Chapter 3 : Versus
Previously on The Tournament of Elements 2.0 : Cole runs into the Royal Palace of Ninjago with the note that Eyezor gave to Charlie, due to Kai throwing it in the ocean shortly after they arrived on the Island, the Master of Metal Kayla has been eliminated, with the kids wondering what Chen is planning, while Chen reveals to his grandson Charlie, that Eyezor and Clouse are preparing a mutiny against Chen, due to Chen's only reason to escape the Departed Realm, was to meet Felicia and Charlie, and now that Charlie knows this, he needs to find a way to convince his father and his friends that Chen is no longer their enemy, and much like Felicia, and themselves, that Chen is trapped on this island as well, Will they escape the Island? will Eyezor and Clouse rebel against Master Chen? will Kai dare to call Master Chen his friend once again? Find out now!
On Chen's Island in the Chow House . . .
Charlie : Dad, i'm serious, my grandfather isn't the enemy this time, Eyezor and Clouse are.
Kai : Son, how am I supposed to simply believe that after all the damage he caused in the past 60 years.
Charlie : He only escaped the Departed Realm because he wanted to meet me and my sister, and now that he locked Felicia and Kayla up, and that Eyezor and Clouse are considering a mutiny, until we can find a way to shut down Clouse's force field, he's trapped on this island, same as us.
Kai : *sighs, Alright Charlie, let's say I believe you, but there's still a valuable lesson for us to learn here, If you don't find a way for an old enemy to become our friend in a matter of time before a betrayal of his only remaining student, you may not be served food from his chow house.
Princess Lydia : Well I know baloney is all were getting served. for Chen it's a fighting tournament, but for Eyezor and Clouse, it's nothing but a trick for them to steal our powers, and do who knows what, he can't use his spell book anymore, because my father burned it at the Corridor of Elders.
Richard : But he doesn't need to pages to do the spells, for all we know, he has them all in his mind as if he wrote them on the back of his hand.
Siddie : I'm not so sure, from what Kai has told us about Eyezor and Clouse, I have a feeling their plan is something ten times more sinister than what came before.
Nina : No argument there, I just hope we can defeat those two soon, and then get off this Island.
Eric : And may I reminds us, we got no clue where Felicia is, which is why all of us need to get through the first round to give us more time.
Siddie : Wha? . . .
Eric : Don't look at me Siddie, I already moved on.
Richard : Your opponent got kicked out because he tried to escape the Island.
Eric : Regardless, I get the day off.
Siddie : Day off? I thought ninja never quit . . .
Eric : I used to think a ninja wouldn't hit one of their best friends in the back of the head!
Kai : Whatever you two need to keep on saying to each other, you better drop it and say it now, because having grudges against each other in this tournament is not going to hurt anybody except yourselves.
Charlie : My Dad's right, you need to be fighting your next opponents not each other.
Siddie : I already dropped my grudge against him Charlie.
Eric : I dropped mine first!
Siddie : You did not!
Eric : Did too!
Siddie then uses her powers to knock Eric's tray out of his hands and onto the floor.
Kai : This Tournament is going to test them both son, you need to find a way for them to make peace with one another, or none of us may move on.
Master Chen began televising the Tournament while everybody was entering the chow house, and Skylor and Lloyd, and the rest of the adults were watching from the royal palace, and they watched Siddie and Eric's argument, and Kai's wise words, and Master Chen then came on the Loudspeaker.
Master Chen : Attention everybody! The Tournament of Elements 2.0 continues, and will the following Elemental Masters make their way to their assigned arena.
Master Chen then listed the elemental masters.
Speed
Ice
Wind
Smoke
Sound
And last but certainly not the least. . . .
Eric : Nice, so most of us got the day off.
Master Chen : Amber!
Charlie then did a small gasp, and from Ninjago, Skylor and Nya seemed concerned about Charlie.
Master Chen : And remember my young elemental fighters, Only One Can Remain . . . .
Master Chen then started viewing the battles all at once time, with the Elemental Masters watching from the sidelines.
Master Chen : Time to begin, Trey, the Master of Speed, versus Xavier, the Master of Ice . . . Fight!
Xavier and Trey began fighting each other, since the Jade Blade was in the tree, Trey tried running up to grab it, but Xavier was creating ice patches, causing Trey to slip and fall off the tree.
Trey : You have got to be kidding me!
Meanwhile in the Dojo Arena :
Master Chen : Joseph, the Master of Sound, versus Richard, the Master of Wind . . .!
This shocked Lloyd and Nya hearing the words "Master of Wind" come out of Chen's mouth, meaning Morro was still alive . . . at least, had been alive.
Master Chen : Fight!
Richard then began running across the room grabbing the weapons out of each corner of the arena, and tried to attack Joseph with a bow and shurikens.
Richard : Will admit, good at fighting for a music man.
Joseph : what?!
Joseph then broke one of the jars in the room and begins shooting a blowpipe at Richard.
Meanwhile in the Fire Arena :
Master Chen : my grandson Charlie! the Master of Amber, versus Aaron, the son of Ash, the Master of Smoke!
Master Chen : Fight!
Skylor and Kai were both watching the fight closely from Ninjago, and the Sidelines, hoping Charlie would win.
Charlie then ran across the bridge and tried attacking Aaron, but he flipped the bridge other, causing the blade to fall onto a small rock pillar.
Charlie : Darnit!
Kai : Come on Charlie, you can do this!
Charlie then breaks his way through the bridge and tries to attack, but Aaron's ability to turn into smoke keeps making Charlie miss his attacks, just then Aaron hits him across the bridge, leaving Charlie hanging onto one of planks.
Master Chen is seen laughing and clapping at the fight while in Ninjago, Skylor is freaking out that her son is going to get hurt.
Skylor : Oh no, Charlie!
Jay : Skylor, calm down.
Meanwhile in the Garden Arena :
Trey : To Slow for me ice cube!
Xavier then blasts Trey against the tree with an ice block and he can see Trey messing with him as he runs around the tree.
Trey : What? you can't keep up?
Trey : I'm over here!, you can't catch me!
Xavier : Enough!
Trey then kicks Xavier and hits him with a branch, before Xavier starts summoning several balls of Ice with his hands, and gets ready to start throwing them at Trey.
Trey : Okay this, does not look good . . .
Xavier then begins hurling the ice balls at Trey.
Xavier : You need to chill out speedy boy . . .
Meanwhile in the Dojo Arena :
Richard : Come on, hit let me hear your strength music man!
Joseph then jumps up and slams his instrument against the ground, creating a huge sound wave
Kai : The elemental power of sound never ceases to surprise me.
Joseph then grabs another blowpipe and begins attacking Richard by shooting at the floor.
Richard then begins charging at Joseph, and slides underneath the blowpipe darts causing them to go through the wall let wind blow through the gaps, messing with Joseph's powers.
Richard then begins using his powers to blow the wind even harder, which begins to hurt Joseph's ears.
Richard then runs to the last intact jar and destroys it to reveal the Jade Blade.
Richard : Yes!
Master Chen : Winner!, and Loser . . .
Master Chen triggers the trapdoor and gets rid of the Master of Sound.
Master Chen : The Master of Wind moves on to the Quarter-Finals.
Meanwhile in the Garden Arena :
Trey : You know what forget it!
Trey then begins running straight for the Jade Blade, but just as he grabbed it, Xavier shot Ice at the branch to make the blade fall out of Trey's hands, Xavier then made an Ice Platform to jump up and grab the Jade Blade.
Xavier : Yea! ha ha, take that speed demon!
Master Chen : Winner!, Loser . . . .
Trey : I'm out of here!
Trey tries to jump off the tree, but Chen triggers a sandbag to drop Trey into the trapdoor.
Xavier : Seriously? How many buttons does that man have on his Chair?
Everybody, even Skylor and Lloyd laughed at Xavier's joke.
Master Chen : Master of Ice, moves on!
Meanwhile in the Fire Arena : Charlie remains hanging onto the bridge with the plank breaking and half, and Skylor starting to worry
Skylor gasps and hides her face, not wanting to see her son fall.
Charlie then jumps up and uses Spinjitzu to attack Aaron, which surprised the adults, while Kai seemed impressed with his son's strategy.
Charlie : Ninja-Go!
Charlie then begins sparring with Aaron.
Kai and Princess Lydia : Come on Charlie, you need to use your powers!
Charlie then ignites his powers and begins shooting Fire and Energy at his opponent, with Aaron standing on the burning bridge and jumping back towards the center.
Skylor : Come on Charlie . . . .
Master Chen : Eyezor! no weapons! I am enjoying this.
Aaron then grabs Charlie by the neck and Charlie takes out the bridge supports, landing both of them on the rock pillars.
Charlie then turns around and stares straight at Aaron
Aaron : Come at me elemental idiot!
Charlie : Game on!
Charlie and Aaron then jump at the middle pillar and keep sparring each other, with Kai and Skylor both having freaked out look in their eyes as they watch their son's fight.
Aaron then uses his smoke ability to get free of Charlie, and jump towards the Jade Blade.
Charlie then shoots Fire at Aaron making him turn into smoke, allowing Charlie to grab the Jade Blade as he flips and lands on the rock pillar.
Charlie : Yes!
Master Chen : Winner!
Kai and Charlie's friends begin cheering.
Kai : That's my son!
Richard : I knew it.
Princess Lydia : Keep it up Charlie!
Master Chen : Great work my grandson, and we have a loser . . .
Chen then triggers the trap door and sends Aaron down into the Prison, while in Ninjago, Skylor just saw Charlie grab the Jade Blade, and took a massive sigh of relief.
Skylor : Oh thank goodness . . .
Jay : I really thought for a moment there that Charlie was going to lose.
Lloyd : I don't know where he learned Spinjitzu, but that fight was amazing.
Nya : That was very impressive.
Pixal : I call that a rousing success.
Zane : At least Charlie and our son are safe for now.
Skylor : I still can't stop getting the thoughts of the episode before, where my father was talking to Charlie, do you guys really believe that Eyezor and Clouse would rebel against him?
Jay : Highly doubt it, with how long they have served him, I think it's another one of his tricks.
Opal : I'm not so sure Jay.
Lloyd : I know just the person who can tell us more, and he may already know.
Lloyd and the others head for Krypterium Prison to speak with Garmadon.
Warden Noble : I will see you guys on the way out.
Lloyd : Thanks warden.
Lloyd and Skylor are in the front of the group and they walk down the small path towards Garmadon's Cell.
Lloyd : Hello Father.
Garmadon then looks up from his table and sees Lloyd and the others standing there looking at him.
Garmadon : Well, if it isn't my son, emperor of Ninjago, to what do I owe the pleasure?
Lloyd : Spare the odd introduction, it's not your strong suit.
Garmadon : What are you doing here, and why does it involve seeing me?
Lloyd : We need your help.
Garmadon : Oh really, and why is that?
Skylor : Chen and Clouse escaped from the Departed Realm! that's why!
Everybody was shocked by how loud Skylor yelled at Garmadon for his stupidity, and for a solid minute nobody said a word.
Garmadon then decided to speak.
Garmadon : wait what?
Empress Harumi : They escaped from the Departed Realm, all of them, I'm not sure if you noticed the weird television show called The Tournament of Elements 2.0?
Garmadon : No, I haven't
Lloyd : Well that's Chen's doing, and he has Kai and all of the kids on that island.
Garmadon : What?!
Garmadon was surprised that all the kids were on the island, but was also surprised that Lloyd had mentioned that Kai was there too.
Skylor : What confuses me though, is the weird force field around the Island, so nobody can go in, or out, and On the show, we saw Chen talking to Charlie saying he was sorry for what he did, and that Clouse and Eyezor are preparing a mutiny against him, because the only reason Chen escaped was to meet Felicia and Charlie.
Garmadon : So he felt the same way I felt about Lydia.
Lloyd : I didn't see it that way guys, but he's right.
Nya : If That's really true though about Chen changing his ways so he could see Felicia and Charlie, then we need to get them off the Island.
Jay : How are we supposed to do that with that force field around it, you remember what Skylor and Lloyd said, nobody in or out.
Lloyd : We can't get through it, that doesn't mean we can't destroy it.
Cole : What?
Lloyd : Father, will you help us get them off that Island, Chen may be trying to change his ways, but Clouse betrayed you as well and if it's true that he's staging a mutiny against Chen then he may be trying to take Ninjago as well.
Garmadon : I sent Clouse to the world beneath us once, I want to do it again, I'm in. . .
Lloyd then opened the cell and Garmadon walked foward.
Lloyd then reached his hand out to shake hands with Garmadon, and everybody was surprised that Garmadon did the same, after shaking hands, they started leaving the Prison.
Lloyd : Thank you Father, let's go get our brother and our kids back from that Island.
Meanwhile on the Island everybody was looking at the Tournament Bracket in the Throne Room, when the Young Ninjas started approaching
Kai : Hey what's everybody looking at.
Everybody gasped when they saw the bracket, Siddie was pitted against Eric
Eric : He can't do this to us.
Charlie : They already did.
Siddie : We have to fight each other!
Charlie : I cannot believe this!
Eric : Why does it say i'm supposed to fight Siddie, it didn't even say that before, I thought I was getting the day off from this nonsense.
Siddie : I tried to warn you about this Eric, it's your fault you didn't listen.
Kai then approaches the kids after he sees the bracket.
Charlie : What are we supposed to do now Dad?, we were supposed to get my sister back not fall further apart by facing each other.
Kai : If that's true what you said about Chen, then he didn't have a choice, and you can't undo what just happened, my only advice is for you to fight each other the way they want.
Eric : Seriously! One of us has to lose, and it's definitely gonna be me, all I have is water, and Siddie has the power of earth and super strength, somebody tell me what I have to win this!
Charlie : That's enough, If we find my grandfather and ask for an answer then none of us have to battle, the fight isn't until midnight, so we have time to see what Clouse and Eyezor are trying to do and stop that match.
Richard : I know exactly who can help us see into their heads, and I'm sure they already know. . .
Charlie and the Others then went out into the Zen Garden searching for son of Neuro, the Master of the Mind, Nicholas.
Charlie : There he is.
Charlie and the others approached him to ask him for help.
Richard : Nicholas, we need your help.
Nicholas : You guys all think I can see into Clouse and Eyezor's minds, so may find your master of fire and not have to fight each other.
Xavier : Yea well don't forget-
Nicholas : You guys still need to know what Eyezor and Clouse are actually up to because their hiding something.
Eric : That's pretty impressive son of nerdo.
Nicholas : Son of Neuro, The Master of the Mind, and my name is Nicholas, and for the record, Siddie thinks Eric won't last long in the big fight.
Eric : Excuse me?
Siddie : I only did because you said it yourself Eric.
Nina then shocked her brother to get her to stop arguing with Siddie.
Nina : Knock it off, both of you!, and we need to help use Nicholas, not make our problem worse.
Nicholas : Give me one good reason why I should help you guys, your my competition, the sooner you are all out, the, better for me of course.
Charlie : If you want to know what's best for you, see inside my head for the talk I had with my grandfather.
Nicholas then looked inside Charlie's mind and saw the part where Chen told him about Eyezor and Clouse's mutiny.
Charlie : You know it's only a matter of time until they betray my grandfather, so are you in or not?
Nicholas : Not this time, Clouse and Eyezor are smarter then you believe, when I can get an opportunity to see into their heads I will, but I can't do it now.
Eric : Oh Come on!!!
Siddie then hit Eric in the back of the head again for his stupidity.
Siddie : Enough! if were fighting, then i'm looking forward to some real peace and quiet when your out of the tournament.
Siddie and Eric both walked away from the group in anger, showing that they haven't gotten any closer to fixing their problems.
Charlie : I guess that's it then, one of them goes down, and for now there's nothing we can do about it.
What Charlie and the others don't realize, is that the show was still being televised, and everyone saw it some the royal palace.
Cole : Well that's just great.
Empress Harumi : Lloyd, before you said something about destroying the barrier, what did you mean?
Lloyd : I meant my father using his powers to break through it, and If that doesn't work, it means the only way to shut down the barrier is from on the Island.
Nya : What do you mean?
Lloyd : If my father can't destroy the barrier, then Kai or one of the kids needs to shut it down from the Island, If they can figure out how.
Jay : It sounds crazy.
Skylor : Well the show is offline for now, so we got time to think of something.
Just then, Pixal calls the others from the other side of the palace.
Lloyd : What is it Pixal?
Pixal : It says Charlie is trying to do a video chat from the Island, should we answer it.
Skylor : Yes!
Nya : Okay Skylor, I know the rest of your family is stuck on the Island, but you need to calm down, anger isn't going to help any of us.
Pixal then answers the video chat, and Charlie is seen in his room with Kai and Princess Lydia.
Kai : It actually worked, surprising.
Charlie : I came up with the idea and even I thought it wasn't going to work.
Then Skylor and the others begin talked to Kai and Charlie.
Skylor : I've seen the show being streamed across Ninjago, are you guys okay?
Charlie : yes Mom, were fine, it's Siddie and Eric i'm worried about.
Cole : We saw that, If Chen thinks making those two fight each other is going to help him win, then he's mistaken.
Princess Lloyd : Chen isn't your enemy! Eyezor and Clouse are!
Charlie : The only reason my grandfather escaped the Departed Realm was to meet me and my sister, the same reason Garmadon wanted to see Lydia, and considering Garmadon was a way worse enemy, the fact you guys are taking this way more seriously, makes like zero sense.
Skylor : I just want you guys off that Island, and where's Felicia?
Kai : In the prison beneath the Island, along with the rest of the elemental masters, Chen's keeping them down there until we can shut that stupid force field down.
Lydia then notices Garmadon is standing near Jay and Zane.
Princess Lydia : What is my grandfather doing there?
Lloyd : It's okay Lydia, he's going to help us get that stupid force field down so we can get you guys off the Island.
Just then Richard and Nicholas entered Charlie's room to tell them that Siddie and Eric's fight is starting soon.
Richard : Hey Charlie.
Charlie : Hey Richard, what's up?
Nicholas : We came to tell you guys that Siddie and Eric are going to have their fight soon.
Lloyd : Hey, is it really true that Richard is the Master of Wind?
Charlie : Yes.
Nya : How is that possible, is Morro still alive?!
Richard : Was alive, a year ago an earthquake hit and leveled half of the Stixx Village, and my parents down with it.
Charlie : I met Richard at the Stixx Village after I was with Mom trying to get more fish because she decided to have the noodle house open for one day where people could get sushi for free, that was a total nightmare.
Skylor : Don't remind me.
Charlie : Cole, Jay, you guys better prepare yourselves, because your kids are about to fight to the death.
Cole and Jay : What?!
Nicholas : For the last time Charlie, nobody is dying.
Charlie : Not Physically, but ever since we got to this Island, I have been dying every second.
Charlie then left his quarters with Princess Lydia holding his hand, just then Nicholas left as well leaving Kai and Richard to talk to Skylor and Lloyd, but they both seemed interested in why Lydia was holding Charlie's hand and why she left with him.
Richard : I have never seen Charlie like that.
Skylor : Kai, what's wrong with our son?
Kai : Everything has come full circle for him, it seems like with Felicia in the prison, and now Siddie and Eric are about to fight each other, and Chen is about to get overpowered by Eyezor and Clouse, it seems like everything is falling onto Charlie's shoulders.
Richard : It also doesn't help that the princess has a crush on him.
Harumi and Lloyd : What?
Kai : Richard!
Richard then sprints out of Charlie's room, leaving Kai alone on the chat with the others
Kai : Oh boy . . . .
Jay : Charlie and Princess Lydia, that sounds ridiculous.
Kai : So did you and Nya, and look how that turned out.
Zane started laughing at Kai's joke
Jay : You seriously want me to start Zane?
Zane : By all means.
Cole : Oh maybe I could start with that weird feud that happened between me and Jay.
Lloyd : Enough!
Lloyd shouting had shocked everybody, including Garmadon, with nobody realizing he could get that angry.
Lloyd : Will you guys listen to yourselves, your constant arguments over events that happened twenty years ago, is doing nothing but drive you all apart, and I am sick of it, if you guys won't do anything to stop arguing with each other, then I will.
Lloyd then walks out of the room with nothing but anger going through him, with his friends still hanging onto pointless arguments that happened two decades ago.
Nya : Kai before you leave, the reason we have Garmadon with us, is so he can try to use his powers to destroy the force field, but If that doesn't work, then our only option is to shut if off from the inside.
Richard : What do you mean inside?
Cole : She means that if we can't destroy the barrier, then there has to be someway to turn it off from on the Island.
Kai : I'm pretty sure Eyezor or Clouse know how to shut it off.
Richard : Or Chen, but if he tells us, it could start Eyezor and Clouse's rebellion.
Kai : That, and we can't ask him with Felicia and the others still locked in the Factory, who knows what they'll do to them after Chen is gone.
Just as Kai was talking, Princess Lydia and Charlie walked back into the room. with Lydia still holding Charlie's hand, and Harumi and Skylor noticed, and Lloyd walked back into the room and saw his daughter holding Charlie's hand as well.
Charlie : The only thing I want is this endless road of pain and shock to stop.
Kai : I know Charlie, but with Clouse and Eyezor possibly rebelling against Chen, we can't do anything about it right now.
Princess Lydia : But what damage can they truly cause? I mean Kai, you destroyed the staff that gave everybody back their powers.
Charlie : Then Lloyd burned Clouse's Spell book at the Corridor of Elders.
Jay : They have a point.
Zane : They are also making contact with each other's hands.
Charlie : Oh shut up Zane.
The adults were shocked by what Charlie had said, but Skylor, Harumi, Nya, Kai, Lloyd, they couldn't blame Charlie for what he was going through on that island
Richard : Charlie, like I tried telling you guys before, Clouse doesn't need his book to do the spells, for all we know he has every spell written on the back of his hand.
Zane : That seems logically impossible.
Princess Lydia : It was an expression.
Kai : That and he got the crystal for his staff from the caves full of them on the Island son, he took me and your mother there and read the spell, which is how he turned his empire into Anacondrai.
Nya : And he turned Garmadon and Skylor into snakes too.
Skylor : Please stop reminding me, that process was incredibly painful.
Charlie : Mom, please don't put more thoughts like that in my head, I have enough to worry about.
Skylor : Sorry.
Empress Harumi : In any case Lydia, I didn't think you had feelings for Charlie.
Princess Lydia : I have feelings for him, what's wrong with that?
Jay : Your six years old, you are way too young to know what love feels like Princess.
Harumi and Lloyd : Jay!
Everyone started to see tears forming in Lydia's eyes as she left Charlie's room, and then Charlie spat on the ground and looked at his father.
Charlie : Seriously Dad, that blue man's an idiot.
Charlie then left the room to find Princess Lydia.
Kai : Well I have to go and find Siddie and Eric, their match is in 20 minutes, feel free to watch the match if want, and Jay . . .
Jay : Yes?
Kai : That was a new low, even for you . . .
Kai then ends the Call and Jay walks out of the room with the rest of the adults staring at each other, knowing Charlie is feeling depressed about what's happening on the Island, Jay just telling Lydia she's too young to have feelings for Charlie, Morro's son is in the Tournament, and Siddie and Eric are about to fight each other.
Meanwhile in the Royal Palace in Ninjago.
Empress Harumi : Jay, how could you say that to her?!
Jay : I'm sorry okay! I didn't think she would have taken that seriously.
Lloyd : You just hurt our daughter's feelings and now you say sorry.
Jay : I wasn't thinking straight okay!
Cole : Clearly. . .
Nya : That's enough alright, Siddie and Eric are supposed to fight each other in a few minutes, the only thing to do now is to watch and see what happens.
The adults then head back to Lloyd and Harumi's room to see what happens in Siddie and Eric's fight.
Meanwhile on Siddie's side of the Arena.
Siddie : The sooner this match is over the better, with Eric not being the smallest amount of useful since we got here.
Siddie then punched the bars of the cage with her bare hands, startling Richard.
Richard : Siddie are you okay?
Siddie : Of course not, I'm about to fight Eric, who hasn't been useful since we got to the island, and now that our parents know where here, I know this is only gonna get harder for all of us.
Meanwhile on Eric's side of the Arena :
Eric : This fight has been a long time coming since we got to this Island, and I may as well beat Siddie, I have been wanting too since we got here.
Nina : Please stop it Eric.
Kai, Lydia, and Charlie approached Nina and Eric to talk with them.
Nina : So how did the Chat go?
Kai : Not well, They all now know who Richard is, they know about Lydia's feelings for Charlie, and Jay said something really offensive to Lydia, and Skylor isn't any less worried about Charlie.
Nina then looks over to Richard and Siddie and shakes her head.
Richard then turns to Siddie.
Siddie : you don't need to said it Richard, It seemed obvious we were gonna face each other, so I may as well beat Eric already, I just want this to be over with.
Richard : If you say so.
Eric's Side of the Arena :
Nina : Good luck Eric.
Eric : Thanks, time to end this
Charlie : While I don't have a say in it, I'm not a man of this Eric, Siddie isn't your enemy, Eyezor and Clouse are, you need to remember that.
Eric : I remember our parents telling the best way to defeat your enemies, is to make them your friend, but how are you supposed to defeat your friend?
Kai, Nina, Lydia, and Charlie look at each other then hear the tournament music.
On the Sidelines : The Show is being televised with the adults watching, and the cameras zoom in on Kai and the rest of the kids.
Kai : Hey, you guys did all you could, the rest is up to them for this match.
Charlie : I hope they can see that too
Princess Lydia : I'm freaking out right now.
Charlie : It's okay Lydia, nothing bad is going to happen, just trust me.
Charlie then holds Lydia's hand to calm her down and as soon as Charlie looked towards Eric and Siddie, Lydia turned and kissed Charlie's cheek, shocking the adults as they saw what Lydia did, and Charlie looked at Lydia and smiled.
Kai : Nice to see not even your friends fighting each other can't drive you two apart.
Charlie : Nothing left to do but sit and watch.
Meanwhile in Ninjago : The adults just saw Charlie hold Lydia's hand and watched her kiss Charlie's cheek, leaving them all surprised.
Jay : Okay did I see what I just saw? for young lovebirds, that was gross.
Cole : Okay since when did you and Kai switch minds?
Nya started laughing at Cole's joke.
Empress Harumi : Okay and you know what Jay? Charlie is Kai and Skylor's son, not yours, and who cares how young those two are, if our princess likes Charlie for who he is, then so be it, you can't change that.
In the Arena :
Master Chen : Let the Tournament of Elements 2.0 continue!
Master Chen : Siddie, Master of Earth! versus Eric, Master of-
Eric then charges at Siddie and tries to splash her with water with her barely dodging Eric's attack, due to her being shocked by his determination to win the battle.
Eric : That's all you got?! Least valuable Young Ninja!
Siddie : Are you serious Eric?
Siddie and Eric begin hitting each other with their elemental powers very hard.
Cole : What on earth are they doing?!
Jay : Attacking each other, that's what.
Opal : Oh my goodness.
Nya : What are they thinking?
Eric : Seriously I am so going to enjoy the rest of the Tournament when this battle is over.
Siddie : I am looking forward to nothing but piece and quiet when your out of the tournament!
Siddie then blasts Eric back with her powers.
Siddie : What the heck are we doing? Neither of us should be out, were aren't enemies, Clouse and Eyezor are!
Eric : Trying to lower my guard to take the win, typical tactic from you Siddie!
Siddie : I wasn't trying to hurt you Eric, if it was only going to hurt both of us I would take it back.
Eric : Well if were going to be honest, I was jealous of Princess Lydia choosing Charlie, and you getting Richard, but because of my horsing around, I would take blame for that, before this tournament thing came up you were my best friend.
Siddie : I know, but if both of us can't win then what.
Eric : I'm gonna attack you, take the Jade Blade alright.
Siddie : Okay . . .
Siddie then jumps up the pillar to grab the blade, but intentionally falls down as she grabs it and throws it to Eric, and he catches it but is in shock that the Jade Blade is in his hands.
Master Chen : Winner!, and Loser . . . the Master of Water moves on.
Siddie : Eric you take it, I shouldn't be the one to separate you from your sister, win this whole thing okay. . . .
Eric : I will, I promise.
Cole and Opal are closely watching as they watch Chen trigger the trapdoor and send Siddie to the prisons.
Opal : No . . .
Cole : Well at least she did the right thing.
Charlie then hid his head against the railing for losing his friend, then he looked at his father, and so did the cameras.
Charlie : I can't believe this.
Kai : Siddie may be gone Charlie, but she didn't lose, she did the right thing, maybe what she did just now is a lesson for everybody in Ninjago, all we can do now is keep moving, until we can bring that force field down.
Charlie : Alright, I just hope this will be over soon, I don't know how much more of this pain I can keep taking.
Princess Lydia : It's okay Charlie, the same you said to me, I'm saying to you, whatever happens, I will be here, every step of the way.
Charlie then smiles at Princess Lydia as she kissed him on the cheek, and then they walked away, with Nina glad her brother still in the Tournament, and Kai proud that even when in pain and doubt, his son will never quit.
Next Time on The Tournament of Elements 2.0 : Clouse and Eyezor begin forcing the kids to face against each other as Chen's Thunderblade event resurfaces and pits Princess Lydia against the Master of Shadow, with Clouse and Eyezor threatening to disqualify all of the kids and Kai if they do not fight each other in the event, with Chen doing nothing but go with it, but as he shows signs of mischievous smiling with the princess losing the battle, Charlie and Kai do nothing but notice, and here's the question, does Chen know a whole lot more about the force field and the tournament then he lets on? or is it part of his act to keep Clouse and Eyezor from their betrayal?
