help out too." Kazou flew up above them along with the other Exceeds.
"We'll go with them too." Luna stepped forward with Sol.
"Yeah, you don't need us being third wheels." Sol burst out laughing.
"They're in love." Luna pulled a silly face at them.
"Quiet cat!" Nevaeh was embarrassed and with that settled they went their separate ways.
Eureka and Nevaeh arrive upon the scene of the newly released Oracion Seis mid fight with Jellal, with Meredy standing worried at the side. Nevaeh jumped between Jellal and Midnight. Jellal's eyes were bleeding.
"Stop this! Right now!" Everyone stood back.
"W-What are you doing here, Nevaeh?" He remembered her, that little girl from the tower, with hair like sunshine and eyes like rain.
"I came to get you all." She helped Midnight up. "Doranbolt told me you guys were out."
"Yeah, first thing I want to do is have a shower." Angel stretched.
"Thought I smelt something..." Eureka joked but Angel wasn't happy.
"Angel, she was just..."
"Sorano..." She butted in. "My real name is Sorano."
"Yeah, I remember, and Erik, Sawyer, Richard, and of course Macbeth. Do you not remember me being there?"
"Vaguely, yes." Sawyer replied.
"I remember, you followed Macbeth round like a puppy, haha!" Erik began teasing her. "You also kept calling me brother, I remember that."
"I hate to ruin this for you, but this isn't the time to reminisce." Eureka said in a slightly annoyed tone, arms folded. "Fairy Tail is mid battle with Tartaros."
"What do you say guys? Will you come with us?" Nevaeh asked them all, including Jellal and Meredy.
"Count me out. I have no interest in any of it, I have my freedom now." Sawyer was being stubborn.
"We won't go, we won't go against the treaty of the Balam Alliance." Midnight was against her too.
"I will." Jellal stood up with Meredy's help.
"But Jellal... You can't fight in this condition." Meredy was deeply concerned because he couldn't see properly.
"Listen to me; we all have the same goal, to defeat Zeref. There is no more Balam Alliance anymore, I'm sorry; we need all the help we can get to fight an enemy of this calibre. Please, I promise you will have true freedom once it's all over." Just them a familiar face came strolling in.
"Rusty Rose!" Meredy was overjoyed. Rusty explained what happened with Tartaros and admitted he was scared of what lies within the Cube.
"Don't be afraid." Nevaeh reassured him. "Join us, I will help you find justice for what Tartaros did." After a lot of persuasion, the Oracion Seis reluctantly joined, as did Rusty, Jellal and Meredy. Nevaeh healed Jellal's eyes. "I promise, all of you, I will make things right. For everyone." She teleported them all to the area just under the cube, she then teleported all the members of Fairy Tail to that spot too.
"Hey, what's going on here?" Elfman shouted. They all looked over to Nevaeh.
"Nevaeh, what did you do? What's going on?" Makarov asked her.
"This fight... Will be the final fight. They will pay for what they did. They hurt my family." She was mildly angered, seeing Laxus like that again. Suddenly parts of the Cube began to explode. "This should draw them out. By the way, where is Wendy?" Just then Doranbolt appeared holding Wendy and Charla.
"They did it! They destroyed FACE." He said.
"Wow, who knew she had it in her." Suzume peeped from within the crowd.
"She has really grown." Kasume smiled.
"Don't underestimate her. Despite her size you mustn't forget, she's a dragon slayer too." Everyone was happy to hear this. Nevaeh had only spoken to Wendy a few times, but could tell that she had really come out of her shell. Just then the demons of Tartaros burst out of the Cube and were heading straight for them. "Get behind me!" Nevaeh ordered. Everyone went behind her as instructed and a magical barrier appeared, it was Nevaeh's enchantment spell, Freed had taught her how to make them.
"How can you make an enchantment so complex?" Jellal thought his was a difficult one, back in Nirvana.
"This enchantment will protect you and it can't be broken or undone, it is ever changing so the only way to make it disappear is by defeating me." Nevaeh smiled to them. "I won't let them hurt you anymore."
"This brat thinks she can take us all on by herself?" A voice came from above her. It was Ezel. Despite having been defeated by Wendy earlier, they had managed to regenerate him quickly.
"I don't think so, I know so." She readied herself. As Ezel's blade came down she dodged with ease and requipped into her Samurai Armour in the blink of an eye.
"She requips so fast, I've never seen anything like it!" Erza was startled.
"Yeah, she's faster than you, Erza!" Gray said, watching intently along with everyone else. Using two Katana at once she formed a cross with them, blocking Ezel's blades. She spun her body round and began to do a flip, half way through which she had summoned a third Katana and using the upside of her right foot she pushed the handle forward, sending the blade hurling towards him. Before she could attack him again, Jackal punched her, not only sending her flying but also leaving a bomb on her and the next thing she knew there was an explosion and she was surrounded by smoke. She quickly realised she could use the smoke to her advantage. Jackal came in for another punch but as soon as it landed her body disappeared. It was just a clone, the real Nevaeh was behind him, and she had managed to kick him upwards. He was sent flying but she noticed the bomb on her foot. She dismissed it and headed straight for another one of the demons; Tempester. The bomb exploded but she was unscaved.
"H-how, you too? You're just like that cherry head." Jackal got up onto one knee.
"Yeah, I'm the Sun Dragon Slayer; I have the same powers as Natsu." Something grabbed her and wrapped round her body. Kyouka had extended her claws.
"My curse allows me to heighten my enemy's senses. I can make you more sensitive to pain." She smirked, thinking she had the advantage. Nevaeh's right hand filled with lightening and her left filled with fire. The elements made their way round her body. She had entered lightening and fire dragon force modes simultaneously.
"I never knew such a thing was possible!" Natsu's mouth hung open at the sight of Nevaeh in lightening-flame dragon force mode. She had claws and scaled skin, her eyes were like a dragon's and her canine teeth protruded her lips.
"I knew she was powerful, but this is new even for me." Master Makarov was impressed but his face remained straight.
"It is Nevaeh, what do you expect?" Eureka looked on proudly. The others were too shocked to say anything and Midnight stood there thinking about how much Nevaeh had grown since their time in the Oracion Seis seven years ago. It has been a long time, but to have become so much stronger was unbelievable. Nevaeh flew towards Kyouka and punched her square in the face.
"This is nothing compared to what I can do now." Tempester moved forwards.
"Rumble." Upon uttering that word a cyclone enveloped Nevaeh and it spread to the surrounding area. Everyone flinched as it came towards them but the barrier Nevaeh had set up held the attack back. Once it cleared everyone could see that she was unaffected, she had dug her claws into the ground and held on. "Gust." A flurry of flames blasted outwards but Nevaeh ate them.
"Don't you listen? Attacks like that won't work on me, flames, and explosions and even lightening, I can just eat them and absorb them. It actually makes me stronger." She lunged at Tempester, delivering an electrifying punch to his abdomen. Next to take her on was Seilah.
"Goddess of the Chill Moon..." Nevaeh knew what was coming.
"I order you..."
"Your Macro won't work on me. You see, I'm like Mira, I have a Satan soul too."
"Very well then. I order you, release my limiter!" Seilah began to change form, into her true demon from. Her strength was over powering. With one hit Nevaeh was down on the ground, and she was using up a lot of magic power by staying in two modes of dragon force. Mard Geer appeared before them. Holding a book with the name E.N.D on it.
"You're not the only one with a limiter, Seilah." The guild members gasped. "Soul protection, release." A wave of energy came from her body, everyone could sense the increase in her power, the soul protection limiter was blocking off access to her second origin, but now Nevaeh can show her true power. She beat Seilah back quickly, however Seilah wasn't the only one she needed to worry about. Kyouka shouted to Mard Geer.
"We need to awaken our Master!"
"Awaken E.N.D?!" Erik took a step back, he could hear everyone else's fear too.
"Rusty, this is what you meant isn't it? This is what you were so afraid of." Meredy's panicked voice called over to him. He was too terrified to respond to her.
"Hate to ruin your plan, but that won't work." Nevaeh was calm and collected. Not because of her ability to use her full power though. "E.N.D's soul isn't in that book. The book you hold there, that's a fake!"
"What!" Mard Greer grimaced and opened the book only to find that she was right. "Where is the real one?"
"His soul isn't even in the real book either."
"How do you know?" He wasn't sure... but he could take a guess, the clues were there but if what he thought was true, then Tartaros would be finished in minutes...
