The Tournament of Elements 2.0
Chapter 10 : The Airship Assault
Previously on the Tournament of Elements 2.0 : Lydia is still unsure about her new appearance, while Charlie still chose to tell Lydia that it isn't her looks that made her who she is, it's what's inside of her, and even said that, plus her ability to never quit, is what makes her the Green Ninja, while Lloyd heard the whole thing, and understood why Charlie said such, while Chen and Garmadon try locating Clouse, the spell starts to ware off, with Chen telling Lloyd and Skylor for when they find Pythor, to have Lydia keep her distance, because nobody wants her stuck like that forever, while the kids fall asleep on the bounty, a weird sound grabs Cole's attention, and when he looks back at the sound, he sees all of Clouse's men flying right behind them ready to attack . . .
Will the Destiny's Bounty go down?, will the Elemental Masters reach Crashcourse Canyon? will Clouse's plans be stoppped?

9:45 p.m. on the Destiny's Bounty
Skylor : What are we supposed to do?
Clouse : Surrender!
Master Chen : Not a chance, Clouse!
Lloyd : Kai, go get the kids, we aren't going to take all these things down on our own.
Kai : On it.
Clouse : You can quit right now, or watch your ship go down.
Nya : Give us one good reason why we shouldn't fight back!
Clouse : Give me a minute . . .
Meanwhile in the Sleeping Quarters
Kai bursts into the room and tries to wake up the kids.
Kai : Kids, wake up!
Richard : Huh?
Charlie : Dad, what's going on?
Kai : Clouse is here, he's preparing to shoot the ship down, we need to defend the Bounty.
Princess Lydia : Why can't we catch a break.
Siddie : Who knows, who cares, It's time to stop laying low and take the fight back to him!
Nina and Eric : Yea!
Kai : Alright, let's go!
Kai then brings the kids up to the bridge as Clouse and his men are still flying behind them, trying to think of a reason why they shouldn't try fighting.
Chope : Who I think I got an idea . . .
Chope : wait, um. . .
Skylor : Take all the time you need.
Just as Skylor was done talking, Charlie came up from behind and blasted one of the Blade-Copters right out of the sky.
Eyezor : Or your in for it now. . .
Clouse : Get them!
Charlie : Somebody get the ship moving!
Zane hit the ignition switch and Nya started flying the Bounty away from Clouse's men at high speeds, but the Bounty wasn't the only thing that was fast.
Clouse then decided to start shooting Rockets at the Bounty.
Clouse : Let's see if the Bounty has Blast Resistance.
Richard : What?!
Clouse then starts shooting the rockets.
Charlie : Incoming!
Nya steers the Bounty away but Clouse keeps on firing, as his troops attempt to reach the front of the Ship and board.
Siddie : Okay, if this is how fast the Bounty is gonna go, then were in for serious trouble.
Eyezor : Board their ship, and take them down!
The Blade-Copters then began flying towards the bounty and crashing into it, due to the hull being made of Chronosteel, Clouse's men were jumping onto the ship and sending the Blade-Copters down.
Clouse : I'm going aboard that thing, keep the jet steady.
Eyezor : Got it.
Clouse then jumped onto the Destiny's Bounty and was staring straight at Charlie.
Clouse : Time to end this.
Charlie : You tried Clouse?
Clouse : No.
Charlie : Good, because there's no time to sleep when your facing your worst nightmare!
Charlie then charged at Clouse and began sparring with him, while the others were trying to get rid of Clouse's men.
Clouse : Take that nindroid down!
Pixal : Me?
Richard : He's trying to get the remote.
Charlie then uses his powers and blasts Clouse against the mast of the ship.
Charlie : Well then we need to get that remote out of here, the Samurai X suit is still on the ship.
Xavier : Felicia and I will help my mother get to it and get out of here, while you guys keep these snakes busy.
Nina : Thanks for the nomination.
Eric : Yea we got attacked by these guys very hard even before they were snakes last time, Xavier, why do you get the easy task?
Xavier : Because i'm the intelligent one.
Xavier and Felicia head below deck with Pixal to get the Samurai X suit so Pixal can escape with the remote to the force field.
Nya : Okay, not only should I be curious on why I'm steering the ship when there's an auto-pilot, but why are we just standing here and watching the kids fight against these snakes.
Jay : Why did you wait until now to ask that?
Cole : Come on!
Cole, Jay, Skylor, and Kai went down to the deck to help the kids hold off the snakes.
Just then Eyezor got a good shot at the console in the bridge, and opened fire as soon as Eric climbed up to the bridge.
Nya : Oh crud . . .
Eric : Mom, get down!
Eric grabs Nya and jumps over the steering wheel of the ship, just as Eyezor's rocket blasts the console and the ship starts stalling.
Nya : That's not good . . .
Felicia : You think?!
Clouse then used this as an opportunity to reach below deck of the Bounty and catch up with Xavier and Felicia.
Felicia : Why is the ship falling to the ground?
Pixal : Why is Clouse right behind us.
Felicia and Xavier turned around and saw Clouse coming their way.
Felicia : The Samurai X suit isn't much further, go Pixal, we'll hold this impostor back!
Felicia and Xavier begin sparring with Clouse, but due to him being an Anacondrai, it wasn't easy
On the Deck of the Bounty, the ship continues falling towards the ground and the kids are still fighting the snakes.
Cole : Were gonna crash if we don't stabilize the Bounty.
Nya then runs across the ship to reach the Bridge, and grab the Steering wheel.
Nya : Come on, come on!
While Nya was trying to keep the ship from falling, Eyezor was preparing to fire another rocket.
Charlie and Lydia notice how close Eyezor is to the ship, and see that the hatch on the Roto-Jet was opened.
Lydia then stared at Charlie with worry, but he nods and grabs her hand.
Charlie : We'll see you guys on the other side!
Kai : wait, What?
Charlie and Lydia jump off the Bounty and onto the Roto-Jet and Charlie used his powers to smash the control panel causing the Jet to start falling to the ground.
Lydia then grabs Eyezor and makes him face Charlie.
Charlie : So long, you scheming snake!
Charlie grabs Eyezor and throws him out of the Jet, then puts Lydia in, and closes the hatch.
Charlie : The jet should protect you from getting hurt.
Princess Lydia : But what about you Charlie?
Charlie : I'll be okay, trust me . . .
Charlie jumps off the Roto-Jet and watches it fall towards the ground.
Meanwhile beneath the Deck of the Bounty
Clouse : So long robot!
Clouse throws Xavier across the hallway, and starts sparring with Felicia.
Clouse : With your green friend turned into a snake, and your brother not able to protect any of you, your little team will fall apart!
Felicia : My brother will lead them and he will make sure you go down, if it's the last thing he does, our grandfather says you won't give up, well my brother never gives up, and neither will I!
Clouse then grabs a Box and throws it through a wooden wall, creating a hole, and he tries to shove Felicia through it, just as Xavier gets up.
Xavier : I'm coming Felicia.
But as Xavier was almost there, Nya tried to bring the ship higher up, which made him fall down again, just as Felicia was about to fall, Pixal came up behind Clouse.
Pixal : You want the remote to the force field, then take it!
Pixal then threw the remote off the Bounty and saw it fall, and Clouse jumped off the ship also and was caught by one of the Blade-Copters.
Xavier : I got you, Felicia.
Meanwhile on the Deck of the Bounty
Chope : We have what we came for, retreat!
The snakes started retreating but as they started jumping off the ship, it was going down again.
Nya : Cole, Siddie, help me!
Cole and Siddie ran over to Nya and used their powers to try and make the Bounty fly higher, but as they did the whole wheel came off.
Siddie : Okay, that's not good.
Nya stood up and saw they were losing altitude fast.
Nya : We're going down, brace for impact!
Meanwhile in an unknown location in Ninjago.
The Roto-Jet crashed and Lydia climbed out perfectly fine, when she turned around, she saw Charlie landed in a lake.
Charlie saw Lydia and ran over to her.
Charlie : You okay?
Princess Lydia : I think so, but I bet were miles from the ship now.
Charlie : Well if nobody else is out here, and we need to try finding the bounty, maybe we should be together.
Charlie grabbed Lydia's hand but tried to quickly change what he said.
Charlie : Wait wait, I meant . . .
Lydia interrupted by kissing Charlie's cheek, and then she smiled at him.
Princess Lydia : It's okay Charlie, as long as you're with me, then I know we should be fine, let's go.
Charlie then heard a loud crash . . .
Princess Lydia : What was that?
Charlie : I think that was the Bounty. . .
Princess Lydia : We should probably head that way and see if they're alright.
Charlie : Good idea.
Princess Lydia : Where are we anyways?
Charlie looked around and saw they were in a forest with what seemed like dark wooded trees.
Charlie : Judging from the dry grass and trees, I'm guessing were in the Blackwood Forest.
Princess Lydia : You sure know your way around Ninjago, Charlie.
Charlie : Some knowledge is worth learning, even outside of School, especially Ninjago and Locations around the 16 realms.
Princess Lydia giggled at Charlie's comment, and they walked off into the Forest to try and find the Bounty.
Meanwhile at the Destiny's Bounty Crash Site.
Felicia : Okay, let's never do that again.
Eric : Deal.
Xavier : Well think about it, if my mother didn't get rid of the remote, that could have gotten a lot worse.
Siddie : Yea, good news and bad news there.
Felicia : What?
Siddie : Good news is, Felicia didn't go flying off the ship and into the forest.
Richard : Bad news is, Clouse will be able to get all of his men off that Island, and unless we find Pythor, I think it's safe to say Clouse started Serpentine War 3.
Eric : Not to mention that Charlie and Lydia are gone . . .
Nina : Again . . .
Jay : So what do we do now?
Xavier : Well at the moment it's 10:35.
Nina : Maybe we should just set up camp or something outside the ship, because we can't fix the Bounty right this minute, and if any of us go into the forest to find Lydia and Charlie, were bound to get lost too.
Nya : Nina's right, we can't do anything to fix the Bounty right now.
Felicia : But for every second Lydia and Charlie are missing, not to mention we stay right here, the more time we allow Clouse to get a head start.
Kai : That may be Felicia, but until Charlie and Lydia come up, we don't have many options, besides waiting.
Felicia : Alright, I just hope they'll be okay in the Forest on their own.
Lloyd : I'm sure they'll be alright, they seem to be looking out for each other.
Meanwhile in the Forest
Princess Lydia : Charlie, i'm scared . . .
Charlie : I know, a forest like this can be creepy, but our only option is to keep moving.
Princess Lydia : Though the more we keep moving around, the harder it's gonna be somebody to find us, it's the middle of the night, not to mention all we can try doing was following where the sound of that crash came from, and we don't even know if it was Bounty.
Just then a weird snap happened and Lydia was shocked.
Princess Lydia : What was that?
Charlie : It's just a branch.
Just then something came behind Lydia and jumped on her tail, causing a sharp amount of pain.
Princess Lydia : Ouch, my tail!
Charlie went behind Lydia and blasted whatever it was with his powers, but the creature stood back and and tried to explain.
Unknown Creature : Don't hurt me please!
Princess Lydia : I've heard that voice . . .
Charlie : Who are you?
The creature revealed his face, and Princess Lydia and Charlie were shocked by who it was.
Charlie : Skales?!
Skales : For the record, blasting me with your powers was unnecessary.
Princess Lydia : So was hurting my tail, yet you did that anyway.
Skales : May I ask my the Emerald Princess is a snake?
Charlie : Master Chen's right hand man, Clouse did this to her, using broken pieces of the old Oni Masks, he completed the spell to turn his entire army into Anacondrai.
Princess Lydia : Which may not have happened if they didn't escape the Departed Realm.
Skales : Wait, so your saying . . .
Charlie : The 3rd Serpentine War is coming . . .
Shocked, Skales knew somebody who could help them, and he was also in the forest.
Skales : I think I know somebody who can help you.
Charlie : Who?
Skales : A friend of mine, who is also an Elemental Master.
Princess Lydia : What's his element?
Skales : Sand.
Curious of his answer, Princess Lydia and Charlie decided to follow Skales.
Princess Lydia : I'm not sure about this though, considering one of my great-grandfather's laws was to never trust a snake.
Charlie : Well for now i'm trusting you aren't I?
Princess Lydia : Fair enough.
Skales : This man may be a shock to you though Lydia.
Princess Lydia : How so?
Skales stopped right before he helped them climb up a big tree that was laying across the path.
Skales : You will see when he explains everything.
Charlie : Are you hiding something Skales?
Skales : I'm the leader of the serpentine, of course I'm hiding something.
Charlie : Well you came to fight alongside our parents at the Corridor of Elders, during the 2nd Serpentine War, how is this any different.
Princess Lydia : Well for one it's the 3rd Serpentine War.
Princess Lydia then laughed at her own joke, while Charlie seemed a bit annoyed.
Charlie : Real funny, princess.
Skales : 2nd of all, This one won't be as easy to win as the first one Charlie, or the second.
Charlie : Believe me, I know that, the end of the first war was due to the discovery of the Magic Flutes, and the second was when Garmadon banished himself to the Cursed Realm to unleash the spirits of the Anacondrai Generals to curse Chen's army.
Charlie : Now, we don't have either, no Magic Flute, or Cursed Realm.
Skales : Well at least you have knowledge of Ninjago's history.
Charlie : And Ninjago itself.
Skales : Do you tell many people about your knowledge.
Charlie : When I want to.
Skales : Good, be careful about who you tell with knowledge like that, some people may try to use it against you.
Charlie : Noted.
Meanwhile at the Destiny's Bounty Crash Site
Nya : Well at least now the kids are asleep.
Kai : So is there nothing for us to do but wait then?
Lloyd : Pretty much.
Empress Harumi : Lloyd, are we seriously leaving our daughter, and Charlie, in that forest by themselves?
Lloyd : Rumi, they damaged the scanners on the Bounty so we can't track them, and we can't go into the forest to find them at this hour, or we'll get lost ourselves.
Empress Harumi : Is there no way for us to contact the others either?
Skylor : Nope.
Cole : I'm pretty that was on the worst crashes this thing has gone through.
Jay : Don't even start, we don't need more trips down our obnoxious memory lane right now.
Everybody then stared at Jay for what he said.
Jay : And there's something i'll never say again.
Kai : Maybe we should try and rest too, I mean we can't do anything to fix the Bounty until morning.
Skylor : Kai's right, the only thing for us to do is wait.
The adults then tried to go to sleep until morning, hoping when the sun rises, they can fix the Bounty and find Charlie and Lydia.
Meanwhile in the Forest
Skales : Were almost there, I just hope my old friends and that little family of his won't cause problems.
Charlie : Wait what?
Skales : The kids who were with you in that Tournament, weren't the only Elemental Masters, Charlie, there's always more of them.
Charlie : How many Elemental Masters are there?
Skales : More then you think, not as many as there could be.
Princess Lydia : True that, I mean there's a Master of Speed, and Speed isn't even an Element.
Charlie : Fair point.
Skales then cut some branches out of the way and saw what seemed like a camp, with a man standing near a fire.
Unknown Man : Skales, there you are, thought you were said you gonna find out what that huge crash sound was?
Skales : Got sidetracked, ran into a few young elemental masters.
Skales moved out of the way and showed Charlie and Princess Lydia to the stranger.
Princess Lydia : Hello. . .
Charlie : Pretty sure you don't know who we are, but-
Unknown Man : I know who you are Charlie, same with you Lydia.
It was Charlie and Princess Lydia's turn to be surprised, curious of how this man knew who they were.
Unknown Man : Pretty sure Skales must have told you about my elemental powers also.
The stranger showed them his elemental power of sand, which Charlie seemed to understand.
Charlie : Well at least I won't have to worry about lighting stuff on fire, since Water isn't the only elemental that can put one out.
Unknown Man : Sand isn't the only one either you know, Ice and Snow can take care of a fire also.
Charlie : Fair enough.
Charlie and Lydia sit down next to the Stranger, and Skales does the same thing, on the opposite side of the fire.
Princess Lydia : Excuse me, but who are you?
Unknown Man : My name is Brenden, the Elemental Master of Sand, I've been living like a ghost in Ninjago for about 7 years.
Charlie : Your name sounds familiar to me.
Brenden : It should Charlie, I'm the the older brother of the Jade Empress.
Charlie : You mean Empress Harumi?
Brenden : Yes. . .
Princess Lydia : Now I remember, my mother said you went missing about a year before she and my father became the Emperor and Empress of Ninjago.
Brenden : I did.
Princess Lydia : She thought you were dead.
Brenden : I wasn't, I was in another realm, two realms actually.
Charlie : Where?
Brenden : The Never-Realm.
Charlie : The other realm?
Brenden : That's a long story Charlie, all I'm going to say to start if off, is that time and space works differently in the Never-Realm, 7 years for you, different time for me.
Princess Lydia : How long was it?
Brenden : I don't know.
Suddenly, a person came out of a tent that was near the river, and came to talk to Brenden.
Person : Brenden, who are you talking to?
Brenden : Charlie, Lydia, don't know if your parents ever told you about the time when they were in the Never-Realm?
Charlie : Yea they have.
Brenden : That's Akita, Formling of the White Wolf, and Leader of the Formlings.
Akita : Charmed . . .
Brenden : Akita, this is Charlie and Princess Lydia, Masters of Amber and Energy.
Akita : Would have guessed.
Princess Lydia : How?
Akita : Well the suits first of all, and second I fought alongside your father when he was in the Never-Realm.
Brenden : Alongside, yea we can go with that.
Akita : Really?
Brenden : Akita, you threatened to kill him twice.
Akita : Well for one, he was insulting me, and second of all, the Ice Emperor froze my village and captured my brother, and he tried to keep me for bringing him to justice.
Brenden : And you insulted Harumi first, so that's why he did, and second of all, Vex used the scepter to control Zane, so all those problems Zane caused in the Never-Realm, were Vex's fault, not his, and for the record, for somebody with acts of aggression like that, your idea of justice is death.
Akita : Fair enough.
Charlie : What are you guys doing in Ninjago anyways?
Brenden : I've kept my distance from my sister, and Lloyd, with how long's it been, and the path i'm walking on now, I don't know if I could get the chance to walk on my old path and go see them.
Princess Lydia : Why not, I'm sure they would want to see you.
Brenden : Lydia, I know, I just don't know what I would say, "Hey may not remember but i'm your brother who mysteriously vanished into another realm and stayed off the grid for almost a decade"?
Charlie : Sheesh.
Brenden : Now you know how I feel.
Skales : Brenden has pretty much remained between here and the village that was built a few years ago in the Birchwood Forest.
Brenden : A Snowstorm more dangerous than to any that had come before had struck in the Never-Realm, not sure if anybody else got out alive, so Akita and I left.
Akita : And we came with my brother, and my kids who are supposed to be the next formlings.
Brenden : If they find their animal forms, because Vex didn't.
Akita : Fair enough.
Charlie : Wait a minute, how many more people do you have?
Brenden : Including myself and Akita, 5.
Princess Lydia : Well we didn't mean to appear out of the bushes and cause problems for you, were only in the forest because our ship crashed.
Brenden : The Destiny's Bounty?
Charlie : Yep.
Brenden : Were you parents with you also?
Princess Lydia : Yea they were.
Akita : Oh, just perfect . . .
Charlie : What?
Brenden : Harumi and Lloyd is stressful enough, but all of your parents, as well as your friends, I don't know how to handle that.
Akita : Or me, since I knew sometime in the future I would see Lloyd again, I just didn't think it would be under these circumstances.
Akita : Though if I didn't get my brother back, I would have probably come here with Lloyd anyway, I wish I could have seen Ninjago back when he asked me, because so far, even if were in a forest, from what I have seen in Ninjago, it's beautiful.
Princess Lydia : Right now were living in a time where all of the realm is on the verge of war, but for people like our parents, who were the protectors of the realm, and expect us to do that job in our future, then it will always be war time for us.
Charlie : Amen, to that one sister.
Skales : So what should we do then?
Brenden : Well it's dark out now, so my best suggestion is wait until morning.
Charlie : Skales.
Skales : yes Charlie?
Charlie : Do you know where Pythor is?
Skales : No, why?
Princess Lydia : The spell Clouse used to make his entire army, and myself, Anacondrai is wearing off, in order for the spell to become permanent, they need to obtain the essence of a true Anacondrai, and Pythor is the only one left, and since Clouse can now get all of his men off that Island, we need to find him first.
Brenden : I may be able to help you kids out with that, but not right this minute, I feel it's best to wait until morning before I help you find him.
Akita : While doing that Brenden, I think it may be best if we find Lloyd.
Brenden : Yea, that's true.
Princess Lydia : I'm sure somebody like my father can understand.
Brenden : I hope so, I know we were friends before this entire mess I went through, I just don't know what your parents' reaction will be when they see me after 7 years.
Charlie : With that I have seen from the Emperor and Empress so far, I'm sure they will understand.
Akita : For the short time Lloyd was in the Never-Realm with me, I could see him understand too.
Brenden : All right, but for now let's just get to sleep, we can finish this conversation tomorrow.
Charlie : Alright.
Princess Lydia : Whatever you say, uncle.
Hearing that was surprising to Brenden, but it showed that Lydia and Charlie already accepted him, but he had to wait and see if Harumi and Lloyd would.
Everybody at the Campsite, and the Destiny's Bounty decided to rest for tomorrow, with Clouse on his way to free his men, and Eyezor out of the picture, thanks to Charlie, unless Pythor is found, the 3rd Serpentine War will commence.
Next Time on the Tournament of Elements 2.0 : The kids wake up, and try to help Nya and Pixal fix the Bounty, while Harumi, Kai, and Lloyd try to located Lydia and Charlie, meanwhile at the Campsite, before heading out to find them, Brenden decides to tell Charlie and Lydia about the events of his time in the Never-Realm, and one realm that nobody pays attention to, a realm parallel to the Never-Realm and Ninjago, known as the Realm of the Rivers, where unlike Ninjago where it's one land in the middle of the sea, its a lot of smaller lands with rivers running completely through it, while Skales and Kataru try to help locate Pythor's position, Akita also decides to introduce Charlie and Lydia to her kids Clayton and Zachary, who are both elemental masters, and are currently trying to find their animal forms in the Blackwood and Birchwood Forests of Ninjago, due to the Never-Realm falling in a massive storm.
The Question Remains : Will Clouse start the 3rd Serpentine War? Will Kai, Lloyd, and Harumi find their kids, with Charlie and Lydia convince Brenden and Akita to see Lloyd again?
