Chapter One
It was a typical night for the titans. They received a distress signal and arrived to the scene of the crime; Jump City's Mall. There, they encountered the Hive Five for yet another crime spree. It didn't take long for the titans to disperse. Each one fighting his or her own personal battle as they tried to figure out the full extent of the villains' plan. Minutes later, Robin managed to knock out Gizmo, followed by Cyborg upper cutting See-More. The scrawny boy shook his head before falling to the ground. Starfire and Raven were taking on Jinx while simultaneously saving nearby civilians. The young dark sorceress made use of this advantage as people ran from left and right. All while in the middle of their battle.
Beast Boy already took down Billy Numerous as he slowly made his way through the chaos. As a snake, he kept his appearance unknown even to his teammates. Jinx was pouring her power against Raven's as they were at a standstill when she felt something on her leg. The villain fell as her entire body became retrained by the changeling. Unfortunately for the titans, her mouth was left undisturbed.
"Now, Mammoth!" Shouted the leader.
On the second floor, Mammoth appeared with a detonating device in his hand.

"Katie!" Shouted an older lady. A young teen fell on the floor along with a pile of clothes in her arms. The mound of clothes dampened the impact as she quickly got up. She told herself she would get that cleaned up right away after seeing her supervisor. She made her way to the front.
"Yes, Mrs. Nigh?"
Standing across the counter was her supervisor and a large box that was partially opened. "I want you to check in these products before sorting them out."
"Yes. Mrs. Nigh." Katie took the box into the back room. She began looking for the invoice as she heard an alarm going off. Mrs. Nigh was going to be mad if this isn't done in an orderly fashion. She only planned to check them off before running outside, figuring that they were only performing a practice drill. Unfortunately for Katie, it was the start of the Titans' battle against the Hives. "Let's see..."

Upon activation, several stores were exploding left and right. Toys, mannequins, foods and other stuff were thrown in the air as walls were collapsing from the multiple explosions. The Titans have no choice but to assist in rescuing any people still inside. Their diverted attention brought the Hives an opportunity to escape as they left with several bags of money and items.
Just as Beast Boy was about to leave, he heard a series of cries. He shifted into a monkey as he climbed to the second floor. In the clothes store, he could hear cries for help, but had trouble finding the source by the fire brewing from within. He pleaded for guidance as he slowly got closer to the sounds. It came from the back of the store as he found a lone store clerk under a pile of rubble. She struggled to escape as she pleaded for help. More debris fell as Beast Boy shifted into a gorilla. Using his strength, he began with the bigger cement pieces. Fortunately for the clerk girl, she was inside a pile of clothes as they took more of the blow of the hard rocks. Minor scrapes and bruises were all he quickly saw before picking up the girl. She wrapped her arms around his neck, wishing never to part ways as she continued with her shriek of fright. The young hero reassured her that they were going to make it through this. Despite his true form, he was not as puny as one expected. Even with the girl, he managed to carry her off without much trouble. Towards the end, he had to turn into a pterodactyl as the front entrances were caved in by the rubble. The two were safely on the ground when he returned to his original form.
"It's okay now. We're safe..." And as he spoke those lines, the girl's leg gave out. Her sobs were still prevalent as he held onto the girl. He spoke of how scary it must be and reassured he that he wasn't going anywhere until she calmed down. Paramedics arrived to them to evaluate their injuries. Beast Boy insisted he was fine, though the clerk girl was a different story. When the man asked for her to follow him to get patched up, the young girl tightened her grip on Beast Boy until they got near an ambulance where she got medical attention.
"Robin to Beast Boy, report! Are you okay?"A voice called out from his waist.
Taking out his communicator, Beast Boy answered. "Beast Boy to Robin, I'm alright."
"Good, the Hive Five managed to escape. Come back to the Tower at once."
"Um..." The girl flinched when she felt his grip loosening. "I may be a little late..."
