To any of you who play CKII AGOT, then you probably know what House Goldfyre is. If you don't then I advise downloading CK2 (which is free now) and downloading the AGOT mod. It's really interesting to play as a cadet branch, now let me give you the rundown on House Goldfyre in this world.
Maelor Snow, a bastard born son of King Aegon IV and Raya Stark, was born in the year 276 after Aegon's Conquest. He was raised alongside many of his siblings, both bastard and trueborn alike, although he was closest to Daeron, who he looked up to. He didn't do much until the Blackfyre Rebellion, where after slaying Quentyn Ball and Edwyn Peake (Claiming Orphan-Maker in the process). After the Rebellion, Daeron rewarded Maelor with Whitegrove and allowed him to form a cadet branch forming House Goldfyre. In that same year Maelor married Gwenys Rivers and had Orphan-Maker reforged into a new sword. A golden dragon-head pommel with a black handle, a ruby-encrusted crossguard, and the black blade was the new sword, Goldenfang was truly a beautiful sword.
The years after Maelor were simple for House Goldfyre. Their Valyrian features faded, white hair eventually turned a golden blonde, the only valyrian thing they kept were their amethyst eyes, which even then hold an odd red tint to them. After the War of the Ninepenny Kings, Carlys Goldfyre sold his keep to Luthor Tyrell, who gave the keep to his bastard Edric Flowers who went on to form House Whiteflower in the keep. After selling the keep Carlys employed the Company of the Rose, the Second Sons, the Stormbreakers and the Wolfpack, forming a sellsword army of 34,000 men, whom he took and invaded Lorath and Norvos, allowing the sellsword companies to keep any loot they found in the cities. after the conquest, he named himself the Emporer of Norvos, and married a Essosi Valyrian noblewoman named Varrya Bael. Skip a few generations down and you come to Aekon Goldfyre.
Aekon Goldfyre, the Emporer of Norvos is the ambitious newly anointed Emporer of Norvos, He wishes to conquer the Western Essosi Coast and put a claim on the Westerosi Iron Throne.
