They are nearly at Magnolia.
"Hey I just thought of something, isn't it curious that you and Natsu use the same magic too? You said it was curious about me and Yukino but what about you two?" Sorano enquired, remembering what Nevaeh had pointed out.
"Not really. You see Atlas Flame wasn't the first dragon to teach me, Igneel was, a long time ago. I'll explain it properly tomorrow, like I said." She didn't want to sound rude but tonight she just wanted to have fun.
"I'm afraid we must leave you here. I don't think it would be wise for humans to see us." They looked back to see Jackal and the demons had stopped a few metres back. "Because of what we are, and what we did."
"Nothing that can't be forgiven, but it would be wise to give it some time. I'll talk to the townspeople and see if I can get them to understand."
"Thank you, Nevaeh. It means a lot that you'd do that for us, after everything."
"Like I said, nothing that can't be forgiven." With that they parted ways.
"Ugh, this hill is so steep, I hate it." Kasume complained.
"I like it; it reminds me that we're nearly home." Nevaeh dropped the bag she was carrying and ran up the hill, once she reached the top she sat down and admired the view, it was later afternoon and the whole of Magnolia was bustling after what had happened, they wondered what had happened to the Fairy Tail guild hall and where all the wizards were. It had been some time since they had heard anything and the townsfolk were in a state of mild panic and fear. Nevaeh stood up and shot fire into the air, which blew outwards and formed a huge phoenix in the sky. As the others approached they could hear the faint sound of cheering.
"Don't forget your bag." Eureka reminded her.
"Oh, yeah." She ran back down the hill and grabbed her bag and ran back up, upon reaching the top again she lost her footing and fell onto her back and she slid all the way down it. Everyone laughed and she laughed along too. When they finally made it into town they were greeted with a cheering crowd. Some kids came up to Nevaeh.
"Nevaeh, is it okay if Macbeth plays with us for a while?" One of them asked.
"Can I mum? Please?" He begged her.
"Haha, of course you can, just don't be out too late, okay?"
"I won't I promise, thanks mum, I'll see you later, bye dad!" He waved as he ran off to play with his friends. They approached the guild hall which was still in ruins.
"Ummm, seventh master?" Lucy approaches her. "How are we going to have a party when our guildhall is in ruins?"
"We gran what we can and take the party to Kedelia!"
"That's perfect!" Eureka and Sol shares a high five and everyone else whispered amongst themselves, full of excitement at returning the the grand mansion that is Kedelia.
Everyone got inside and started on the booze. Cana had already gone through three barrels. Nevaeh was borderline drunk. Midnight was very drunk.
"Wait!" Midnight slurred. "You seriously live here?"
"Hell yeah we do!" Nevaeh gave a goofy smile. They all stumbled in one after another. Nevaeh and Eureka brought out more drinks from the cellar, she even poured one down Midnight's neck. Macbeth came back home.
"I remember my first drink." He said.
"What are you talkin' 'bout, you're seven, you shouldn't be drinkin'." Nevaeh was getting really drunk by now.
"Well there was one time you were away I kinda tried some sake, it was nice so I had some more." He admitted, he wasn't even worried about getting into trouble.
"Did you get drunk?"
"Yes."
"Did you pass out?"
"No."
"Then you didn't drink enough, here have some."
"Great parenting, Nevaeh!" Suzume said sarcastically, most of them did find it strange that she let her son drink.
"Hey kid's gotta try it some time, right?" Midnight backed her up.
"What? What is wrong with you two?" Sawyer exclaimed.
"Hey, lighten up, it's a party and we can keep an eye on him." Midnight held up a glass then necked it. Then they lost sight of him.
"That's the way to do it!" She wrapped her arm round him. Gildarts finally arrived. Nevaeh had sent Luna to find him and give him an update on what had happened and an invite to the party. He mingled with everyone and drank.
"So Gildarts..." Nevaeh slammed down her glass. "I heard while you were on a mission you found Acnologia?"
"Yeah...?"
"You must have gone pretty far right?"
"Yeah...?"
"Well you wouldn't have walked the whole way right?"
"Yeah... look what's your point?"
"Must have been an expensive trip, did it cost you an arm and a leg?" She burst into laughter, a few people spat their drinks out and others gasped.
"Nevaeh!" Gildarts wasn't amused.
"Haha, I went there." He right hooked her and sent her flying.
"Although to be fair... it was a good joke." Gildarts smirked a little.
"Ugh, I just see two of everything." Sayo groaned.
"Stop moving guys, I can't keep up." Sayuri was slumped on the couch.
"I have double vision..." Eureka said.
"Erik just gets normal vision... get it cos he has one eye?"
"Nevaeh, you idiot, you healed him, don't you remember?" Sorano huffed at her for forgetting.
"And that's still offensive!" Erik punched her in anger.
"Aw, c'mon guys, you know I'm only jokin' right?"
"Yeah, we know, but still." Erik and Gildarts shouted in unison, they were still a little mad about it.
"Too soon?" She looked to Eureka and then to Midnight.
"Too soon." They replied together.
"Yup." Natsu confirmed. He wanted to laugh though. There was a knock on the door. Nevaeh went to open it.
"Guys look who turned up!" She rushed through dragging a familiar girl through. Others were right behind them.
"Coco!" Lucy exclaimed. It was the Legion Platoon.
"Remember when they were all like 'we'll probably spend the rest of our lives scattering the clock pieces blah blah blah, I was like screw that, I'll get rid of those pieces and you can come see us again." Nevaeh wrapped her arm round Coco which had taken her by surprise and she let out a little squeal.
"Hecate?" Midnight burst out. He ran over to Mary Hughes.
"Do I like, know you dude? And my name isn't Hecate, it's Mary."
"Of course, you were just a baby, but I can tell it's you, your hair and your eyes, there's no doubt about it. It's me, Macbeth."
"Midnight?" Nevaeh wondered how he knew her.
"But he just said his name was Macbeth..."
"Yeah, well I named our son after him, so I still call him Midnight so no one gets confused." Nevaeh explained to her.
"Well I'm like totes confused right now. Like, how do you know me?" She turned back to Midnight.
"You're my little sister."
"No way!" Nevaeh never knew he had a sister.
"When our village was destroyed I lost sight of you, and then I was taken away."
"All I remember is growing up in the church, and my name is Mary Hughes..."
"Heh, I like it, it suits you, but your real name is Hecate. He smiled. They sat and talked for a long time, as it turns out a member of Zentopia had found her amongst the chaos and took her to the church, they had never told her about where she came from. Everyone had a great time, Jackal and the other demons turned up had passed out, Cana was still managing to drink and Mavis's ghost was watching everyone have a good time. She looked a little sad. Erik and Kinana were talking together, Erik was telling her all about his time in the tower and Kinana listened intently. Sorano and Yukino shared their stories. The alcohol was wearing off and the night came to a close. Nevaeh noticed Macbeth sneak Asuka a cheeky kiss, she was going to use that against him later, but with the room spinning she just wanted to sleep.
The next morning was filled with the groans of hung-over fairies. All but Cana were in alcohol induced hell.
"How is she not feeling it?" Midnight enquired.
"That's Cana for ya, she's an alcoholic." Eureka answered.
"Yeah, but she's our alcoholic." Nevaeh added. All the Exceeds were still having a cat nap and Macbeth was wrapped up in at least five blankets. The demons woke up rubbing their heads and Jackal had something scrawled on his face.
"My brother...is a...lightweight?" Seilah read out loud. It was difficult to read as it had been smudged and was written on his forehead and cheeks. It was obviously Macbeth's handy work.
"Aww, he called Jackal his brother!" Nevaeh lit up. "Isn't that so cute?"
"Wait, I don't remember becoming his father." Midnight groaned with his head heavy on the table.
"It happened last night when you lost the bet." Cana sat straight with a beer in her hand.
"What bet? And how in the hell are you drinking now?" Midnight was confused and couldn't remember several things from last night. He went to get up and accidentally stood on Nevaeh who was slumped against his chair.
"Ouch!"
"Sorry, I didn't know you were there. I don't even remember sitting down here."
"That's a sign you had a good night." Nevaeh pulled herself up and went to go outside for some fresh air. When she opened the doors to the garden she saw Erza and Gray talking.
"Sorry, I don't want to interrupt, there's food inside by the way."
"Thanks, we'll be in shortly." Gray answered.
"Oh, and Gray?"
"Yes?"
"Put on some clothes please." She went back inside. Nevaeh, with the aid of Eureka, Mirajane, Freed and Elfman, made breakfast for everyone. Natsu, Lucy, Sorano and Richard started getting everyone up. When Macbeth finally woke up he went over to Jackal.
"I'm sorry I drew on your face..." He apologised sincerely but still half asleep.
"You called me brother..." Jackal said with no emotion.
"Yeah, well seeing as mum made you, it's kinda like..."
"But I'm not like you..."
"Hey, Mum brought us both into this world one way or another, it doesn't matter how, we're both here and I consider you to be my big brother." He smiled then yawned.
"I have... a little brother!" Jackal started tearing up and picked Macbeth up with both hands, he looked so small the way Jackal held him. Jackal gave Macbeth a piggy back over to the table and put him on the seat next to him. The table was just long enough to seat everyone. There were still a few groans and complaints of headaches but that faded after a while.
"Does anyone know why I'm missing a bra?" Yukino asked.
"Oh, it must be yours then." Sting went over to her to give it back to her.
"W-what... Why...?" Yukino blushed.
"You jackass!" Sorano growled. "What did you do to my little sister?"
"She's pretty fierce for an angel." Rogue whispered to Sting.
"I heard that! I also know you groped her!"
"It was an accident!" Rogue protested.
"Fro believes Rogue." Frosch sat on Rogue's lap.
"C'mon guys, chill out." Nevaeh tried to calm them all down. Their fuss was hurting some people's heads even more. Luna came floating in with Neku, the newest addition to the Exceeds. She gave Neku to Macbeth and Neku went under his shirt, popping his head out underneath Macbeth's chin, this way Macbeth could feed him easily. Luna then landed softly on Nevaeh's head. "Hey, you want any food?" Nevaeh asked.
"No thanks, I just want to sleep." And with that she started purring and had fallen asleep on Nevaeh's head.
"Everyone, you're more than welcome to stay as long as you want." Nevaeh told them.
"I still don't understand why pointy-hair had Yukino's bra!" Sorano grumbled.
"Thanks, but we need to get back soon, Milliana will probably stay though, she's been making kitty eyes at your son, Jackal, all night." Lesley looked over to where Milliana was. She was sat on the other side of Jackal and they were talking to each other.
"Oooh, perhaps a new romance is blossoming?" Jackal blushed. "That's both my sons in love, how sweet."
"What are you talking about, I'm not..." Macbeth protested .
"Asuka."
"But... I..." He couldn't argue back and as he looked over to Asuka who then smiled at him, he couldn't help but blush and he couldn't hide it.
"So Lucy." Kasumi leaned in. "You're with this pink haired boy right?"
"What!" Lucy burst out. Natsu stopped eating and observed what was going on."
"Might as well tell them Luce." He said.
"Aw I knew it, it's nice that you've found someone." Kasumi smiled.
"I'm happy for you Lucy." Sayuri smiles sofftly.
"Well, there's no escaping it now... I guess we are a couple." Lucy admitted.
"At last!" Nevaeh stood up.
"We've been waiting for this moment!" Eureka did the same and the two of them started to clap.
"What about you two, Gray? Juvia?" Nevaeh turned everyone's attention towards them.
"I don't know..." Gray began.
"C'mon Gray, you can't have ice without water."
"Uh..." He sighed. "Juvia, will you be... my girlfriend?"
"Of course I will, my love!" She grabbed hold of him. "I've been waiting forever to hear those words. My darling Gray, I promise I'll be the best girlfriend I can be."
"Look what you've started; she won't be quiet for ages now." Gray looked stressed.
"I'm sorry Gray, I was just so happy, I'll be quiet now." Juvia calmed down and seemed kind of sad.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean... I get it, you're happy, just please try and contain it a little."
"Okay." Juvia held his hand and smiled, he smiled back.
"Now we have an announcement!" Sawyer and Eureka stood together.
"We're getting married!" Eureka showed off her ring.
"What! How could you not have told me first! I'm your best friend!" She began weeping dramatically.
"I did tell you! Last night when sawyer asked me! You were really drunk."
"I thought I just dreamt that..."
"Congrats you guys!" Sayo clapped again. It was love fever in Fairy Tail, it all came out who wanted to be with whom and soon enough almost every couple was 'official'. Nevaeh had hoped for this for a long time, to see everyone happy like that. There were some unexpected parings; Sayo x Freed, Luna x Lector, Moriko x Richard, Kasumi x Rufus (No one knew they even knew each other, but it turns out they met at the grand magic games), Rin x Sho, Sayuri x Wally, Sorano x Dan (He never did give up, bless him), and the most unexpected one of all was Jackal x Milliana. Suzume and Lyon made it official too; it was as if there was no barrier anymore and everyone just put their cards on the table.
"Nevaeh, I forgot to ask... how did you know Erigor?" Natsu asked.
"How do you know she knew him?" Eureka asked him.
"Because I remember something at the infinity clock thing. She waved to him."
"Remember the Lullaby incident? Well Eureka and I were on our way to Clover for a job request. We ran along that bridge to get there and we bumped into him, literally."
"Yeah, Nevaeh knocked him off the bridge." Eureka added.
"But, I managed to grab him and pull him up. He didn't seem too mad... Then I noticed the flute, when we got to Clover we thought of a way to distract people so they wouldn't hear it if it was played."
"Nevaeh sang to everyone!" Eureka chuckled.
"Was I really that bad?"
"No, your singing was fine; your dance however was another story! You were just so nervous!" Nevaeh turned red.
"Okay, now everyone's awake... let's rebuild our guildhall!" Heavy groans filled Kedelia. But they got on with it and a week later, their new, better than every guildhall was up and operational.
"It's amazing! Look what we can do when we put our minds and muscles together!" Nevaeh was proud.
"We ... are... exhausted!" Eureka was panting.
"You worked us like slaves!" Gray added.
"Yes, but look what we managed in a week!"
"Not only that, but most of magnolia seems to have returned to normal." Lucy picked herself up with the last of her strength to join the conversation.
"Oh and I have something else to say." Nevaeh's tone was stern. Groans filled the guildhall. "I announce Makarov Dreyer to be the eighth guild master of Fairy Tail!"
"What!" He was shook. "You can't do this to me, I'm going to end up being guildmaster until I die! I was going to retire."
"Retire? Who are you trying to kid, gramps. You think we're going to let go of you that easily?" Nevaeh hugged him. The continent returned to its normal regime. For now.
