Finding a job was not going to be easy for Anne. She didn't have any frog abilities so she couldn't do some of the jobs that Wartwood had to offered. On the other hand, Sprig and Polly found jobs very easily. Sprig got a job at Felicia's Café (being Ivy's boyfriend had it's perks) and Polly got a job with Tuti, the full-body massager and part-time bounty hunter.
Anne didn't like working but since both Sprig and Polly were doing their part, she had to earn some money too. She tried to get a job at Stumpy's but the old frog had gone on a well-deserved break from work, then she tried a bunch of other places with no luck. The last job she could possibly get was working with the Mayor!!
"Can I talk to the Mayor real quick ? " Anne asked Toadie as soon as he opened the door to the Mayor's house. "Mayor Toadstool is quite busy right now, " Toadie replied in an official tone. "I'll tell him that you want to talk him." Toadie tried to close the door but Anne blocked it.
"To busy eh? " Anne said while she outran Toadie into the Mayor's office where he was expectantly counting his money. "What are you doing here Anne? " Toadstool asked. "Toadie, I told you no visitors." Toadie apologized and returned to work. "So I came here to ask you for a job," Anne said. Mayor Toadstool was awestruck. "Anne, do you seriously believe that I would give you a job." Anne was sort of hoping. She had to try to convince him but nothing seemed to work. Then out of the blue the Mayor had an idea! "Wait Anne, I think I do have a job which is perfect for you. Follow me," Toadstool explained as he lead the way towards the back room. "So what is it, protecting Wartwood because I've been doing that since I got here," Anne asked. "Not exactly," the Mayor replied with a smirk. Mayor Toadstool opened the back room door to reveal Anne's new job. Inside was a toilet brush and cleaning supplies. "You're gonna be Wartwood's new toilet and pipe cleaner! "
Anne was speechless. "Whaaaaat?!?!?! "
