Verte closed her mouth. Kaito could use litteraly EVERY power existing in the world. They could beat the brat. She pulled her lips into her predator's smile. And Ren's right eye exploded in its socket, sending gooey droplets in every direction. Kaito had a disgusted face as Rose wore her blasé smile. Lucas chose this instant to throw his last blade into Ren's left eye, the boy saving his remaining eye thanks to an inhuman reflex at the last second. Then a strange glint appeared in front of his eye. A micro-screen. Verte swore loudly and motionned in the empty air. Lucas understood and walked to her, still invisible but out of projectiles.

Kaito took some steps towards Ren, showing a perfectly calm expression as his younger brother was writhing in pain. His safe eye shot murderous looks to Verte, then, before anyone could move, Lila collapsed under Ren's victorious smile. Lucas rushed to her with Rose who couldn't see him, and Ren's eye moved frenzily. The air around them kind of moved, and they collapsed too. Lucas went back to visible mode without surprising the one eyed boy, and Rose growled. Then she stood up, dusting her clothes before shooting a murderous glare to the boy and walked to him, stomping the ground under her boots with each step she took.

Surprised and busy with his pain, Ren didn't react to her approach. She took the opportunity to kick him right in the groin, her foot almost didn't touch the ground before throwing her knee upwards in her ennemy's nose, who was bent over his stomach in agony, exploding in a blood pool over his face. He collapsed under Rose's furious glare, who slipped into his mind and extended her hand before ripping out a tiny little chip, the size of a nail, covered by blond locks behind his ear. She threw the chip to Kaito without a word, then drilled her eyes on the boy's face on the ground.

- Listen here you little shit. NO ONE ever calls me a little girl. Even less a small cockroach like you. You're mistakingly thinking only my sister is the violent one. Maybe in a few years, if you get out of the high security prison where your brothers will put you, you'll revise your judgement on women, you brainless brat. He's all yours, I'm finished, concluded the girl without meeting Kaito's eyes.

He was smiling. At first, Rose's reaction surprised him. Then he remembered. She had, like Verte or Lucas, followed an intensive training in free fighting and used her abilities with surgical precision. She was afraid she had traumatized the man she kissed a few minutes earlier. Kaito sighed, deciding to work on the most urgent task before talking to her. Then he sighed again. An electrified metal cage held Ren in his spot, and, to prevent any risks, thick metal chains were around him, efficiently transforming him into a metallic sausage.

Verte couldn't hold it in and, after thouroughly breaking Ren's feet bones to be sure he wouldn't go anywherer, she rushed to Lucas and Lila, still unconscious. Kaito grabbed her arm when she got next to him and avoided her violent elbow thrust thanks to a strange magic shield that got there randomly. She frowned as she looked at him, and he shrugged before explaining.

- Random and useful. It's the place that keeps them unconscious, once moved they'll wake up. Let your sister go, she's protected against it, he went on as he glanced at Rose, arms crossed and eyes closed.

She opened slowly her eyes after a long sigh, then walked to the zone before pulling Lucas out of it by his arms. She couldn't keep a shriek and frightened look as she saw the scar cutting his face, but still pulled him out of the zone. Verte got out of Kaito's grip and jumped on Lucas, shaking him without caring about hurting him, furious and worried. Rose shrugged and went to pull out Lila when she felt a presence in her mind. Kaito. Biting her cheek to prevent herself from reacting, she bent over Lila to pull her out, still blushing from Kaito's presence in her mind, not doing anything but watching her.

Rose sat next to Lila and, seeing Lucas' scar had dissapeared as he scrubbed his eyes with slow and clumsy gestures, she looked away, embarrassed. What he did with his power wasn't of her concern. She heard multiple steps and knew Eastcity operatives were finally there. She listened to Kaito as he summarized the situation to them. Then she concentrated on Lila who began to stir. Rose gently brushed chestnut locks out of her face, and smiled tiredly to her when she opened her light brown eyes.

- He... will never... forgive me..., whispered Lila.

- Of course he will, more so if he likes you the way Verte thinks he does.

Lila grimaced at the name and stood up to go stand between two operatives. She was afraid of Verte. Rose sighed, not that it was news to her, it certainly wouldn't be the last one to be afraid of her sister. She just hoped the fright would disappear with time. Because, as she understood Lila was Sentry's girlfriend, and Rose coudln't help but shiver imagining his reaction if he knew his companion was afraid of Verte. Then she laughed quietly. She would pay a lot to see Sentry scold her big sister so many people were afraid of.

Kaito crouched next to her and she froze. He extended his hand really slowly, then put it genlty on hers, under her eyes widening.

- But, aren't you...

- No. Why ? Is there a reason to be ? Asked Kaito, smiling calmly.

Rose opened her mouth, then closed it, then bit her lower lip. Unconscious of the effect of the latter had over Kaito, she let out a small shriek when he closed his arms around her, holding her against him tightly, letting the embrace telling more than whatever words he could have said. He took a small step back, and bent to kiss her, his lips centimeters away from hers.

Centercity's Order agency boss was a few meters from them, looking a bit annoyed. But, as Rose and Kaito jumped up from each other, standing and blushing hard, they still saw a smile in the long purple haired man's eyes. Then, he sighed, and turned to the cage, guarded by two row of operatives.

- Congratulations for your efficiency. It's time to go home, I have a sonic-hover waiting for us at the entrance of the building. I contacted high security Al Khââ Traz prison, they're ready to get Ren, justice department will contact them later when every testimony will be recorded and the judges' decision will be taken about his stay over there. Miss Lila... I'm sorry about what happened to you, he added with a strangely soft voice. But, despite your innocence, I cannot let you come back in your actual job. You'll have to go under magico-genetic surgery under two days for now, then you'll be suspended for two weeks. After that, if you're still willing to work for me, I will find you a job at the office, suitable to your abilities.

Verte bowed her head, uneasy. Material explosions were not from her fight with Ren but... from Lucas. He glanced at her with an apologetic look, but she knew he clearly didn't regret his move. They all went into the hover, and, when the soundproof glass got up between the driver and them, the Boss looked into Kaito's eyes.

- You could have waited for me before doing anything. Or tell me earlier. You know I'm more efficient than you to control him, told the purple haired man reproachfully.

- Sorry Kamui. But it was Rose who controlled him, I only made sure he wasn't moving, like Verte. Your operatives are way more efficient than I thought.

- What does that mean, didn't you trust their abilities? aksed Kamui, curious.

- I did, I only discovered others, replied Kaito with a thoughtful look.
