Chapter 20:
Sleepover
The good news is that if they keep going on this pace, Artie won't have to be worried about her being a virgin anymore. The bad news is that she is cheating on her boyfriend, which makes her a hypocrite.
"Wait."
Rachel finally says as she pulls away from their intense make out. Her hips barely obeying her command, moving up on its own accord. She is not sure how, but they managed to reach the bed moments ago, never stopping the kissing. Both of them so hungry for each other.
"No. No wait." Quinn whines, searching for the brunette's lips again.
"Quinn." Rachel says sweetly, but resolute, coming to her senses somehow.
The blonde girl pulls away and as she sits, she fixes her hair. Rachel leans on both of her elbows, nibbling on her bottom lip, delighted and remembering that she was the one messing that hair just moments ago. She then throws her head on her pillow, releasing a sigh.
"What?" Quinn asks with concern on her voice.
Rachel notices, so she reaches out and tenderly takes Quinn's hand.
"We can't do this."
Quinn nods, disappointed.
"I have to break up with him first."
"You mean…" The blonde girl frowns, still unsure.
"If we…" She trails off. "You know… I'd be cheating on him. And I don't want that."
"Okay. You're right. I'm sexually frustrated, but you're right."
"Of course I am. Besides, you and I have a lot to work out. We're not okay. Not yet."
With her eyes zeroed in on Rachel, Quinn gets closer and hovering over the brunette girl's body, she smirks and looks down, her arms placed on both of the sides of Rachel's head.
"We're not?" She says with her husky voice.
"Jesus…" Rachel whispers as she looks to the ceiling, trying to focus on something else rather than on Quinn's lips, so close to hers.
"I thought you were Jewish." With a smirk on her lips, Quinn rubs her mouth on the corner of Rachel's lips ever so slightly.
"Such a teaser."
"Oh you have no idea." She says with her faux sweet voice, making Rachel laugh.
"I'm serious." Rachel looks at Quinn with moony eyes, lifting her hand to caress blonde hair. She missed Quinn so much, but they still have somethings to talk through. "We need to talk."
"Okay." Quinn nods and pulls away, sitting beside Rachel. She is not opposed to this idea; she wants them to start over and to work everything out, talking as much as possible. She doesn't want to hide anything from Rachel anymore as she has learned her lesson.
"Not now. I'm tired." She yawns.
"I guess that's my cue to leave."
"Don't be ridiculous. As if I'm letting you go at this time."
"If Leroy walks in with me here, he is going to throw me out the window."
"And I'm dramatic?"
"You know he doesn't like me-"
"That's-" Rachel tries to step in.
"Aaand he has a good reason." Quinn completes.
"Let's not think about that." She pulls Quinn down, laying the blonde's head on her chest. "Daddy is still in good terms with you, despite everything…"
"Really?"
Rachel nods, still caressing Quinn's hair.
"He'll be on our side for sure and he'll help me with Dad."
"I still think that I should go." She says, her hands sliding up and under Rachel's shirt.
"You don't seem very inclined to leave this bed."
"That's because I'm not."
She is almost reaching the breast.
"What are you doing?" Rachel purrs.
"Nothing." Quinn smirks as she keeps her motion. Rachel stops her however.
"Behave." She moves Quinn's hand away and stands up. "I'm going to get something for you to sleep."
Rolling over, Quinn presses her face on Rachel's pillow, releasing a frustrated groan. She regrets it when Rachel's scent invades her senses.
"I love your smell." She turns around and grabs a handful of her own hair, biting her lower lip.
"What?" Rachel looks behind.
"It drives me crazy."
"Someone's naughty tonight."
"Oh!" Quinn places her hand on her chest dramatically, feigning outrage. "I recited Shakespeare for you." She throws a pillow on the brunette girl.
Capturing the pillow in the air, Rachel giggles, gleefully and laidback.
"Naughty and romantic then." She throws the pillow back to the bed.
The blonde girl pouts.
"It's a good combination though." She says and then turns her attention to her closet.
"Do you think we're going to be the "making love" type or the "fucking each other" type?"
A bang of a head hitting on a wooden surface.
"Ouch!"
"What happened?" From the bed, Quinn asks with a smirk on her face.
"My god woman!" Rachel goes toward the bed, rubbing her head. "What's it with you today?"
"Well, to start with, I've spent a lot of time at home because of my arm fantasying about us having sex all the while I had to find ways to be your friend without dying with sexual frustration, in other words, to regress to the old days when I had to pretend I didn't want you in my bed." She ends her rant with a loud sigh.
"You fantasied about us having sex?" Rachel is stuck in this part though.
"Well… Yeah… I mean, it was hard, because now I know the taste of your lips, how it feels having your body under my body." She shrugs. "Even if with clothes."
They giggle, as Rachel gets close, handing the pajamas she took on her closet to Quinn.
"I think we're going to be the making love type, because I love you." She smiles bashfully, sitting on the bed. "And also the fucking each other type because we're certainly going to fight occasionally, which will lead us to the infamous make out sex."
Licking her lips, Quinn gets lost in her own thoughts. Imagining those hypothetical situations. She wants to make love to Rachel, very badly. However, the prospect of fucking her is very appealing too. Of course, with Rachel, it wouldn't never be just "fuck".
She opens the fastener of her dress; sliding the straps off her arms and making Rachel avert her eyes.
"Baby, what are you doing?"
"Changing?"
She stands up, making her dress go down completely. Rachel then decides to look, raking over that body with her eyes, tempted to reach out and put her hand on that stomach.
"You're really a teaser."
"But I'm not doing anything." She says innocently, taking her boots off too.
"You don't have to do much I guess…" Rachel says with her eyes still pretty much on Quinn's body. "And apparently I became a thirteen year old boy." She shakes her head to snap herself out of the trance she was in and looks away.
Quinn smiles.
"It's strange." She says, putting on the pajamas.
"What?"
"You make me confident and so secure." She adds, now fully dressed.
This time Rachel is the one smiling.
"Yeah?" She reaches out so she can hold Quinn's hand and guide her to her bed.
"Yeah. Even after sex with…" She trails off as Rachel grimaces. "You know who. I wasn't this comfortable to be naked around him."
"Well, I'll always make you feel confident then because I think you're the prettiest and…" She smirks. "Sexiest girl in the whole world."
"But that's not true at all." Quinn says with assertiveness, they are now both laying on the bed. Face to face. "You are the prettiest girl in the whole world."
"I think the entire world disagrees with you." Rachel says playfully and a little bit self-conscious.
"It doesn't matter, you are to me." She says it with such passion and devotion that Rachel feels her heart melting inside of her. She has to hold her tears. "And they wrong anyway, because you are beautiful Rach, inside and out."
Rachel sighs in contentment.
"You're trying to soothe me Fabray?"
"What gave you this impression?" She smirks.
"You showed up here, climbed my tree, recited Shakespeare to me and now is telling me I'm the prettiest girl in the world?"
Quinn caresses Rachel's hair as she sighs tiredly. She is sleepy now too.
"I'm not trying to soothe you. I am trying to woo you. I messed up."
"You did."
Rachel agrees as the blonde gets closer.
"I'm not doing it again." She presses their lips together, passionately so.
"Baby…" Rachel whispers when Quinn pulls away, their lips still very close.
"I know. I'll behave."
"Good. Let's sleep then."
"Good night beautiful." Quinn kisses her forehead. "I love you."
With a smile on her face, Rachel closes her eyes.
"We're still having that conversation though."
She states playfully and then finally falls asleep. She knows they are certainly going to deal with lots of dramas and stressful things in their senior year, before they can finally say good-bye to high school, but she knows that what they feel for each other is strong enough to overcome their issues and to endure this closed-minded town. The only thing they cannot overcome is the lack of trust and communication. They cannot have secrets anymore and they need to trust each other and to be open about everything.
After the talk, she will have one more thing to deal with, her now not-so fake boyfriend. How things have changed, not that she is happy or excited to do it, but she cannot wait to break up with him. She likes him, she does. However, she is undeniably so in love with the girl sleeping right next to her. Everyone else is just… not right.
Sorry about the wait.
