The Royal Baby:
Rapunzel woke up feeling pretty sickly that morning. She pushed away the feeling and got ready. She took a quick shower and put on her best dress to go visit her parents for breakfast. "Sunshine are you almost ready?" Her loving fiancée Eugene called from her room. "Yes love I am almost ready!" She said while braiding her long blonde hair using Varian's hair machine. She stepped out and smiled at him. "Blondie you look beautiful." He said to her. "Thank you Eugene. I love you a lot my King." She said to him sweetly. "I love you to Rapunzel." Eugene said taking her hand in his. Rapunzel felt a sudden wave of nausea. "Rapunzel? Are you ok?" Eugene asked noticing how pale she was. "I'm ok. Let's go get some breakfast." She offered. Eugene nodded not wanting to press her on. They walked out to the dining room balcony and joined Rapunzel's parents. "Hey mom hey dad." Rapunzel said to her parents as she sat down. "Hello sweetheart." Her dad said. "Morning my child." Her mom said. Both parents smiled happily at Rapunzel. Eugene day next to Rapunzel and they began to eat. Eugene started to talk of his travels with King Frederick when Rapunzel felt another wave of nausea. She felt as though she were going to throw up. "M-May I please be excused?" Rapunzel asked. Her father looked at her with concern. "Yes darling. Is everything alright?" He asked her. "Yes. I just forgot I was going to fix something for Cass when she comes in today." Rapunzel lies. Man she hated lying. "Alright see you shortly." Her mom said to her. "Blondie are you sure your ok?" Eugene said to her holding her hand. "Yes love I am perfectly ok. I love you." She said kissing him softly. He kissed her back softly and nodded. She ran off to her room and closed the door. She ran to her bathroom and started throwing up. She didn't even hear her best friend walk in. "Raps I'm here! I- Raps? You ok?" Cass asked her through the door. "No I feel really sick. I don't know what's wrong with me." She said. "Hmmm when did this start?" Cass asked her. "Monday morning." Rapunzel said. By this time it was Friday. "Has it been happening only in the morning?" Cass asked her looking at her tummy. "Yes... why?" Rapunzel asked noticing Cass look at her tummy. "Raps have you and Eugene... done things?" Cass asked. "Yeah... that night he proposed..." she said. Then it clicked in her head. "I'm Pregnant!" "You're pregnant!" Both girls said at the same time. "I'm gonna be a mom! Oh my god!" Rapunzel said crying happy tears. "We don't know for sure. I'll go get a test kit from the royal nurse." Cass said getting up. Rapunzel got up to follow. "Oh no Raps you lay down. If you are expecting you need plenty of rest." Cass instructed her. Rapunzel did as told and laid down.
What seemed like hours later, Cass had returned with a test kit. "Raps I got the kit." Cass said looking at the princess who was laying down. "I hope we're right!" Rapunzel said excitedly. Cass giggles nodding in agreement. "Ok for this I need you to go use the bathroom and then wait for it to dry. If there's one line it's not a baby if it's two it's a baby. Then we will try the other two." Cass said handing Rapunzel the supplies. Rapunzel nodded and ran to the restroom. Twenty minutes later the princess came back holding the supplies. "It's two lines." Rapunzel said smiling. "Ok here. Put that one in this baggy and try these two." Cass said handing her the rest of the supplies. Rapunzel took them and went to the restroom where she drank a lot of water. Another 20-40 minutes later she came back smiling widely. "It's a baby!!!!!" Rapunzel whisper screamed. "Raps! Congrats! Wait until you tell Eugene!" Cass said bringing Rapunzel back to reality. "Oh... oh no... he's gonna freak out... oh no..." Rapunzel said freaking out herself. Cass places her hands on Rapunzel's shoulders. "Raps it'll be ok I promise you." Cass said pulling Rapunzel into a hug. "Ok. I'll tell him tonight." She said smiling. "At the lantern festival?" Cass asked her. "Yes. I'll show him a lantern with me him and the baby on it." Rapunzel said to Cass. "Awww adorable!" Cass said smiling. "I'd better get to it." Rapunzel said. Cass nodded and let Rapunzel get to it.
Rapunzel spent the rest of her afternoon getting ready and preparing the lantern. She was pretty tired but happy by the time it completely dried. She decided to change into a light purple dress with lacy sleeves. She opted for no shoes and headed out to the festival. She hid her lantern just out of sight from Eugene. The plan was to grab Eugenes attention and then show him. It didn't take her long before she found him. "Eugene! Hey!" She said smiling brightly. Eugene picked her up and twirled her. "Hey blondie where have you been? Are you ok?" He asked holding her close to him. "I'm more than ok! Actually I have something to give you." She said smiling. "Oh really? Cool what is it!" He said to her. "Close your eyes." She said as he did so. She grabbed the lantern and placed it in his hands. "Open!" She said. He opened his eyes and saw the little family on the lantern. He stepped back smiling. "Does this mean?" He started to say. "Eugene we're expecting!" Rapunzel said excitedly. "I'm gonna be a dad!" He said happily. "We're gonna be grandparents!" Her mom and dad said coming up to them. "Imma be an aunt!" Cass said smiling. "I love you Eugene!" Rapunzel said smiling. "I love you more Rapunzel." He said pulling her in for a kiss. Then they both let the lantern go and smiled.
