Chapter 2
Hop Pop gave Anne and Sprig, Wanda Sundew's address but told them that he couldn't go with them since he had to work on the family farm. Polly didn't actually care about Wally's past but she definitely didn't want to spend her afternoon listening to Hop Pop's lectures so she tagged along. Sprig had already met Wanda once or twice before but he never thought of her as Wally's fiancé!
Wanda Sundew's house was on the far side of the village, cut away from the other houses. Anne could tell that she was a very private person. Sprig knocked five times on the door before Wanda came out. She looked exactly like her sister, Felicia and even though Wanda was a few years older, they looked like twins. "Well hello Sprig, so nice to see you! " she exclaimed. "Are we invisible or what!? " Polly whispered to Anne. "Hello Ms. Sundew, we were wondering if you could tell us about Wally's past," Sprig said.
Wanda was shocked. "I don't know a Wally, I only know a Walter, " she replied. Anne was confused and asked who Walter was. Sprig told her that Walter was Wally's full name, the name he used to use before he turned weird. After a short talk with Wanda, the kids had found out nothing more than Hop Pop had told them.
No one in Wartwood knew what happened to Wally in Newtopia so to find out more they would have to go to Newtopia themselves but was it worth it to leave to valley just to know Wally's past or would they take the chance and ask Wally himself?!
