~Snowcrystal of Thunderclan~
I did too, hence why I changed Clint's name XD
I usually try to, did I forget one? Maybe Fila? Cause she's Feathertail Xd
Rambling's fun though! And I'm a lazy butt and let this sit in my google drive for a week… I'm sorry!
I can try, but do you have any ideas for a plot? I really enjoyed Turtle Tail x Gray Wing when I read the series a while back Xd I was thinking maybe Thunder's adopted or he's Gray Wing and Turtle Tail's but Turtle Tail's vanished? Like she did in the books but for different reasons?
XD
Hmm… I can definitely try doing more chapters like that one, what in particular do you like about it?
Huh? Oh, Leah's ex-husband isn't book related at all, I tried to come up with one but couldn't think of anything soo XD
I love Leaffeather as a couple too, I just haven't written them before till that point, but I may have a few plans, particularly with crabby toddler Jay who's irritating but adorable XD
What do you want more of? Like which parts? Leah and Clint? Or Jay and the gang at their varying ages? Oh, can I just say that I loved their personalities in this one XD They all act so much more… I don't know what the word is, but they really act and grow up differently with Clint as their step-father Xd
(And yes, sneaky Jay for the win! XD)
But my story is rated T… XD To be honest it's mainly just Cynthia's language and a few deeper topics here and there :P I'm just not a fan of monitoring my own writing and it makes it hard to write Xd
~IDidn'tSignUp4This~
I'm so glad you liked it! It may have taken who knows how long, but it happened! And it's beautiful!
~Ivystorm~
First off, may I just say that I loved getting a million reviews from you? I love it! :D :D
You can do whatever you like my friend! Although admittedly the more times I'm spammed with reviews and requests via email notifications the faster I write chapters XD
(Chapter 153)
Hey, you can have whatever language you want, that's up to you my friend :D I like the rewrite too, now if only I could finish it faster and not be stuck on part 3 XD
(CHapter 154)
I meant something akin to bad karma :P Bree's a really nice girl, and so there's bound to be something bad that happens to her to balance out the world :P It's totally deafening, like borderline eardrum breaking loud XD
(Chapter 155)
Oooh, Briarfeather's your OTP? Then you my friend are going to love one of the upcoming chapters! XD
(Chapter 156)
Really? I'm nervous people will call me vulgar, but I'm going to do it anyway! Well mostly Xd
(Chapter 157)
Why not say both of them are you OTP? Cinderblaze and Briarfeather are even in my books :P
(Chapter 5)
I didn't, but yes, yes I did read hunger games at some point in my high school years :P It's been a while though, I had a hard time getting into it XD Although I've always pondered about doing my own Human Warriors Hunger Games with the Fighting For Love and Hope characters Xd
I did? Thanks for catching it! I'm usually too lazy to proof read and edit these cause they're supposed to be short and written on a whim for the most part Xd (Although I'm debating about redoing Flashes vs the Dark Blades… XD)
(Chapter 6)
My StarClan that one is really short jeez! XD I didn't realize exactly how short those ones back then are XD
(Chapter 7)
*Squirms uncomfortably* It a work in progress? Basically I've had the request sitting around forever I just haven't figure out exactly how I want it done Xd
(Chapter 8)
What does "!" mean? XD
(Chapter 9)
Oh no, did I make you cry? I'm so sorry! I know that one's old, but it's one of the few that really play with your emotions XD
(CHApter 10)
Yes, yes it is :P And I finally (after writing this for almost four years, experience it myself! :D)
(Chapter 11)
Really? This one really bugs me XD I've been thinking about rewriting it, but I'm not sure Xd
I have no idea where this came from as per usual, but I guess it's interesting? I write too many weird things Xd Also, do you guys want more frequent updates or longer chapters? Cause I'm working on some longer chapters, namely Her Second Chance, Pretending Sequel (Yes, I'm stiill working on this), Flashes vs the Dark blades REWRITE, and some other ones that I haven't finished, but I freak out and feel guilty when the updates take a million years it feels like XD
All Couples Argue, Even Cynthia and Leon
"Cynthia open the door!" Rain poured over Leon, streaming down his face and making it hard to see as he pounded on the door, "for the love of StarClan please!"
No response.
"Cynthia!"
Still nothing.
"Darn it!" Leon slammed his fist into the door and rested his face against the door, shoulders slumping and beginning to shake with emotion. "I'm sorry," he yelled, trying to get her to listen to him, "StarClan, Cynthia I'm sorry! You know I didn't mean that!"
"Then think before you speak you ass!" Cynthia's voice was muffled through the door, but Leon's heart squeezed at the faint octave change in her voice that he could hear. She was crying again.
"Y-you're crying?" Leon said in something close to disbelief, blinking through the raindrops and moving toward the window next to her door, hoping to catch sight of his mate. Who had literally locked him out of their house, with his keys inside of the said house.
"No, I'm completely unfazed that my mate called me overweight at a time like this!" Cynthia shouted back, her volume raising in sarcasm and indignation. He could see her vaguely through the rain covered window, mainly just the back of her head from her position sitting with her back to the door with her knees pulled up to her chest. "You can sit out there in the freaking rain for all I care Leon!"
"I didn't mean it!" Leon pleaded, shivering from the rain, "Cynthia I swear I didn't mean it!"
"I don't believe you!" Cynthia snapped back and Leon jumped when the door rattled when she hit it in return for his repeated knocking. "Go haul your sorry ass to your siblings and get off of my porch!"
"Cynthia this is my house too!" Leon snapped, irritation coloring his tone as he lost his patience. "You can't just lock me out of the house!"
"Try me!"
"It's my house!" Leon snapped back and moved to grasp the doorknob, "now let me in! It's raining cats and dogs out here!"
"Go to hell!" Cynthia yelled back and Leon could help but smile in amusement for a brief second at her foul language and beautifully angry tone. Before it melted off his face to be replaced with irritation.
"Stop overreacting and open the door, or so help me Cynthia I will break this door down!" Leon snapped and grasped the doorknob, "you're overreacting!"
"Overreacting my ass," Cynthia snapped, "get away from me you-"
"Cynthia, I love you, but open the damn door!" Leon hastened to cut her off before she really swore at him, "I'm not catching a cold and thereby giving it to you just because you're butt hurt about something I didn't mean to say and you know that!"
"Our bond's defective remember?" Cynthia snapped back rather harshly, "you can't get me sick unless you get near me and I'm not leaving this house, and there's no way in hell I'm letting you in!"
"Cynthia stop overreacting!" Leon snarled, losing his patience with the freezing rain constantly hitting his skin. "Open this door right now!"
He didn't realize he had used a command till the door clicked, unlocked, and it slowly swung open to reveal his mate.
Where Cynthia stood numbly in front of the door, blue eyes vaguely distant and obedient as the alpha command did it's work and forced her to do what he had said. She looked blankly past him, standing still in an almost robotic position moving nothing more than to breathe, while guilt hit Leon like a truck.
"StarClan…" Leon had promised himself and her that he wouldn't overpower her agency and force her to do anything. Yet he was standing in front of her, staring at her as she blinked and her eyes refocused, staring dumbly at him as her head tried to catch up with what happened. "Cynthia, I had no idea that would happen," Leon pleaded with Cynthia as her eyes adopted a fresh glitter of hurt with added betrayal. "I didn't mean for that to activate."
"Out," Cynthia spoke and pointed to the doorway behind him, "now."
"Cynthia please," Leon pleaded, looking wide- eyed at her. "I didn't mean for the command to activate!"
"Either you step out that door in the next five seconds Leon," Cynthia spoke bitterly, "or I force you."
Leon moved to touch her cheek, where tear trails were visible, but stopped imeadiately when she flinched and moved away from him, anger and hurt gleaming in her pretty blue eyes. So he swallowed the pain gripping his heart and turned on his heel before trudging back out into the rain, welcoming the chill against his body as he heard the door slam and rattle behind him. With his hands shoved deep into his pockets he headed toward his sister's house. Holly? He asked his sister tentatively with telepathy. Something he had forgotten about earlier in the heat of the argument and being kicked out of the house.
What did you do now Leon?
Pissed off your best friend and accidentally hurt her feelings. Leon sighed, I'm kicked out of the house.
Again? Good grief Leon, you need to watch what you say to her, especially right around now.
I know, Leon sighed, Cynthia's mood swings are horrible.
She wouldn't be so hard to deal with if you'd just listen to what she wants and take care of it for her. Come on over, Cynthia's emotions are strong enough that I can feel it with our friendship bond. She's not letting you in for a while.
Is she okay? Leon asked quietly, feeling more guilt riddle his body and weigh it down like a one-hundred pound weight.
She's crying, Holly reported, but Cynthia tends to cry all the time now.
What about her sternum? Are you getting any signs of pain from her?
Why? Can't you tell?
No… She… blocked me out… Leon admitted awkwardly.
I can't tell, the bond doesn't invade her privacy, but I'd guess so judging by the way she was glaring at me earlier when I stopped by.
Holly sent him flashes of her and Cynthia's earlier conversation and Leon blinked owlishly for a moment, then sighed and trudged on through the rain. I hate myself.
Take a breath and crash on the couch. Cynthia needs space right now I'll wake you when I feel her calm down.
Leon tentatively knocked on the front door of his house. It was now morning, ten in the morning with sunny skies and birds chirping nearby. The question was was Cynthia going to kill him? Or was she okay now? Usually she calmed down by morning and let him in, so he was hoping for a similar situation.
However, there was no response from the other side of the door and Leon sighed, retreating to the porch steps and sitting down on them. Leaning forward with his shoulders hunched. I'm sorry… He winced after saying the telepathic words, wincing as his mate's alpha level mental defenses harshly swiped at him, making a headache bloom at the back of his head. Taking the hint, Leon fell silent and just sat there, staring out into the empty street.
He didn't dare move when he heard soft footsteps, nor did he move when Cynthia's lithe form occupied his left peripherals as she sat down next to him with a pain filled hiss at the uncomfortable spot.
Leon looked at her out of the corner of his eye while remaining silent. Taking her messy hair and sleep-deprived blue eyes into account before silently checking her for injuries and other inconsistencies.
Cynthia said nothing for a while, tucking her hair behind her ear and not looking at him. She looked tired, rather worse for wear like she hadn't slept at all last night, a usual occurrence when they were split up, and a little apologetic.
"I'm… I'm sorry," the proud female wild murmured, forcing out the words with a shaking voice. "You… you hurt my feelings," she stuttered before ending the sentence childishly, hugging herself and warding herself from the cold.
Leon said nothing for a moment, before he sighed and turned his head toward her, looking at despite how she was stubbornly not looking back at him. Sure, right now she had the maturity of a five-year-old, but she was still his mate, he still loved her, and besides, it was his fault she was like the way she was. Or at least that's what she told him on a daily basis for the past four months.
"I'm sorry," Leon apologized quietly, not completely sure he was apologizing for other than for any and every mistake he's made for the past four months. "I'm sorry I hurt you, I didn't mean to."
Cynthia grunted and said nothing, still avoiding looking at him.
Leon said nothing too, and together they sat in silence for a few moments. Until Cynthia caved and looked at him, blue eyes anxious and searching his for multiple things, one of which was regret for the situation they were in together. Which despite Cynthia's mood swings, permanently hair trigger temper, and wacky food choices, he didn't regret it, not one bit. "I'm sorry," he repeated softly when she looked at him, "I didn't mean it, promise."
Cynthia swallowed hard and nodded before she scooted closer to him on the porch steps and cuddled into his side with an emotional hiccup. I'm sorry, she murmured telepathically as she hiccuped again and rubbed at her eyes, I know you're upset I'm so out of control.
Leon curled an arm around her shoulders and lightly shook his head, watching her try to keep it together. I'm not upset, I know it's hard for you to control your emotions right now. If anything it's my fault for not listening to the warning signs. He drew her a little closer, I'm sorry I seemed to be ignoring you and then said that to you.
Cynthia was silent for so long that Leon wondered if she was still furious at him, only for his heart to break at her quiet words. I'm sorry I've physically changed, she murmured quietly, ducking her head down and hiding her face with her hoodie sleeves and his jacket. I don't want you to be unhappy with me.
Leon felt like his heart just shattered into a million pieces at the blatant self-doubt his mate portrayed. She had taken his irritated snarl to heart, and connected it incorrectly with some of his actions. It hurt her, but also made her doubt his contentment and happiness with her.
You don't have to stay with me if you are unhappy, Cynthia continued quietly, I can do it alone if you want to go-
Cia, stop, Leon's brain was floundering, struggling with what to say as he panicked. I am happy here, with you! I want to be with you here, I really, really do!
Cynthia was quiet for a moment before responding. You don't… I don't want you to lie to me, she murmured, her mental voice trembling like a leaf. Cause I've changed, I'm not the same anymore, I… She swallowed, her hands shaking slightly. I don't make you happy.
Leon grasped his mate by the shoulders and forced her to face him, speaking slowly in Wivano. "Yiu shax! Svioni, Yuliunuo, zujo nuoxiou! Yuo nuiko mulz xijuonuo koas ionu jakis ionu nuo youi hoisucuo! Yuo nuiko yochu jio suson nuo xijio kusin xijio Yiu xison, yuo ruxo liuno nuo jior, jior, mius shelou?" [I am happy, My Forever Sweetheart and Partner I love you, and you alone! I don't care that you've changed, you're just as beautiful as you always have been! I didn't mean to give you the impression that I'm unhappy, I still love you, very, very much okay?] He spoke in Wivano, preventing him from lying, and proving to his emotional mate that there was nowhere else in the world he'd rather be than with her.
Leon released her shoulders to gently press his palms and splayed fingers against his mate's swollen belly over her loose shirt that he recognized as one of his own, I'm always happy with you. He then smiled lovingly at her, able to feel the growing baby protected by his mate's body lightly kicking at his hands. Together, their flesh and blood, a child of their own despite Leon's many mistakes and Cynthia's fragile heart and mistakes of her own. Especially with you and our baby Ciliani. He leaned forward and pressed a kiss for his teary mate's forehead, I've wanted this for a long time, a family of my own with you and you alone. Just think Cia, in less than a month we'll have a baby of our own, our son or daughter.
Cynthia gave a shuddered laugh, her blue eyes misty with relief that he was happy, her heightened emotions, and relief that he still wanted a family too.
Note: Wild females are only pregnant for 5 months, the baby is then born, at a much smaller size than a humans, but fully developed. The trait is born of a genetic change over generations to prevent the mother from losing their ability to fight or flee like a normal animals. Wilds count birthdays as if they were born after nine months like humans, helping them blend in and seem normal with a group of siblings. Wild children tend to stay on a liquid diet for about a year before integrating and switching over to normal solid foods, allowing the mother and baby to completely solidify their mother-child bond and allow both to grow closer and start off closer than a human mother and child.
Hmm… not really sure where this came from... Other than I've been having a really bad day (This is past Tigercry, the one from 2am MST August 28th) and my emotions have been utterly everywhere lately XD Either way, I know it's cinderblaze, but it's adorable and I love it ^_^
See you guys next time
