Tall towers of vegetation swayed around him, the murky water that surrounded him slowly started to engulf him in darkness. His attackers had gone but left him quite weak with scratches and cuts around any exposed skin. The blood slowly seeping from his body turned the water nearby a tint of red.
His eyes flickered rapidly trying to stay conscious but his body was failing, he was losing. "HARRY!!" came a violent yell rippling through the water to his eardrums waking his mind from the trance death had given him. A surge of strength filled him to fight for his survival. He regained the feeling of his bumpy wooden wand against his hand, his mind pushing his wand up towards the surface until it came to him in a rush of energy.
Harry Potter soared through the sky, his body penetrating the wall of the water to the freedom of the sky. The warmth of the sun met him for a moment or two welcoming him back to the land of the living. Until reality came to him and he landed unheroically onto the platform causing a large thud to emit from his excursion. His ears having not adapted yet back to normal only heard the muffled voices of the crowd that surrounded him.
Staff and students alike flew to his side, his friends threw blankets on him in an effort to get him warm. Harry felt heavy with the layers of cloth that wrapped around him but the water was deeply entrenched in his clothes and hair with an unbearable chill making his teeth clatter and his body to rock to stay warm. His friends all sharing a worried expression around him looking about at the elder wizards for any help that could be given to their friend.
Harry regained himself, the adrenaline had worn off and the pain had resurfaced and he pushed down with his teeth in an attempt to the numb his body of the pain he was feeling. He moved his eyes about trying to identify everyone close to him to gather himself completely. It was true he was weaker than he was going into the water, his energy drained from him to this lowered state. Which was an oddly opposite comparison to what happened to Ms. Granger.
Normally, Harry would brace for any physical interaction with Hermione because she would put forth as much emotion as a raging bull. She came at him from behind before meeting his eyes in the front "Harry!! You're freezing! You could've died... you!!" she was mad yet happy at the same time. He looked to her trying to read her expression in any way possible to read her but it proved difficult as her face softened at his glance.
"Did I finish last Hermione?" a painful laugh escaped him as he tried to make her lose any worry that she currently carried with a bad joke. He looked to her but no words were spoken as if the rush of emotions had overloaded her morality and caused her to act sporadically.
She kissed him... full in the mouth not in the cheek like they had done before. Harry's first reaction was to stop this, it wasn't right for friends to do something like this but then his heart took over and pushed the kissed further. The warmth of her love pouring into him dissipating any cold or ill feeling he had carried. The fire in his heart had grown an experiential height making him feel as if he had flown high into the sky instead of on the ground with someone he truly cared for.
Maybe some things don't need answers nor true endings. Maybe it is more interesting and rewarding to allow others to give themselves then to give them all the answers to set forth a beginning and an end. But I assure you this is just the beginning of things to pass.
A/N: Hey guys good to be back somewhat unofficially due to all my free time now. I know this may seem rush and I might revisit it, I just wanted to get something out and get back into writing. As always thanks for reading, see you later!
