The bubblegum-haired young woman sprinted down the uneven sidewalk with her black, leather coat in one hand and her other hand inserting her wand away in her widened -pocket trying to race against the clock on her way to the ministry.

Tonks slowed down her pace to a jog considering she was completely out of breath running two miles across London. Off in the distance, the stressed 21-year-old could see the ministry building emerging from the fog.

She advanced to the next block, about to turn the corner when she saw a man head her way. She slid off in the other direction when her foot hinged between the crack in the sidewalk causing her to collide into the unknown man and fall forward.

The man looked up, startled because people had tried to humiliate him on purpose because of his exhausting condition. Instead of finding an obnoxious woman ranting on and on about how he was a filthy half-breed, he saw a bubbly lady whose face immediately turned to an embarrassing scarlet type of red. Surely, she would've been kind, anyway; she was most definitely a muggle — for sure.

The rising sun glowed in Tonks' face as she made her way off Remus. She felt a burning shock going through her pale hand once she stood up. She also saw a nearly empty cup of coffee cup with coffee spewed out all over the rocky sidewalk.

"Oh my Merlin," she began, trying her hardest to keep her hair the same shade of pink it was earlier. "I am so sorry."

Remus winced at the near sight of spilt coffee dripping from his arm. He brushed the stains on his shirt, making them worse than they were before.

"It's all right," he smiled, slightly. "It was my fault. I should've-"

Tonks interjected, "No, I was the one who was running around like a buffoon."

Remus smirked at the fact of the young woman's sudden clumsiness; Tonks fumbled into her pocket and pulled out three coins lying at the bottom, not acknowledging what type of coins they really were.

"Here." She handed them to him smiling, sheepishly. Seeing how reluctant Remus was being, she tried to convince him by telling him, "It's the least I can do. Please take it."

After a moment of thinking, he nodded his head and opened his palm, which was glazed with a layer of dirt.

"Thank you," he paused, implying the last into a question. "Tonks," she replied. "The name's Tonks." He raised his hand, and Tonks shook it.

"Remus Lupin. Pleasure meeting you." Tonks blushed lightly, for she had met no one like this — over… spilt coffee! She quickly shuffled to the edge of the sidewalk, realising she had been standing in the middle of the path for quite some time.

DING! DONG! Moments after, the clock tower roared through the city with a certain bell - a certain bell that only sounded when it had struck seven o'clock. Tonks shifted her head towards the clock with a look of panic on her face.

"Oh my Merlin! God! I'm late for the min- for work." Her words spurted out so fast, Remus tried his best to comprehend what she was trying to say.

She turned back to him with a nervous look and said, "Well, it was nice meeting you, Remus." She walked backwards, picking up her pace. "Hope you have a great rest of your day!" She waved him goodbye with a cheerful smile, twirled around, and within seconds, she disappeared around the corner.
