~Iris
As Iris layed on the ground in the alley with every bone in her body aching, she thought to herself if she'd have enough time to write a real quick will. She prayed that at least Chloe would get to keep her boba tea drawings they made together as a joke. As the man approached her, she prepared for the worst. It was Captain America who had knocked her to the ground. She knew that the Avengers and Shield had been after her since they noticed how much she had been out and fighting crime in Queens. She didn't know what to expect after Cap pinned her down. She couldn't think of a way to escape. As she felt him pull off her mask, she tried to remove all signs of fear from her face.

Steve was eager to know the true identity of Iris. All he knew was that she used telekinesis. Just like what Wanda did. But neither did the Avengers nor Shield, know any other information on the hero. Including how she got her powers. But when he pulled off her mask, he never expected what he found. He stared at a girl, a kid, about 12 to 13 years old. She had cuts and bruises all over her face and black circles under her eyes. How hadn't they noticed they'd been after a kid the whole time? He put the thought aside and returned to the fact that he had been fighting a middle schooler. "Wait a second, you're only a kid?" He questioned. "Yea no duh Sherlock. Did you even notice my height?" She replied. When Nick Fury gave as much description as he knew about her, he had described her as a rather short woman, when she actually had just been a child the whole time. The Avenger has gone deeper into that thought when Iris had decided to make her move. She kicked her leg up and managed to hit him in the crotch, grabbed her mask, used her powers to throw him into some trash bags behind her and ran for it while struggling to put her mask back on.
~Iris
After running for a while she checked to make sure no one was near and ran into an alley. There, she threw off her jacket and her mask, shoved them into her backpack which she had hidden there earlier that day and pulled out a hoodie. She tied her hair up into a messy bun, slung her bag over her shoulder and made her way down the street. After about a ten minute walk, she had walked into a small apartment. She took the stairs to get to the second floor and walked into a room. It was a small apartment room, with not much furniture. There was a table, 4 chairs, an old tv, a teared up couch and two mattresses with two pillows and a blanket on each. This was where she lived with her older brother and her younger sister. Her brother had to work a lot to keep up with the rent and sometimes she did too, but it was difficult with the fact that they still had a five year old sister to take care of. After turning the tv on, she pulled out a chair to sit in and placed her bag on the table then took her homework out of her bag. It had been like this for almost a year now and she had gotten used to it. After her parents died in a plane crash, she and her sibling went into foster care. When they discovered they were going to be separated, they ran. They tan from Canada to the US. Someone had been taking care of them after their run, but she had died a few years ago. They never told anyone about it so that way they wouldn't be put back into foster care. For ten months, she would go to school, then her trusty alley to leave her backpack and change, go on patrol as Iris and come back home as Evangeline Remming. Except for days where she had play practice of course. She used singing as her coping mechanism after going through so much in her life and turned out she was good enough to get one of the lead roles in her school play. Her siblings had always supported her singing. After a minute of thinking about patrol today she began to focus on her homework.

After a couple of hours, she had finished most of her homework and got ready to leave for the library to type an essay. Evangeline didn't have a computer or anything like that. She would always use either the library's or her friends. All she had was her old flip phone, which she didn't really mind that much because she was still able to call and text her few friends. Anyways, as she walked to the library she wondered what would happen the next time she ran into the Avengers. After all, they already knew what she looked like, plus she was only a kid. 13. She pushed her thoughts aside as she walked into the building. She sat down and began to type.

"I'm telling you, she's just a kid," Steve said. He was in the lab trying to prove to Tony and Bruce that they'd been fighting a middle schooler the whole time. Tony wouldn't accept it. "How would a child get these crazy abilities and stuff she can do with her mind, and not be with Hydra?"
"Well, maybe she is then. I don't know maybe- wait Bruce stop there." He ordered.
Bruce has been looking at images of students in some of the schools in Queens, since that's where Steve had found Iris. On the computer screen, was a picture of a girl who Cap had recognized as Iris. "This is her Steve? I mean this kid is only 13, you sure?" Banner asked.
"Absolutely," The captain's reply. "Evangeline Remming that's her."
"Ok so now what are we going to do, find her and what, kidnap her?" Tony asked sarcastically, but with the look, Steve had on his face he could already tell that part of his guess was correct. "Maybe," Steve responded," all we have to do is find her, and then convince her to come with us?"
"I personally think it's worth a shot," Clint agreed. He and Natasha had been listening to the conversation the whole time. Steve looked at Tony. The playboy let out an annoyed sigh. "Jarvis is there any way you can figure out where the kid is," Stark said, proving he had finally agreed with Steve. After a brief moment of silence, the AI responded. "There seems to be a computer at the public library in Queens logged into the account of an Evangeline Remming. "Well then," Steve announced," I'm going, who else is?" Suddenly Peter popped up, hanging upside down from the ceiling, scaring the heck out of Steve. "I'll come Mr. Captain America Rogers sir!" The spider kid exclaimed. "Ok why not then, and it's Steve kid." Peter nodded as he hopped down from the ceiling. "I'll go too I guess," said Tony. Natasha and Clint nodded agreeing to go as well. "Well then, let's find this kid," said the Captain.
