Bella (POV)
The day my mother died, Charlie had been drinking ,they had argued, I don't remember the details but it had to do with my mother wanting to leave this god forsaken town. Charlie is police chief of Forks, Washington. That day marks the beginning of my torture. Charlie was never the same after he witnessed the car fly off the edge.
Yes he loved my mother deeply but he had started to get abusive when he picked up drinking, and Renee wasn't happy anymore. She thought the environment we were in wasn't healthy for me as a six year old. Everything went downhill after that, Charlie got worse everyday.
Sophomore year was the year my life changed forever. That day I met my angel. Looking back now I can't remember ever being that lost.
