Chapter 5 : Spying for the Spy
ItsYoGreenGirl : No argument there when Chen apologized to Kai, and his little conversation with Charlie proved he was trying to change his ways, and you say actual 7 year olds fighting in a tournament, well for the record, Siddie and Princess Lydia are 6, and this point I think Kai is mostly around his mid 30's, same as his friends, but who knows if Chen really meant it or not, guess were all gonna have to wait and find out.
Previously on the Tournament of Elements : Nina completes her battle, with Nya and Jay glad that both of their kids are still in the Tournament, while Charlie is still upset about losing Siddie, and almost everybody in Ninjago saw the romantic moment between Charlie and Princess Lydia, but Jay disagrees and tells them all that the princess is too young to feel love with Kai and Skylor's son, with Lloyd taking his anger out on Jay, and threatening him if he says it again, while Lydia faces off against the Master of Shadow, and coming out victorious, but in doing so Charlie, Nina, Kai, and the others tell the remaining elemental masters about Clouse and Eyezor's mutiny, and that they need to escape the island, while in the Factory beneath the island, Joseph goes missing, and Siddie befriends Kayla and Trey, the Masters of Metal and Speed, while Siddie also finds Felicia in the prison, and tells her new friends that she is going to try her best to escape the Factory, while in Ninjago, Skylor, Harumi, Misako, Lloyd, Master Wu, and Garmadon attempt to reach the Island, will Charlie and his friends win the tournament, will Siddie help her new friends escape from the Factory? will Eyezor and Clouse rebel against Master Chen, Find Out Now!
In the Factory beneath the Island :
Siddie is seen working with Kayla and Trey and is in a good mood since she found Felicia yesterday.
Kayla : Why are you whistling?
Trey : Yesterday the great master of earth was sad, and not today, so what changed?
Siddie : Things are looking up on this island you guys, I came looking for a friend, and I found her, all I have to do now is get to Felicia and break her out.
Trey : Huh, not so easy.
Kayla : Clouse and Eyezor made it nearly impossible to escape the Factory, let alone the Island because of the force field.
Siddie : True, but the Island is huge, all I need to do is escape and survive on what we have, and I can hopefully message the others.
Siddie then puts a fortune inside one of the cookies and puts it onto the plate Trey is holding.
Trey : You put your message inside of a Cookie?
Siddie : Well yea, that's why it's called a Fortune Cookie, learned that the hard way.
Siddie remembers what happened when she was with Nina, Eric, and Charlie behind the noodle house after she ate the fortune cookie.
Kayla : You okay?
Siddie : Oh yea, I'm alright.
Siddie then grabs the plate from Trey and gives it to one of the guards.
Siddie : Your order for the feast is ready.
Kayla : If you get out Siddie, don't forget about the rest of us.
Siddie : Of course.
Trey : I hope that message will end up in the right hands.
Siddie : You and me both my friends, all I need to do now is find a way out of this place.
Siddie then notices a guard eating the fortune cookies, and saw that he has the keys to the cells.
Siddie : I think I just figured it out.
Meanwhile near the docks of Ninjago City : Harumi, Lloyd, Skylor, Garmadon, Misako, and Master Wu are all planning to go to the Island, if Garmadon can break through the force field, while Nya, Jay, Opal, Cole, Pixal, and Zane will stay back in Ninjago and get word to the Commissioner about Eyezor and Clouse.
Nya : Are you guys sure you wanna do this?
Skylor : Yes, I do not care if Clouse and Eyezor are going to rebel against my father, all I care about is making sure Charlie and Kai are okay, and getting Felicia off of that Island.
Empress Harumi : The same with Lydia.
Lloyd : I just want all of them off that island, and Eyezor and Clouse back to the realm they came from.
Opal : Though if it's true that Chen changed his ways, what are you going to do with him?
Garmadon : We don't know yet.
Cole : Well, be careful.
Suddenly, Zane was getting a signal and he told the others.
Zane : I am getting a signal from the island, it appears to be the last fight before the Quarter-Finals.
Nya : Who's
Zane : Kai's
Skylor : Well let's look at it then.
Zane then uses he eyes to project the show which is viewing Kai and the Master of Poison, Teresa, in one of the arenas.
Meanwhile on the Island.
Master Chen : It is Time for our final match in the Round of 16.
Master Chen : Teresa, the Master of Poison, versus my son in-law Kai, the Master of Fire.
Master Chen : Fight!
Kai then charges at Rock where the Jade Blade is, while Teresa keeps shooting poison at Kai, to try and knock him out.
Charlie and the others are watching from the sideline, with Charlie hoping his father will win.
Charlie : Come on Dad, win this. . .
Just as Teresa was about to grab the Jade Blade, Kai jumped up and pushed her off the rock, keeping his hand hovering over the blade for a solid minute, with everybody on the sidelines, and in Ninjago noticing his hand slowly moving closer to the blade, and even Skylor and Lloyd were finding it funny.
Skylor : Come on Kai, grab the blade already.
Teresa : Don't you dare!
Teresa tries to climb back up the rock, just as Kai grabs the blade.
Kai : Yea!
Master Chen : Winner! and Loser . . .
Chen triggers the trap door and sends Teresa to the Factory.
Master Chen : That was unnecessary and funny at the same time Kai.
Kai : Thank you.
Master Chen : And That is it everybody, the Round of 16 is over, and we have the final eight elemental masters going into the Quarter-Finals of the tournament. . .
Fire
Water
Lightning
Energy
Mind
Wind
Ice
and of Course . . . Amber!
Master Chen : The show will still continue as you may all head to the throne room now for the feast to congratulate you all on making it to the second round.
Princess Lydia : Sounds like something Siddie would like.
Eric : Oh shut it princess.
Charlie tries to keep his anger beneath him, no longer wanting to put up with his cousin's attitude.
Kai : Eric, give it a rest, okay?
The Elemental Masters then head towards the throne room, while the adults finish their conversation.
Skylor : Well at least Kai and Charlie are okay. . .
Lloyd : We should probably head to the Island.
Empress Harumi : You guys remember to tell the Commissioner about this.
Cole : We will.
Nya : I just can't believe you guys are actually using the Bounty again.
Lloyd : Yea I know, but we gotta get to the Island somehow.
Jay : Be careful, and good luck guys.
Misako : Thanks, see you guys later.
And the Destiny's Bounty left the docks, heading for the Island, while Jay, Nya, Cole, Opal, Pixal, and Zane, head back to Ninjago City to find the Commissioner.
About 30 Minutes Later On the Island :
The Young Ninjas were in the throne room with Kai, somewhat enjoying the feast, while Master Chen had just finished the bracket, showing what the Quarter-Finals would look like.
Kai would face against Xavier
Eric would be facing Lydia
Nina would be facing Richard
and Charlie would be facing Nicholas.
Master Chen : You guys should really be trying my special dumplings, their delicious.
But as the guards walked by, the kids noticed they not only seemed burnt, but gross at the same time.
Princess Lydia : I think I'm gonna pass.
Master Chen : Oh lighten up Princess, this is a special feast for you all making it to the Quarter-Finals, and I must also congratulate the Master of the Mind, Nicholas, over the Master of Light, Paleman Jr., he was a bit difficult to see huh?
Charlie : Grandfather, that wasn't really funny.
Kai : Charlie, are you okay?
Charlie just shook his hand, and put his head down on the table, showing Kai and Chen that he hasn't been feeling any better since they got to the Island.
Just then, the Guards starting walking around with the Fortune Cookies, and Richard grabbed the cookie that had Siddie's Message.
Richard then looked at the message read what it said
Richard : "If this message ends up in the right hands, this is Siddie, and I found Felicia, I'm going to break her out of the Factory tonight, and see if there is any way to escape the Island."
Richard then walked over to Nina and Kai, to give them Siddie's Message.
Nina : What do you want Richard?
Richard : This message that was inside my Fortune Cookie tells me your friend Siddie, found your cousin Felicia, and she's gonna break her out tonight, your lucky that didn't end up in the wrong hands.
Charlie immediately threw his head up when Richard started talking, and was overjoyed when Richard mentioned that Siddie had found Felicia.
Nina : She found Felicia. . .
Charlie : I knew it!
Nina : Thank you Richard, Charlie and Siddie were right when they said I should trust you, and now I know I can.
Richard then smiled at Nina before he went back to eating, and everybody was happy that Siddie found Felicia, but Nicholas hear what they were saying, and he grabbed his plastic utensils and snapped them in half, drawing concern from Charlie and Princess Lydia.
Charlie : You guys saw that too right.
Princess Lydia : Yea, I did.
Just then Master Chen walked over to Charlie and Kai, to tell him something.
Master Chen : Kai, something you and your son must know, is that the same thing that happened before, is happening now, Clouse and Eyezor "recruited" one of the remaining fighters to their side.
Kai : What?
Master Chen : There's a spy among you all.
Master Chen then walks away, leaving the kids in worry.
Princess Lydia : Who do you think the spy is?
Charlie : I have my suspicions. . . .
Charlie then stares at Nicholas, before he walks away and starts to head to his quarters.
Charlie : Dad, if you can get the chance, grab everybody and get up to my quarters, we need to find out who Clouse's Spy is.
Kai : I'll see what I can do.
Meanwhile near the force field of the Island.
Lloyd : Okay Father, you think you can use your powers to break through the force field.
Garmadon : I can try.
Garmadon then shoots his powers but all it did was cause a small wave.
Empress Harumi : Nothing.
Lloyd : I meant shoot beams at the force field with all of your hands.
Garmadon : Well maybe you should be more explicit.
Lloyd : Just do it alright.
For a solid minute, nothing happened, then everybody started noticing what seemed like cracks forming in the force field, so Garmadon kept shooting with his powers, and after about 2 minutes a gap appeared in the force field that was slowly closing again.
Empress Harumi : He got it!
Skylor : Well let's get the Bounty through before the force field closes.
Skylor and the others then sail the Bounty through the gap in the force field so they can get to the Island, and they sail around near the jungle so Clouse and Eyezor can't find the bounty, but while they were heading towards the Jungle, they tripped a wire, alerting Clouse and Eyezor that somebody was on the Island, and while they were checking so, Skylor, Lloyd, and the others took off running into the jungle, with a device so they could still see what is happening in the Tournament, through the security cameras Chen put up in each of their quarters.
Meanwhile in Charlie's quarters.
Charlie : Now, we know there is a spy among us, and I have a thought about who it is, but that doesn't mean it isn't them, considering how this spy thing worked out when my father was in the original tournament, and nobody is leaving this room until we find out who it is.
Princess Lydia then stared at Nicholas with a convinced look on her face.
Nicholas : Why you looking at my little princess, I'm not your spy.
Eric : That remains to be seen.
Charlie : You want me to check your head and find out?
Kai : Charlie . . .
Nicholas : How about I check your head, why should any of us believe what you say, you are Chen's grandson after all.
Xavier : That is true.
Nina : Shut it ridiculous robot.
Eric : I hate to say it, but I have to agree with Xavier and Nicholas.
Charlie : What?
Princess Lydia : Okay, so what if Charlie is related to Master Chen, that doesn't mean he's working for him, Skylor is related to Chen, and was she working alongside him the entire time, no.
Kai : She has a point.
Nina : Wait, where did Charlie go?
While they were talking, Charlie used the power of Shadow to disappear from the others, then reappeared in the corner.
Nicholas : There, get him!
Charlie : Nicholas, i'm not the spy, and I'm not your friend either, I will get you out of this tournament.
Then Eric and Xavier used their powers to try and hit Charlie, but in doing so, they did the bookshelf in his room which crushed Lydia's leg.
Princess Lydia : My leg, get this thing off me!
Charlie : Lydia!
Charlie then used Richard's powers, to blow his cousin, and his so called friends, out of his quarters to help the Princess, but as he did Lydia started crying in pain.
Lydia : Why am I always the one getting caught in the middle of the crossfire, ouch.
Kai : Okay Lydia, just sit down, Nina, go find Chen and tell him about this.
Nina : Okay, I'll be right back.
Nina then left the quarters looking for Chen, leaving Charlie in anger for Xavier and Eric's decision, and leaving Lydia in nothing but pain.
Meanwhile in the Throne Room.
Eyezor approaches Clouse and tells him the "good news" while Lloyd has turned on the device to hear what they are saying.
Lloyd : Alright, let's see what's going on.
Skylor : This better be good.
Eyezor : Clouse, good news.
Clouse : What is it?
Eyezor : Our spy has told me that the Emerald Princess is hurt.
Empress Harumi : What?!
Clouse : Good, and your not going to believe what that security alarm was about.
Clouse then showed Eyezor that whoever triggered the security alarm was too fast for the cameras, but not too fast for the Bounty.
Eyezor : Is that the Destiny's Bounty?
Clouse : The Ninja are here . . .
Eyezor : I think it's time for a repeat of our favorite event from the last tournament.
Clouse and Eyezor began laughing mischievously, and Lloyd then turned off the device, and they began running once they heard the guards.
Skylor : Oh dear.
Empress Harumi : Now what?
Lloyd : Run!
Meanwhile in the Noodle Factory.
Siddie is about to make her move and steal the cell keys from the guard.
Siddie : Kayla, Trey, I need your help.
Trey : with what?
Siddie : I need to get the cell keys from the guard, but I can't do it by myself.
Kayla : Say no more, were in.
Kayla and Trey began attacking the guards by throwing food at them, and Siddie began breaking the Noodle Machine, to get the Cell Guard's attention.
Siddie : Come at me food eating freak.
Guard : Get her!
The Guards then tackled Siddie but in doing so, she grabbed the keys and hid them in her coat, and the guards made Kayla and Trey surrender, and they took them back to their cells.
Guard : And stay in there!
Siddie : It was all worth it . . !
Siddie : . . . For these!
Siddie then unlocked her cell, and then she got Kayla and Trey out of their's and they went to grab Felicia.
Felicia : What am I supposed to do now.
Felicia then noticed somebody unlocking her cell, and it was Siddie, and she got Felicia out of the chains and helped her up.
Felicia : Siddie, you came back.
Siddie : Of course I did, now we just gotta get into the jungle and stay hidden until we can escape the Island.
Siddie looked around and saw none of the guards.
Siddie : Alright guys, let's go.
Trey : Right behind you.
Meanwhile in Ninjago :
Nya : Were telling you Commissioner, Chen is back, and our kids are stuck on that Island.
Commissioner Stevens : But without a way to destroy the force field, we can't help you, so until it goes down, or I see one of your kids in Ninjago, you can't do anything but wait.
Jay : Well he's no help.
Cole : No offense Commissioner, but waiting requires patience, and patience, is something I am quickly running out of.
Opal : Cole, calm down okay.
Just then, Nya got a call from Lloyd, she quickly answered, but saw Lloyd and the others running through from some jungle.
Lloyd : Didn't think you would actually answer.
Nya : Lloyd, what's going on?
Lloyd : We got on the Island, but we tripped an alarm, and now Clouse and Eyezor are trying to get eyes on us, we don't know where were going though, were just trying to get out of sight.
Cole : Your father destroyed the force field.
Empress Harumi : Not really, Garmadon made a small gap through it, allowing us to fit the Bounty through the gap, if we shut that force field down, we can use the Bounty to find the kids and get out of here, and see if we can trap Eyezor and Clouse here, but for now we don't have any idea how.
Nya : Well just keep on running for now, and we will try to get to the Island.
Commissioner Stevens : Just hang in there, we'll see what we can do.
Nya ends the Call.
Meanwhile beneath the Island :
Felicia : Alright, according to the Map, the exit should be just around the next corner.
Siddie : You know what, maybe you guys should go ahead.
Kayla : What?
Trey : Siddie what are you saying?
Siddie : Charlie kept on talking about the ways of the ninja, and a Ninja doesn't save himself, or leaves another's side, regardless of what's happened in this Tournament so far, we need go back and save the Elemental Masters from the Prison.
Felicia : If that's true, then I won't leave your side either Siddie.
Siddie : We can get off this Island one day you guys, but it's going to be all of us or none of us.
Meanwhile in Princess Lydia's Quarters.
Charlie knocks on the door.
Charlie : Hey Lydia, can I come in?
Princess Lydia : Yea come in.
Charlie approaches Lydia and sees her whole right leg is bandages up, due to the bookshelf actually breaking one of her bones.
Charlie : Are you Okay?
Princess Lydia : Yea, though I think it's safe to say when my next fight comes, I'm as good as out, the broken bone inside my leg needs to be fixed by professionals, so if we ever leave this island, I'm gonna be stuck like this.
Charlie : I'm just glad it was only your leg that got crushed, and not your ability to never quit.
Charlie then helped Lydia stand up and he kissed her, which she returned, and while they were enjoying the moment, Kai walked in saying that the next Challenge required all 8 of the remaining fighters.
Kai : Sorry to interrupt you kids, but we need to get to the Airship.
Princess Lydia : Why?
Kai : The next challenge is coming, and it requires all of us, I think I know which challenge it is, but we gotta wait and find out.
Charlie : Alright, let's go.
Charlie and Kai try walking to the door, but Lydia trips over herself and falls on her leg.
Princess Lydia : Ouch. . .
Kai : Lydia you okay?
Charlie : It's okay Dad, I got her.
Charlie then used the earth powers to make him stronger, and grabbed Lydia and started carrying her to the airship.
Charlie : I know there are easier ways to help you get to the airship, but I like it better this way.
Princess Lydia : So do I. . .
Lydia then had Charlie put her down, and she kissed him, with a small bit of power emitting from Charlie, and Kai noticed, meaning Charlie was closer to unlocking his true potential, and Kai realizing that Charlie's destiny as a ninja, may be similar to his own.
Kai and Charlie, then make it outside to the airship where the others were waiting, but Eric and Xavier seemed more curious in why Charlie was carrying the princess in his arms.
Nina : There you guys are.
Eric : I have seen a lot of things around the corner of love and happiness, but what I saw from Charlie and Lydia was at the corner of awkward and gross,
Nina then hit her brother in the back of the head, being just as fed up with his attitude as Charlie.
Nina : You need to give it a rest.
Xavier : Why should we be over Charlie and Lydia's weird love games?
Princess Lydia : Well excuse Charlie for helping me down here, it's thanks to you two that I can't walk.
Eric and Xavier were about to say something but they didn't after they realized that the princess was right.
Eric : Your right Lydia, and were sorry.
Princess Lydia : I may accept your apology soon, but not now.
Eyezor : Alright kids, get onto the Airship it's time for the next Challenge.
Next Time on the Tournament of Elements 2.0 :
Eyezor and Clouse reveal that the remaining fighters are supposed to hunt down Charlie's Mother and Lydia's family, and the weird emitting power from Charlie will come into play, and all of Ninjago will see, as the Commissioner has Cyrus Borg, Pixal, and Zane try to find a way to get onto the Island, Siddie tries to find a way to break the remaining elemental masters out of the Noodle Factory.
Will the Young Ninjas save Skylor, Lloyd, Harumi, Garmadon, Wu, and Misako in time?
Will the Nindroids find a way to reach the Island.
Will Siddie and Felicia escape the Factory?
