Hi! This is the second chapter of the Fremione fanfic. Did you like it? Please leave a review, it helps a lot. I'll try to make it more interesting and juicy than the last. Again, I do NOT own any of the characters. I didn't mean to snap lol. But happy reading and hope u enjoy!!!
Btw I do not know if I am making these chapters right. I am new to writing on here. I only read them before. Also, if cursing ends up on here, I will space the words out. Thank you !Chapter 2: Confessions
It was early morning, around 5:30, and Hermione woke up. Her eyes widened at the memory of what happened last night. Fred and Hermione fell asleep together on the porch couch, with Fred still holding on to her. When Mione saw the long lasting embrace, she smiled to herself. With Fred around her, Hermione had no nightmares. She shifted a little to get a good look at Fred. He woke up to her movements.
"Well good morning, beautiful. How was your sleep?" Fred asked.
"I slept perfectly and peacefully." Hermione answered, then muttered looking down, "because you were here with me."
Fred felt so happy and glad at this. "What did you say love?" He asked, pretending not to know, also lifting her chin up so he could look Mione in the eyes.
Hermione sighed then giggled. "I- I said I slept the way I did because you were here with me." Hermione blushed really hard at her statement. "I'm sorry."
Fred looked at her and said, "Don't be. I loved it here with you, and I loved every second of it." Hermione blushed even harder than the last time. Then the rooster crowed.
"Well Ms. Granger, I believe we should be getting on then," Fred said, with a playful tone in his voice.
Hermione giggled at him as they sat up from the cushion. Just as Hermione was about to stand, strong arms wrapped around her and embraced her warmly and sweetly. She hugged Fred back. "Thank you for this Fred." Mione said. "No, thank you Mione." Fred replied. He kissed her on the cheek, just as he did last night. Were their feelings for each other to obvious?
As Fred and Hermione walked into the house, they saw that Harry was already up and on the couch, a huge grin on his face.
"Well look at you two love birds! Slept together, and outside." Harry commented, still grinning.
"Oh shut up Harry." Hermione said, rolling her eyes and giggling. "We're just friends, that's all."
What if we could be more than friends? Fred thought. "Oh yeah, just friends."
Harry who was still grinning, looked at Fred with a look that meant sure you're just friends. Fred just laughed and went upstairs. Hermione stayed with Harry for a while, then went upstairs to cover up what happened last night. She got into her bed, Ginny still sleeping.
Are we just friends? No, he would never like me back. I'm just a nerd, a know-it-all bookworm, boring as hell. Fred, oh Fred, he's something else. He's the complete opposite. He's popular, he's fun, he's the life of the party. I have no chance, Fred just wanted to be nice, Hermione thought. She fell asleep again, deep in her thoughts.
It was 8 am when Hermione woke up again. Ginny has just awoken as well. Ginny then sniffed the air.
"Mmm, smells good. Delicious." Ginny said. Hermione also took a sniff and it truly smelled delicious. Like bacon. The girls dressed into their house clothes and went downstairs. Mrs. Weasley looked up from her cooking and saw them.
"Ah, just in time girls," Mrs. Weasley said, smiling warmly. "I needed some help setting up the table. Will you two do it?"
They both nodded and started working.
Meanwhile, in Fred and George's room, Fred was already up. Does Mione like me? No, she wouldn't. Would she? Ugh. No. She prefers smart guys. Does she? She does. I'm not smart. In some ways, I guess I am but never for Mione. She's quiet, I'm loud. There are many differences, big and small. I don't know. Hopefully she does, Fred thought. Even if they were and got into a relationship, then they would have to hide it. Their relationship would be against all odds. Nobody would agree with it. They would try to talk them out of it. Hermione would be told that she could do better, the "brightest witch of her age" with a mischievous Weasley twin. Fred got up and headed to the restroom. On his way there, he bumped into Hermione.
"Ah, there's the lovely witch. How are you today Mione?" Fred asked.
"I am doing well, thanks. How about yourself?" Hermione replied with a smirk.
"Just fine I reckon." Fred answered, returning the smirk.
"Well then, I'll get along then." Hermione said, starting to leave.
"Up up up," Fred tutted. "I haven't heard a good morning from you young lady."
Hermione rolled her eyes then laughed. "Good morning Freddie!" Hermione said, in a high pitched voice.
"Ugh I hate that name. But good morning Ms. Granger!" Feed responded.
Hermione giggled and said, "Well, I'll call you Mr. Weasley then."
Fred just playfully rolled his eyes and pulled Hermione into a hug. To his surprise, she didn't back away, but hugged back. They stayed like that for a few minutes and heard a door close, but didn't care. George Weasley then clears his throat.
"Ahem." George raises an eyebrow and nodded to Hermione. They quickly broke apart and Hermione put a strand of hair behind her ear, blushing.
"Is there something I should know about?" George asked, looking at Fred to Hermione.
"Well-" Fred started, but then Hermione interrupted.
"No, there is nothing happening between us. Nothing, absolutely nothing. We will never more than friends." Hermione concluded, reading George's mind. Fred didn't show it, but he was hurt by these words. He really really liked Hermione, but this, it might have even left a hole in his heart. He stomped quickly downstairs, leaving Hermione and George, obviously mad. George and Hermione watched him, then looked up at each other, and shrugged.
Merlin's beard, did I just say that? Did I really just say that? Da mn it Hermione! Fu ck me! Ugh!!! I just screwed my chances, Hermione thought. She sighed, and went downstairs, followed by George. Hermione slotted Mrs. Weasley and started helping her with breakfast, while George looked for his angry upset twin.
George found Fred outside by the pond, fuming, and rock skipping. George raised his eyebrow at his actions, then went to him.
"If you're going to try and say something inspirational, then I rather you not." Fred said sternly, sensing, feeling, and knowing George's presence.
"I, uh-" George started. "You know what actually? I was just gonna call you to breakfast, it's ready."
"Ugh." Fred groaned, tilting his head up to the sky with his eyes closed. He dropped the remainder of his stones and rocks, and locked his fingers in his hair.
"Fred? Is there something wrong?" George asked, starting to worry.
"You know how I feel about her, don't you?" Fred asked in response.
"Um... who, Hermione?" George guessed.
Fred dropped his hands and sighed. "Yes George, her."
George has known about Fred fancying Hermione for a long time now. He'd seen the way Fred looked at her, the way he would only play minor pranks on her, how he treated her differently from any other girl.
"What about Mione?" George asked, curious. The fact that he was completely oblivious to what Fred was sulking about, Hermione's words, irritated him.
"Did you not hear her words or are you deaf?" Fred interrogated, triggered. George looked down and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Um, about you two never becoming more than friends?" George questioned, a little scared his brother was going to rage.
"No, about Mione thinking she failed her N.E.W.T.s." Fred answered sternly. George looked up at his twin and curiosly raised an eyebrow. "Of course about us never being more than friends! You dumb git!"
George looked a little hurt by his words and mumbled a "Sorry." Fred stared at his brother, then apologized.
"No, I'm sorry." Fred sighed. "I just really got upset by that I guess."
"Don't you like her?" George wondered. Although George had known about Fred's feelings for the witch, he was surprised by this.
"Obviously. But if she really means what she said, then, ugh, I don't know." Fred answered. George patted his twin's back and went with him to breakfast.
Hermione went back to Ginny's room looking sad. Ginny walked in after paying Harry a visit. She gazed at her best friend, confused.
"Hey, you alright there Mione?" Ginny asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. Hermione was too busy regretting her words to notice that Ginny had entered the room. Hermione looked up at Ginny.
"I don't know. I guess. I just hate myself right now." Hermione answered weakly. Ginny, knowing Hermione for a long time now, realized what the problem was.
"Who is it?" Ginny questioned, making Hermione raise an eyebrow.
"Who is what?"
"Who is he? I know whatever you're dealing with is about a guy."
Hermione groaned, then sighed. She looked up at the ceiling, hoping Ginny wouldn't see her watery eyes.
"I, uh."
"It's Fred isn't it?"
Hermione looked back at Ginny, meeting her eyes. As the first tear escaped, Hermione nodded. Ginny put a comforting arm around Hermione as she continued crying.
"Well, uh, if it makes you any happier, I believe breakfast is ready." Ginny commented, breaking the silence between them. Hermione smiled and got up with Ginny. Before heading downstairs though, Ginny wiped away Hermione's tears and gave her a hug.
"I love you Gin."
"I love you too Mione."
That's the end for now. Sorry I haven't been writing and I have a kinda dull ending, but I've been really busy. School work, ya know, and some other stories. Either that or I'm just too lazy to write and have no ideas. Stay safe people! Love ya!!
ps also please tell me if I am doing these chapters right. If not, tell me how to. Thanks!
